Kvarner Gulf is known for its beautiful beaches and clear waters. Kostrena Beach is 8 minutes away, and Zurkovo Beach is just 7 minutes. To explore underwater, Kostrena Diving Center is a 6-minute drive and can arrange scuba diving trips.

If you can tear yourself away from the beach, there is a lot of history to explore. The charming port of Bakar is just 20 minutes away and makes a wonderful day trip or evening out. Or there is the town of Kraljevica (22 minutes) which has not one, but two, castles as well as the Adriatic’s oldest shipbuilding yard.

The centre of Rijeka (10 mins) is a fascinating place to explore. Croatia’s main port has plenty of interesting places to visit. For self-catering the market (Monday to Saturday mornings) is worth a trip. Here you can find local produce to prepare and enjoy back at home. For other shopping, there is a supermarket just 4 minutes away and a large shopping centre, Tower Center, only a 3-minute drive.

Rijeka International Airport is just 30 minutes away, over the Krk bridge
