Here at Your Devon Escape we intend to leave you alone to enjoy your visit but we are on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Inside, you will find two cosy bedrooms, a double and a compact twin with a wash basin, alongside a bright living and dining space with picture windows that frame views of the river. The kitchen has the essentials required for a break away, while a shower room and separate WC add comfort. A washer and dryer are available in the utility space just outside the property.

Bed linen, towels, and high-speed BT internet are all provided, giving you the freedom to unwind, stream a film, work remotely, or plan your next adventure. The cottage’s riverside location means you can enjoy boats drifting by from the comfort of your living room or main bedroom.

Perfect for a couple or three adults, Foredeck is a peaceful bolthole with cottage-style charm, set on one of Dartmouth’s most historic streets. Just thirty metres from one of the town’s best viewpoints, you can start your day with morning coffee overlooking the river or watch the sunset paint the sky in the evening. From here it is only a short stroll to the harbour, embankment, shops, cafés, and restaurants, with the town centre minutes away.
On your doorstep you will find Dartmouth Castle, Bayard’s Cove, and ferries across the river to Kingswear, where the steam train runs to Paignton. The area is a haven for walkers, foodies, and families, with Blue Flag beaches such as Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands close by. For day trips, Salcombe, Bantham, and Dartmoor are all within easy reach, making Foredeck the ideal base to explore the best of South Devon.

Parking:
The property has no parking on site; however, we offer the use of a local parking permit that allows free parking in the park and ride car park, located at the top of town with use of the park and ride bus included which will transport you to and from. You can still load and unload outside the property. If the park and ride isn't running then you can catch the number 90 bus from Sainsburys into the town centre. Street parking is also available directly outside the property, unrestricted in winter, and in summer available overnight and for up to two hours during the day. You can pull up outside for easy loading and unloading at any time.
From 1st October - 30th April the town also offers less restrictive parking measure so parking locally is often possible on The Embankment, South Town and Newcomen Road.
