Excellent location for everything in Dartmouth. Very clean and well equipped with some lovely touches. Views from the top floor are great. Lounge and kitchen are a little compact. Paul is great host!

We had a lovely stay at The Bolthole, a long weekend , over Easter 2026. We were 5 adults and one baby and we found rooms to comfortably suit each of us! It’s a super house, perfectly positioned to explore Dartmouth and further afield . It is beautifully appointed with everything you could need and the hosts were very attentive and helpful. The attic bedroom with its double balconies and amazing views is a delight. The only thing to note is that there are very steep staircases so you need to be able bodied. We would throughly recommend this holiday rental .

Paul was a great host and gave us detailed information and instructions for our stay. The property was small but perfectly formed with wonderful views from the top floor. We managed to find 2 parking spaces in the street parking outside the property but I imagine this would be challenging in peak periods. The property was excellently situated and this was a huge advantage. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend to others.

Beautiful views in a great location

The property is newly renovated and nicely decorated. The views from the top floor are magnificient. It was very conveneint to have food and cafes at your doorstop or short walk away in town. We reqlly enjoyed the BOLTHOLE.

House is in great position for getting into town and very well kept. Parking was not easy once in main car park we tried not to move it.House big enough for 4 people.

Perfect location for enjoying everything Dartmouth has to offer. We found car parking spaces close to the property each evening, and we left the car up in the park and ride car park during the day, so no issues there. We're a family of 5, with two older teenagers and a 4 year old, so we used a blow up single mattress in our room (top floor) for the youngster and the teenagers had the other 2 rooms. Couldn't fault it overall.

We are a large, close family based in Staffordshire, with our business focus on caring for the elderly. Karen and I have three daughters, Charlotte, Courtney, Ottie and a son Scott. We love visiting Dartmouth, with a long family history of enjoyment here. We are very proud and fortunate to have our holiday home in Dartmouth, visiting most months, hoping that our guests feel it's a home from home as we do.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

The Bolthole is very well presented and decorated to suit its environment, receiving a number of improvements to enhance the pleasurable stay over the years we have owned it, most recently converting to the top floor bedroom, adding balconies offering spectacular views of the estuary, Kingswear and out to sea, past Dartmouth Castle. The property is based in the heart of the town, with parking opposite on a first come first served basis, this being unrestricted out of season. Shops, bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance. All bedrooms and communal areas have flat screen televisions, the bathrooms are well equipped with quality fittings and proper showers! there is free Wi-Fi throughout the building along with gas central heating.

When purchasing The Bolthole in 2007, Karen and I recognised immediately that this was the perfect holiday home, we were overwhelmed with the fabulous views and the 'quirky' feel of the property, which is typical of the area, along with it's close proximity to amenities, meaning we generally park the car upon arrival and never touch it again until we leave!
