This place was absolutely perfect! As well as looking just as amazing as it did in the pictures, there was clearly so much effort put in to make it and extra special home-away-from-home! For example, the designed bath robes, the chocolate on the pillow, stocking the bathroom with basically everything someone could need, an adorable handwritten note and basket of small treats! There was clearly so much work put in to make it as amazing as possible, and it very much paid off! The hosts were so easy to reach out to and were incredibly helpful in every scenario, and went above and beyond! Overall, will absolutely stay here again, if possible!

About the host
Hosted by Paul
We’re longtime Rochester residents and live right next door to the guest house, which we built ourselves. After years of enjoying unique short-term rentals during our own travels, we wanted to create that same welcoming experience here in our historic hometown. We love sharing the charm, character, and community that make Rochester such a special place to visit.
Why they chose this property
Rochester has a timeless magic about it — a place where history whispers through the cobbled streets and the bells of the cathedral mark the rhythm of the day.
We love watching the sun dip over the River Medway, the old castle glowing in the evening light, and the bustle of the High Street giving way to cozy evenings in welcoming pubs.
The town is full of hidden gems — independent shops, inviting cafés, and restaurants that make every meal feel like a discovery. When the mood strikes, we wander to the nearby coastal towns for sea air and fresh seafood, or hop on a train to London for a burst of city energy before returning home to Rochester’s peaceful charm.
It’s a place that captures hearts — and we’re always delighted to share it with others.
