Nestled among the cedars at the end of a peninsula, enjoy the privacy and beauty of Pike Lake and the Superior National Forest, and a cozy waterfront/lakeside cabin that sleeps up to five.

As a traveler, you'll love the cabin's amenities, including a queen bed in the main floor bedroom, and a queen and twin bed upstairs in the sleeping loft. The cabin has fast WiFi, a gas grill on the massive front deck, a lakeside fire pit, and a bathroom/laundry with washer/dryer combo unit, sink/vanity, and shower. The fully stocked kitchen, complete with gas stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and toaster, makes it easy to prepare delicious meals, which you can enjoy with a view of the lake. The dining room table also has plenty of room for playing games. All linens, dishes, toiletries, paper towels, cooking utensils, etc. are provided. Relax in the living room or step outside and take in the captivating lake views and enjoy the loons calling as you sip your coffee or unwind with a beverage. On chilly evenings, cozy up by the wood stove with a good book.

Quiet loveliness

Beautiful place. Very nice inside, great accommodations. Wild life, large lake. Above all else quiet!!! Plus all time high score in Yahtzee!!!

Cozy little cabin in the beautiful northwoods of Minnesota, extremely quiet area except for the loons! The lake was beautiful and clean. Cabin had all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay, full kitchen, chairs to set out around the fire pit, dock with a bench, picnic table, etc. It was about a 23 minute drive from Grand Marais, the last 7-8 miles were dirt roads and the last 1/4 mile would be rough for a low clearance vehicle.

Thanksgiving Getaway

Wonderful location, beautiful cabin. I absolutely fell in love with the calmness of the surrounding lake and the wintery forest. Kitchen was fully stoked with everything we needed. The only complaints - matress was not very comfortable and there were spider webs in the corners.

Winter Wonderland

Even though there was a lack of snow… we enjoyed the area for hiking and great restaurants! We loved playing games and the cozy fires at night. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable! Hope to come back and enjoy some fishing in the summer!

Extremely quiet and peaceful

I specifically looked into this place for its lake access, accessibility to our favorite SHT trails and stream access for trout fishing. Although the amount of rain made streams hard to access the fishing off the dock was remarkable. 2 of our highlights involved animal sightings. One early evening we spotted a black bear crossing the road. On another evening we witnessed an otter swim up on the dock and was eating crawfish. That amazing critter was bouncing all around the dock area and back yard. Priceless!!

Very clean but due for little yard maintenance.

Inside of cabin was very clean & having a washer/ dryer was nice. One bathroom worked for our group but a full length (or larger) mirror would be handy. Fishing was good. Location and lake were exactly what we wanted but exterior of property itself could use a little upkeep. Such as, tree trimming on the drive in so branches dont drag across vehicles. The yard area / firepit is also overgrown now.

Pike Lake Getaway

We had a lovely time in Grand Marais at this house, but the outside space left a bit to be desired. The pictures on the VRBO site didn't hold up as when we arrived the front of the house/deck area was covered with raspberry bushes that were coming up through the stairs and beneath the slats of the deck making it uncomfortable to hang out on the deck without getting pricked by the plants, as well as the lot itself was fairly overgrown which must have helped the mosquitos find homes as they were insatiable and once again, made it hard for us to spend anytime outside. The cabin was cute inside and just the right size. There is beautiful artwork on the walls, a fully stocked kitchen for cooking, but NO vents making it a hazard to cook without the fire alarm going off! The leather couches were comfy, but when we sat down the first day, popcorn flew out of the couch and upon further inspection it was filthy under the cushions - pet hair, popcorn, clothing, driftwood even! The lake was peaceful and beautiful - the cabin is located in a great spot and offers a lot of privacy and quiet solitude. There are beautiful wild flowers all around as well. However, the dock was so wobbly we couldn't really use it out of concern that we might fall over/in. Overall, we were happy with this place, but a few updates/cleaning of the yard and couches would make it a great place.

Cozy Cottage on the Lake

Relaxing area with a beautiful lake. Loved fishing off the dock located on the property. The cottage was very clean and accommodated all our needs.

Great place to stay!

This was a great stay. The view of the lake and seclusion of the woods was amazing. The cabin was clean and well-kept. Easy access to Grand Marais. The host is very responsive and the check in was simple. Greatly enjoyed our trip!

We didnt want to leave!

We fell in love instantly with this place. Has everything we could ever want or need. Any time we look to come back up to the area we want to stay there! Also, that wood stove is absolutely wonderful. I truly can't say enough good things! We'd buy it if we could lol.

Thanks for opening up your cabin. The cabin is great, real quiet, dock needs to be sturdier, we caught a few walleyes, very nice area. the only negative is there is a lot of flies both dead and alive inside. but it is the woods. overall, we would stay there again.

Beautiful Fall Retreat

Peaceful and relaxing. We love the indoor wood stove for cozy morning reading as well as the large deck for the same with coffee. Great Lake and star views from the outdoor fire pit. The sunsets are glorious! We are repeat guests.

Winter Getaway

My friend and I needed a winter getaway and I hadn't been to Grand Marais for years. This was the private, woodsy setting I was looking for. The lake was frozen, but would be lovely in the summer. Thinking about returning with my canoe! This is a weird winter. No usable snow for skiing, hiking; so we hiked with our Yak Trax and it was great exercise. The cabin is cozy with a good working wood stove. Beds were comfy and we had a great kitchen to cook in. I brought my service dog and she loved the woods and enjoyed guarding the front porch. Thanks for making this lovely property available.
