Nichols Street Suites, in town at 85 Nichols St. This is our smaller Suite #2 and is 625 square feet and a very comfy space. Shared entrance with suite #1, courtesy kitchenette (microwave, toaster/coffee maker only), Full bath, Street facing balcony, Queen bed, double bed and queen sleeper sofa. Bedrooms separated by heavy curtains. Sleeps 4 with options. Original artwork , antique and contemporary furnishings, cable, family friendly. Walking distance to ferry and all in town amenities. Off street parking available. Nichols Street Suites is Non Smoking facility...Sorry, no pets.Thanks for looking! In Season Rates May 15 thru Oct. 15. We are available during business hours downstairs for questions and island recommendations.

Superb location. Nice and bright and clean. Dorm size refrigerator, tiny sink and small microwave made any in room eating a challenge. Otherwise perfect for us.

Lovely Weekend Stay

We loved our time at Friday Harbor and this listing was perfection. Everything was accurate. The location is perfect and so accessible to anything you’d want to do. I’ll definitely stay here again on another visit to San Juan Island.

Perfect Spot!

This was a great place to stay, very clean, and comfortable! The owners were super nice and very helpful. The place is located in a perfect spot to walk to any of the shops and dining so you don’t have to stress about finding parking. We will definitely be back!

Great Home Base for Exploring the Islands

We loved this property! It was clean, well-stocked with everything we needed, and walk-ably close to everything in town. The owner is friendly and communicated promptly and clearly. Would definitely recommend!

Four nights right in the heart of beautiful downtown Friday Harbor, with everything just steps away. Three days of biking around the island, with beautiful weather throughout. There was a classical music festival right across the street every day! Everything about this stay was FANTASTIC!

Awesome location!

We really love the location of our lodging.. Beds were very comfortable, and the place was clean. I would recommend having screens on the windows because it was very stuffy and the portable fan was way too loud. I would definitely come back.

Comfortable and Convenient

This place is within walking distance of all of downtown Friday Harbor and the waterfront. Check in process was a breeze with Annie and the room was clean. We were out and about for most of our stay but did watch a movie one night in the living area. We would definitely recommend this place!

Island summer getaway

My best friend was visiting from England and I thought a trip to San Juan Island would be a nice excursion with my adult daughters tagging along. The apartment is really cute and clean with a little outdoor balcony with table and chairs. Very close to the Ferry so great for either walking on or driving on. Parking spot for use. Many great restaurants nearby.

Friday Harbor

Funk & Junk lodging was great! Simple check-in.The rooms were very clean and tidy. We enjoyed our host's artwork on the walls. Absolutely PERFECT location right downtown close to shops, restaurants, whale museum, Susie's mopeds and the ferry. Loved sitting on the balcony late afternoon enjoying the city view. Would highly recommend and would stay there again if we get back to Anacortes!

Owner was very fast at replying to online questions and key was ready when we got there. Suite was very clean and plenty big for two people. Beds quite comfortable. Drawbacks were that it was warm (August), no a/c and all but two windows don't open. There's a door to the balcony we left open overnight but couldn't get cross breeze so it was too warm at night. Street below can be noisy at night/early morning with door and two windows open. Wouldn't be a problem during cool months.

Perfect place

Friday Harbor is a quaint little town. This place was a perfect place to walk to everything in town, including the ferry. It was just 2 of us, but it could have easily accommodated 2 couples, or a small family. Things in town close early. It was nice getting food to go and having a quiet sunset dinner on the balcony. I'd readily stay here again!

First trip to Friday Harbor

Nice location for our first trip to Friday Harbor. Would have comfortably slept 5 to 6 adults in the smaller apartment with the fold out sofa. The street facing porch was an added bonus. The only disappointment was lack of a coffee maker.

Michael and Annie are longtime residents of Friday Harbor. We both have a history of commercial fishing in Alaska where we met in Sitka. Michael is from Massachusetts and Annie is the rare true Washingtonian who grew up in the Seattle area. Her family has been a part of the island since the 40's...Annie's interests are plein aire painting, and art in general. Michael is a long time musician who builds guitars in his spare time and is fond motorcycles and Studebakers.We are both are avid antique lovers and have owned Funk & Junk Antiques for over 30 years. Funk and Junk is below Nichols Street Suites and is a full service shop offering appraisals, auctions and all other estate services. We have one son Avery who is a chef on Orcas Island and is also a fine musician. We are part of the larger Friday Harbor Community and love where we live! see us!
