A short stroll from the long, sandy shores of Capitolo, Villetta Tiella invites guests to experience authentic Puglia near the coast. Wrapped in silvery olive groves and kissed by the sea breeze, this historic farmhouse is a soulful blend of ancient charm and thoughtful modernity.


Inside, original stone floors and centuries-old vaulted ceilings speak to the home’s heritage, whilst contemporary design and furnishings bring effortless style. With a unique layout that works well for 6-8 guests, Villetta Tiella comprises two side-by-side air-conditioned dwellings that are joined by a large door connecting both living spaces. Altogether, there are three en suite bedrooms for 6 guests (plus two additional shower rooms) and two single sofa-beds in one of the living rooms.


On one side of the house, step into the stylish open-plan living-dining area with its well-equipped kitchen and sleek sofas. Walk through to a bright double bedroom with a high ceiling and a spacious en suite shower room. A second smaller shower room can also be found between the sleeping and living quarters.


The other side of the house, almost mirrored in design, also features a chic open-plan living space with French windows opening to the main terrace with its ancient olive tree and outdoor dining area beneath a shaded sail. Pass another shower room as you walk down the steps to the first bedroom, light-filled with its vaulted ceiling and pretty blue doors. Another connecting double bedroom awaits, this one smaller and rustic. Both bedrooms benefit from their own modern en suite shower rooms.


Outdoors, life unfolds beside the olive trees. Whether savouring breakfast in the dappled morning light, lighting the wood-fired oven for a long lunch or enjoying an aperitivo under the stars, every moment here is made to linger. Multiple seating areas and garden space create the ideal setting for relaxed days and convivial evenings.


Capitolo’s glorious beaches lie around 400 metres away, reachable on foot via a scenic path through the olive trees or by bicycle. When it’s time to explore further, the historic lanes of Monopoli and Fasano are a short drive away. Day trips to Polignano a Mare and Alberobello offer coastal drama and fairytale trulli landscapes in equal measure.


At Villetta Tiella, tailor-made experiences elevate the stay: private chefs, cooking classes, wine tastings and curated excursions are all available on request. Whether shared with friends or savoured as a family, this is a place where the spirit of Puglia shines through in every detail.

A short walk from the beautiful shores of the Adriatic, Villetta Tiella enjoys an enviable position in one of Puglia’s most sought-after seaside spots, just 10km south of Monopoli.


Framed by olive trees, this beautifully restored farmhouse sits on the road connecting Fasano (10km) and the seaside resort of Capitolo (2km), where soft sands meet the glittering turquoise sea. A leisurely 10-minute walk along a scenic path leads you towards the beach, while bike hire is available for those wishing to cycle to the coast.


Summertime brings the coastline to life, with lidos, beach bars and restaurants dotted along the wider coast. Whether you’re swimming in calm waters, sipping a chilled aperitivo by the sea or trying your hand at watersports, this is beachside living at its finest. Please note that opening dates/hours are seasonal for all coastal restaurants, bars and lidos with some only open in high season.
Just a short drive away, the prestigious San Domenico Golf Club offers 18 holes with a sea view, perfect for keen golfers looking to combine play with picture-perfect scenery.


For authentic local flavour, nearby Fasano (10km) is a bustling town where narrow streets lead to welcoming piazzas, family-run trattorias and historic churches. It’s an ideal spot to pick up fresh produce and sample Puglia’s renowned olive oil - be sure to visit the olive oil museum just outside town for a deeper dive into this culinary staple. For a taste of coastal charm, the vibrant fishing port of Monopoli (10km) delights with its baroque churches, pretty harbour and atmospheric old town.


Continue north to Polignano a Mare (18km), where dramatic cliffs, sea-view terraces and winding alleys offer a romantic and unforgettable setting. Inland, the UNESCO-listed trulli of Alberobello (23km) transport you into a fairytale world of conical rooftops and cobbled lanes.


From Villetta Tiella, the wider Itria Valley is also within easy reach, with Cisternino, Locorotondo and Ostuni all around 30 to 40 minutes by car, each rich in beauty, tradition and regional cuisine.
