It’s a very nice property with plenty of garage parking and outside parking. All the rooms have there own bathroom which is very rare and nice. Easy access to the beach and a good size back yard for events. Ross the owner was very helpful aswell and its definitely a place we will stay in the future.

We held our wedding at Ross’ home and we couldn’t have asked for a better space and host. Ross was the most responsive host we have experienced. He was kind and understanding of our needs for a small wedding space and his place is perfect for that. We will forever be grateful for Ross’ piece he played in our special day.

We had the most perfect wedding at this stunning beach house! We had our eyeson the house for over a year prior to booking it, and I am so glad we did. It was the perfect place to have all of our family members stay, and each part of the house and the yard were so beautiful. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to have our dream wedding, and Ross was so easy to communicate with and was helpful throughout the whole process. I highly recommend this property!

Absolutely beautiful home on a quiet stretch of beach. Very well accommodated and everything works perfectly. Family from Minnesota and Oregon shared a week here. The kitchen was very well organized and stocked with great pans where we cooked several meals. The screen porch was nice when it rained a bit and it helped when it was a bit too windy. Great spot!

Property was very nice but had a few issues during the week. Day one drain in one bathtub was clogged. Owner said I could clear it or he would send plumber out on Monday. I cleaned it since bathtub had to be used to bath my 1 year old granddaughter. Don’t feel that was my place to do and unacceptable to not have it cleaned that same day. First floor air conditioner started not keeping up with keeping house cool. Owner said cause was a deficient part which was identified the week before and had been ordered but was never fixed before our checkout at the end of the week. Lastly, the refrigerator doors are out of alignment and will not close properly unless you specifically push on them. This created a couple times or fridge doors not getting completely closed, therefore fridge did not stay as cool as it should.

Steve - sorry we did not earn a 5 star stay. I did my best in responding and offering solutions as rapdily as i could. Things break and i am at mercy of my vendors and parts availability. Especially regarding the slow drainging tub drain conisdering we have 3 other ones working fine, a next day plumber service call is pretty resonable. We would still be happy to have you back in the future.

This property was truly everything we could have hoped for to stay for our wedding on Folly Beach. Our highlights were the "bunk" room, huge kitchen and dining room table, and the screened in porch. The proximity to the beach doesn't hurt either. It is spacious and perfect for a large group. They seem to have thought of most things you could want!

Annual folly trip

This was our 10th summer in Folly and this was now our second time staying at A Beach Thing. We will absolutely stay here every time we visit. Beautiful house, so clean, excellent accommodations, and even better communication from the host. Thank you again for keeping our family tradition going in the best way!
