About this property

Silver Lake Cabin and Bunk House with North Woods Charm

Charming resort cabin with additional bunk house on beautiful Silver Lake! Very clean lake for great swimming, fishing and boating. Nice level lake shore in close proximity to cabin. The cabin is small but accommodating with open great room, one bedroom and 3/4 bath with shower, and beautiful fireplace. Can sleep 3-4 with queen bed in bedroom and full size futon in great room. The bunk house has a 1/2 bath, futon and 2 full sized beds in loft. There is an outside shower on the bunk house for rinsing off sandy feet. There is a convenient public boat launch next to property. The neighboring cabins are in close proximity but each faces a different direction for some privacy. Swimming and fishing off the dock is great! Paddleboat on shore available for your use.

Great location between Spooner, Hayward and Minong. Walking distance to Silver Lake Saloon. Also, very close Jack's canoe rental on the Namekogen River. The cabin is a short block off the Wild River Trail, great for ATV and snowmobile riding.

The bunkhouse is included in the price but an additional $50 cleaning fee applies. The bunk house is not available November through March. There is a 4 person limit for using the main cabin in the winter months.

Relaxing Getaway
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quaint cabin! The cabin had everything we needed, and having a separate bunkhouse for an extra sleeping area was a bonus. The owners were great and quickly responsive to any questions and even provided us a place to park our boat trailer. The fishing was great for panfish even off the dock and we caught several northern and bass. There was a great supply of firewood for our evening campfires. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind!

First cabin stay
This was our first time up in this area. We absolutely loved it. Not only was it easy to find, it was easy to get to the grocery store. Our son caught his first fish! The paddle boat was so fun and an awesome included feature for us since we didn't have a boat or canoes. We will be back!

Wonderful vacation week!
We stayed at this property for our 4th of July vacation. It was exactly what we needed. Husband and I stayed in the main cabin while the “kids” slept out in the bunk house (11, 17 and 19) They enjoyed their own space and so did we! The interior of the main cabin is so cute and very clean. Loved the rustic feel with modern amenities. The kitchen was well stocked, There wasn’t anything we looked for that they didn’t have! Water was nice and hot as well for showers and washing dishes! The lake itself is small, but the perfect size for paddling (we brought our own kayaks and paddle board, but there is a nice pedal boat provided) We also brought our keys who and it was perfect for pulling g the kids tubing out going out to the middle for a deep swim! There is a swim platform at the end of the dock that got plenty of use by us as well! The kids enjoyed fishing from the dock, near the boat launch and our deep. They caught mostly Bass and panfish. Yes, the neighbors are close, but it never felt that way. The public beach and boat landing are right next to the property but even over the Fourth of July it wasn’t crazy there! Everyone was very nice, friendly and respectful. We met the owners and they were extremely nice and offered help with anything we needed. There’s a saloon down the road, atv trails run right by the property, and Spooner, Trego, Minong and even Hayward were just a short drive away. Location was great. We will absolutely be back again!

We are married with 4 adult children and 1 grandchild. We live in the western suburbs of the Twin Cities. The cabin has been an easy commute. Our best family time has been spent at this special place. Memories of waterfront fun, fishing, boating, campfires and cabin games have carved a special place in our hearts. As our family grows with spouses, significant others and more grandchildren, we needed something bigger and were lucky to land a spot on the same beautiful lake. Happy with our new spot but not yet ready to part with this beautiful gem. VRBO seems like a good fit for now. Hope you enjoy as we have!!

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the area. The hills of Lampson are absolutely beautiful. Silver Lake has a pristine quality that we couldn't find elsewhere. We have enjoyed the family of loons, the nesting bald eagles. The gradual slope of the sandy beach is ideal for swimming and the proximity from cabin to the water is ideal! The surrounding area has everything you need, conveniently located between Hayward, Spooner and Minong.

What makes this property unique

The ability to walk out the door and be on the dock in seconds is the best!
