Flawed but great overall

Cons: Long flight of stairs to reach the elevator. Views are of neighboring walls. Construction sounds and neighbors’ conversations bled through walls. Living room furniture not designed for comfortable lounging. Pros: Meters from a Metro stop. Lots of restaurants nearby. Nice hosts. Pleasant environment. Washer/drier in unit. Lots of little amenities.Great choice overall.

Apartamento interior acogedor y limpio en una muy buena localización. Zona muy tranquila que garantiza el descanso. Con espacio suficiente para dos adultos y dos niños, cuenta con un cómodo sofá-cama. Michael ha resultado ser un excelente anfitrión, agradable y atento. Repetiríamos sin duda.

Convenient

Overall for a weeks stay we felt the apartment was clean and passable. I felt like I was in a college type apartment not an elegant place. Since the property is older there were items unfamiliar to us to use. Suggest spending more time explaining the appliances - sink didn’t smell good so we didn’t use the kitchen. And we couldn’t fire out the stove even to heat up our pizza one night. The bar area lights and the bedroom wall lights didn’t work. The outlets don’t work for USA electronics. May in future a suggestion would be nice to provide a few converters for those renting from other areas of the world. The neighbors with a small child were heard but only because their apartment was so close by. If we had stayed in and wanted some quiet time we may have been uncomfortable listening to them. On the positive side we felt that all our activities were easy by metro to access. We also felt safe.

Süßes Appartment mittendrin

…. Und dank der Fenster zum Innenhof total ruhig. Tolle Gegend, alles entweder zu Fuß oder per Metro schnell erreichbar. Appartement ist sehr schön, mit hohen Decken, recht klein, aber alles wichtige vorhanden. Das Bad ist für deutsche Verhältnisse etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Verwinkelt und etwas ungepflegt und nicht ganz sauber. Insgesamt aber sehr zu empfehlen

Perfect vocation

The apartment is wonderful and well equipped in a beautiful building. The location is great and recommended. The owner is a very pleasant guy who is available at all times. I would really recommend this place, it made our vacation even more perfect.

un pò deludente appartamento chiuso tra due mura condominiali !!

Appartamento con poca luce perchè CHIUSO TRA DUE MURA di condominio. Non adatto a chi soffre di claustrofobia. Non corrisponde alle fotografie, risulta piu' piccolo e piu' vecchio. Non funzionano due faretti della cucina (5a foto); manca il tappeto (1a foto); manca la lampada (2a foto). Le sedie sono diverse da quelle della 2a foto: piu' brutte. Divano letto comodo ma vecchiotto. Nella doccia non c'è luce e funziona solo la doccetta .. Abbiamo detto a Michael che non andava bene ma lui non ci ha aiutato a risolvere. Inoltre non c'è cortile, come descritto nell'annuncio, ma si vede un tetto sporco. Parcheggio non si trova, l'unico in zona che ci è stato consigliato da Michael è carissimo.

Die Wohnung liegt gut, ist aber "heruntergewohnt" und dunkel, da man beiseitig auf Mauern sieht.

Die Wohnung hat eine gute Lage nahe dem Marais-Viertel. Leider war in der Dusche an der Decke starker Schimmelbefall und die Möbel als auch der Teppich machten einen sehr ungepflegten Eindruck. Bei der Küche hingen teils die Türen nicht fest, auch der Eingangsbereich des Hauses war sehr ungepflegt. Die Kücheneinrichtung bestand aus 5 Tellern und wenig Besteck. Mit vier Personen ist die Größe gerade noch ausreichend, auf den Betten konnte man gut schlafen. Stauraum für 4 Personen ist auch ausreichend in den Schränken vorhanden. In Summe betrachtet würden wir das Apartment nicht mehr buchen. Michael, der Host, war sehr freundlich und hat nach seinen Möglichkeiten versucht, die Missstände etwas zu beheben. Ihm sei Dank ausgesprochen!

Très calme et bien placé

Excellent accueil de la part de Mickaël ; petit appartement au calme donnant sur cour intérieure avec une literie (lit & canapé lit) de bonne qualité. Très bien localisé. Il manque 2 grand rideaux sur les fenêtres de la cuisine pour permettre au canapé lit du salon, d'égaler le confort de la chambre. Dommage.

Well appointed, well equipped, welcoming

With the metro just around one corner, a park in front, a market around another corner and just a mile walk to Notre Dame - we found the location to be convenient. We didn't feel too cramped with one adult and 2 kids. The beds, linens and towels were all nice. The washer & dryer were such a nice perk. Michael was wonderful and very accommodating. His friends checked us in as he was out of town and they were lovely also.

Adequate

The apartment has all the amenities described. Unfortunately, the shallowness of the bathroom sink rendered it almost unusable. The directions for the washer and dryer were less than specific, which made them difficult to use. The balance of the apartment was as described. Our stay occurred during some unusually hot days and nights in Paris. The available fans were greatly appreciated. The security deposit was promptly returned.

The proper family accommodation for a great holiday in Paris

Nice flat and excellent location, about 50 meters from the subway. The apartment manager, Michaël, was able to support us, quickly and effectively, whenever we needed. / Ottimo appartamento ed eccellente posizione, a circa 50 metri dalla metropolitana. Definitely going back!

We had a horrendous journey to Paris, and despite arriving more than 2 hours later than planned, Michael ensured we had a quick entry into the flat. It was a lovely place in a great location. We would definitely consider going back again.

Perfection

The apartment was in the perfect area for our family vacation. This was our first international trip with our 2 year old daughter and the apartment worked out great. Michael provided a crib for us at no additional cost, the unit had a washer and dryer that worked great and the park across the street was the highlight of our daughters visit to Paris. The apartment itself was quiet and cozy, the perfect size for 2 adults and a child. Even better then the apartment is Michael the owner. Michael is attentive and responsive to anything and everything you may need. We had a few hiccups during our stay that were completely out of Michael hands and he immediately assisted us within 15mins of reaching out to him. We love our stay and would consider staying here on our next trip to Paris.

Quiet and comfortable base for exploring Paris

The apartment was quiet and comfortable and close to the Haut Marais. The kitchen was adequately equipped with plenty of plates and cups. The main bed and sofa bed were very comfortable and there was plenty of clothes storage and hanging space. The washing machine and tumble drier were very welcome. Tips for making this a 5 star review would be mending the main shower head, replacing the crockery before guests check in ( we found this odd) and providing information about the amazing restaurants and cafes close by as well as nearest boulangerie and Carrefour / supermarket (nearest are at Arts et Metiers) Personal favourites for eating were 'Le Marche aux enfants rouges' for superb food and around Temple for cool bars. Le Valentin on Passage Jouffrey has an amazing selection of teas and patisserie. Please note this apartment is on the very fringe of the Haut Marais. The Taxi driver advised to be thoughtful about walking back late at night from Sebastopol metro. Arts et Metiers is a safer option. Overall a great base for exploring Paris.

Great location, authentic french apartment

My husband, 12 year old daughter and cousin rented Sweet Paris in mid-July and had a wonderful stay. Michael was very responsive and met us when we arrived and was flexible to accommodate our arrival time. The apartment was very clean and was in a very convenient location. Close to the subway, 10 minute walk to Notre Dame, a few steps away from Monoprix-a grocery store(s) and several nice cafes. Paris can be loud with car horns, sirens, people talking and it's typical not to have air conditioning so windows are open. The apartment was on the inside of a building which kept the outside noise down. While it would have been nice to have a view of the city streets, we were out sightseeing everyday and preferred the quiet time for sleeping. The only recommendation is to have coffee/tea mugs for guests.

This little appartement was perfect !

Michael was certainly the best host! Communication with him was easy, he always make sure to return emails and phone calls and came himself to open the door of the apartment. The place is very charming, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, functional and centrally located. Situated on a pedestrian street, the appartement is steps away from the subway and city bikes. The description of the place correspond the the place. I totally recommend this place and would go back myself.

Good location but advertised photos deceiving.

Michael was great to deal with. He answered all my questions and requests. It is a good location close to everything even the metro. The only down side are the advertised pictures were a bit deceiving. Because it made the space far more spacious, much cleaner and brighter than it really was. It really felt like a rush cleaning job and it was very disappointing. I don't have a basis for comparison but it seemed like a good value considering.

Sweet Paris Review

This was the 3rd property I went through VRBO in Paris and by far the least of the three but also the least expensive. The location was acceptable although the view from the windows in the apartment was only walls of adjacent buildings. A lovely park was directly across from the apartment building and within a short walk we found all items needed for a pleasant stay in great abundance: groceries, markets, restaurants, everything. Good points: best clothes washer and dryer I have so far found in a European rental, comfortable bed and living room couch, more than adequate number of electrical outlets, owner's response to problems was very quick, wifi and TV were excellent, plenty of closet and clothes storage space. Weaknesses: problems with heating in apartment which was especially troublesome as the early part of the stay was a very cold period in Paris (The apartment had no thermostat for temperature control. It was in another apartment.), hot water delivery failed on one occasion, overhead shower head did not work although there was hand wand for showering, items missing, e.g. laundry detergent, dish washing liquid, toilet paper (only one roll provided), a collection of kitchen utensils that was sparse. Items found in previous rentals were absent in this rental: press coffee maker, filters for the drip coffee maker, cooking spices, e.g. salt, pepper, others. Finally, if I were to return to Paris for a considerable stay, i.e. a week or more, and wished to stay in the 3rd, I would not choose this apartment again nor would I recommend it to anyone with similar resources to mine. For the price this apartment would likely be an acceptable choice.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at this apartment during our honeymoon. The apartment itself is beautiful and felt much bigger than it seemed in the photos. The bed was very comfortable, and overall, the apartment was super clean and in a really convenient location. Close to all the main attractions and the many great restaurants and shopping of our new favourite district - Le Marais! We arrived in the morning, and our host Michael was very accommodating and even let us check in a bit early. He was very accessible throughout our stay and if I have had a question about the accommodations or even the neighbourhood, he was very quick to respond via email or text. We also really enjoyed using the bike-share program to get around the city, and conveniently, there was a station right across the street from the apartment. I would highly recommend using this to get around - especially if the weather is nice. It's the perfect way to see Paris! I would definitely recommend this apartment, and we would love to stay here again when we eventually return to Paris :) Lisa & Alex

Everything you could ask for: a charming, well-equipped apartment in an excellent location.

This apartment is situated opposite a pleasant square, a stone's throw from the nearest Metro. There are plenty of bakeries and a very good supermarket (Monoprix) a few moments' walk away on Boulevard Sebastopol. The apartment itself is just as represented on the website: compact, cosy, well-equipped and nicely appointed. We stayed only 3 nights but there is such a clever use of space that you could easily stay here for much longer - plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space! There was loads of hot water, the shower is great, and the towels are very large and fluffy. Surprisingly, given the bustling location, it is very quiet at night. Communication was very efficient regarding our arrival, and the welcome was very friendly. Highly recommended: we would love to return again and again.

Excellente prestation

Appartement très agréable, idéalement situé, conforme aux photos, bien agencé (avons séjourné avec nos 2 grands ados 4 jours) silencieux et point à ne pas négliger : literie d'excellente qualité, déco aux tonalités douces reposantes après une bonne journée parisienne, coin cuisine bien équipé , accueil sympathique de Mickaël, dispo si nécessaire à recommander

An exceptional Parisian apartment in an ideal location.

I lived in Paris for 6 years and can vouch for this being an exceptionally nice apartment. The location is perfect (the building touches the La Gaite Lyrique and is right next to the Musee des Arts et Metiers). Line 3 on the Metro is a minute away and it is an easy walk to many fantastic places. There is a Monoprix across the street (if you don't know it, it is a very nice grocery store), an ATM right outside and the post-office is around the corner. It is a very cozy and a pleasant space. Michael was great and took good care of me. (Merci encore Michael...) My only regret was not getting to spend a bit more time in the apartment, which I may remedy next time I am in Paris. I plan on booking this apartment next time I am in Paris.
