About this property
The Vishani Villa, your home away from home, really!
No construction Contractors please- sorry bad experiences.
Thank you for stopping by. Our home does feel like home, named after our children. It is also advertised on Air B&B as "The Vishani Villa." It is a simple home with a warm feeling. Everyone has enough room to spread out. It is an older simpler home, clean and very comfortable, lots of space to spread out.
It is close to the South Venice Beach on Manasota Key. Included is the ferry pass access (good for the family up to 6 persons) to the South Venice beach on the barrier island. Take the ferry to a private beach. Best shark tooth spot! It’s a little paradise, but do check out all the other lovely beaches. Siesta Key is about 20 minutes away, all others 5 to 10 minutes.
AMENITIES
Our house provides all the comforts as we also use this. Dishes, tablecloths, TV etc all available for your convenience and comfort.
MASTER BEDROOM's Queen size bed
GUEST BEDROOM Queen size bed
The THIRD BEDROOM has queen/full
Two queen sofa beds and
Two family rooms
Two patios Ac and non Ac
Boat shed for parking

COST OF RENTAL
Please note, the snowbird months, especially February to March, monthly renters are preferred.
Stays for less than 6 months have an additional 12% tax as required by the local government, cleaning fee of $125 and a deposit of $400.00. If the house is rented for at least 6 months, the 7% sales tax and 5% tourist tax will not be added to the rental amount. During the other periods of the year rental price is lower. Flexible check in and check out times based on any subsequent bookings.
NEIGHBORHOOD
Nice, quiet and safe, rural area in established neighborhood, no traffic, in close proximity to the restaurants and major stores (about 5 min car ride). The house is 5 to 8 minutes walk to the ferry or a 1 min drive. The ferry leaves every 30 minutes, I believe and takes 5 minutes to cross to the private beach. You can take small items on the ferry. The sun is extremely direct so you need some coverage.
Manasota and Sharky's beaches are located only 5 miles away.
I loved the hike form Manasota Key to the private beach, you can actually hike all the way to Sharky's, fun day! Did pack lunch though.
There are several groceries and restaurants nearby but you would have to drive or cycle. The Historic Venice avenue of unique shops, restaurants, special events, Farmer's Market, tennis courts and Children's Fountain are close by. Manasota Beach, Caspersen Beach, Sharky's and Fisherman's Pier are only minutes away.
GETTING AROUND
Walking, biking, driving. You are not far away from the famous miracle healing waters of WARM MINERAL SPRINGS in NORTH PORT, FL (25 min drive). It is the second biggest warm water mineral spring in the western hemisphere. The legal classification of a mineral spring varies in different parts of the world but it is generally accepted that it must contain greater than 100 PPM (parts per million) of naturally dissolved solids.
Close to Busch Gardens 1 hr 15mins
Close to 5 other beaches but of course the private ferry is the closest with no driving required
Shamrock Park offers tennis courts and playground. Nature trails and Butterfly garden.
Bike the Venetian Waterway to the Legacy Trail.

About the host
Hosted by Gail Jagessar

We are a family of four. The house was named after my two children.
Why they chose this property
We first visited South Venice for vacation in 2017 and fell in love with the area. Started looking for a small place but prices kept going up. We ended up purchasing a little more than we had planned but loving every minute. We go up there at least once a month.
What makes this property unique
Quiet town and street. Most mom and pops are closed on Sundays, only large chains opens. People are so friendly and we enjoy getting on the ferry as often as we can to enjoy the sunset.
