About Combet Florence
I am a happy retired woman who loves art and spends most of her time organising cultural manifestations involving street art. I spend my time between the centre of Montpellier and Cevennes, which I like very much because of the beauty and the magnificent hiking trails that can be found there.
Combet Florence purchased this Apartment in 2006
Why Combet Florence chose Montpellier
This apartment, which is located in the same building as the main residence, has been bought in order to host our children who live far away from us. When they are not here, this house is available as a holiday rental.
What makes this Apartment unique
When we arrived in Montpellier 18 years ago, we literally fell in love with the neighbourhood where we live now. We decided to give a new life to these apartments that needed a reform, which we carried out respecting the authentic architecture.

Charming apartment in historic centre
We stayed with our 4 year old daughter. Charming apartment in a great location with bakery next door and cafes nd restaurants close by. Florence was there to meet us and very helpful. She also suggested a car park before we arrived which was conveniently located. Spotlessly clean apartment and well equipped kitchen. Montpellier was also lovely.
Comfy, modernized historic apartment in the very heart of Montpellier.
This surprisingly spacious apartment would fit 4 quite comfortably. There's a modern, well appointed kitchen (under well-restored 300 year-old roof beams) 2 showers, a separate WC, and views, views, views! We enjoyed watching a French TV series being filmed right outside on two mornings. The lovely proprietors are right on site and even insisted on carrying my suitcase up 3 flights of stairs. They also stocked the fridge with milk for my tea. There's fantastic, original art on the walls (collage and acrylic) and cheerful linens on the beds. This building is right next door to one of the best traditional boulangeries in Montpellier, so enjoy! I highly recommend this delightful property!
Lovely building in the heart of old town
Fully functional kitchen, bath, with two bedrooms overlooking a lovely square.
Great apartment perfectly situated
Sunny, nice street view, situated in lovely area. Highly recommended.
Fantastic apartment in the heart of the historic quarter
My family and I stayed for three nights in August 2017 and this really is an excellent base for a family of four.
The apartment is beautiful- old beams feature in the living area and there's the sweetest little window in the ensuite shower.
It's within easy reach of many restaurants and historic sites.
Highly recommended and the owner was friendly and helpful. A great place to stay.
We have spent a month in this apartment twice. The listing is very accurate, and the price more than reasonable. It is in an excellent location, just off the historic Place de la Canourgue. It is just within the medieval center, so everything there is within easy walking distance. The apartment is well appointed, clean and well maintained, with a kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bath. The boulangerie next door is one of the best in the city. There are many restaurants nearby-try especially L'Atypik, which is owned by the landlords' son. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The train station is about 10 minutes away on foot, and Place de la Comedie even closer. When the new tram line opens (July 2016), it will be even easier to get from the train station to the apartment. One thing to note-it is on the 4th (American) floor, 3rd (French) without an elevator.

On one side, the Arc de Triomphe, the royal square of Peyrou, and the botanic garden that was created upon the request of Henri IV. On the other side, Saint Peter’s Cathedral, Canourgue Square, and Mikvé. Just next to it, you can find the Medical School and the Anatomy Museum, the Courthouse, and the City Hall. Foch Street, the place to go for high-class shopping, and Loge Street, both located two steps away, take you to Comedy Square that is still called « the egg » by the old citizens of Montpellier and to the vast Esplanade and Corum-Congress Centre and Opera. Twice a week, the Arceaux market will entertain those who love colours and the smells of midday. On Sundays, the exposition of antiques takes place at the royal square of Peyrou. The parking space that is located nearby allows you to enjoy all the tourist attractions of the area, as well as the beach, which is very close. Montpellier gives direct access to the sea with the beaches of Palavas and Grande Motte. In the east, you can visit Aigues Mortes and the Camargues with its salt plains and flamingos. In the west, you can go to Sète and the lake of Thau for tasting oysters. In the north, less than one hour away, you can visit the Cevennes region, whose valleys and villages are full of historic and religious heritage. You can also enjoy the famous Anduze bamboo grove. Wine enthusiasts cannot miss the wine producers, where you can taste Coteaux du Languedoc, Pic Saint-Loup, Faugères or Picpoul de Pinet.
