This place is fantastic. The kitchen is a dream come true, very beautiful tons of spices. And the place is walking distance to skiing.

Cozy home!

This home in Truckee offers everything you would need when away from your home. From inside to outside the place is comfortable, cozy, safe and clean. It has all the modern amenities you could desire. I definitely recommend this place. I had a wonderful time there. .

Everything worked, house was nice, a very short walk to Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Resort. We would stay there again.

Awesome memorial day weekend

Hawk's Peak is a beautiful, convenient and well maintained accommodation! We were 2 families staying at the place over a long weekend- we had a blast. The amenities are great (BBQ, Jacuzzi, kitchen, backyard), location is great, and the guest services are very responsive, courteous and attentive to our needs. Highly recommended!

Perfect Family Getaway

Absolutely perfect stay for our annual family trip. The home was spacious, clean, equipped with everything we could need and in an ideal location. We didn’t have to leave the immediate area for anything, and had a very relaxing time. The hot tub was a wonderful treat and the area was quiet, clean and safe. We’re looking forward to staying again!

Love the house, especially the large family friendly open plan living/dining/kitchen area and the hot tub. A couple of small issues: the gas fireplace did not work and there was no soap or shampoo in the bathrooms.

Fantastic house!

We were a group of 4 adults and 4 kids and the house was plenty big enough for us all. The house is beautifully appointed with high-end appliances and a very well-stocked kitchen. The beds were super comfy. The only real downside was the house next door was being rebuilt and we were woken by banging noises very early every morning. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

The best ski trip with kids

The house was very clean and fantastic fit for 2 families. The living room was great for evening entertainment. The ski lift is pretty much walking distance and with all the snow storms and power outages we got, it was the best to keep the car in the garage. speaking of power outages... yes the house had a generator which was welcome bonus

Beautiful home in great location

Lovely property overall! Inside felt very clean and well maintained. WiFi and cable were not working for most of our stay, so that was a bummer. And we were unable to use the firepit even though it was gas. Also the construction next door started rather early in the day!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear that the wifi was not working very well during your stay. Sometimes the wifi can be spotty in the mountains. We have asked all guests not to use firepits this summer (regardless if they are gas or not). The fire risk is just too high, as you can probably understand. It is also unfortunate the hear the the construction next door started early. This is a factor that is out of our control, however, we are sorry to hear that it effected your stay. We would love to host you again and help you find another property that better fits your needs.

Pristine Home - Better than expected!

We were late to renting a home this year, because we weren’t sure what COVID would do. We found this cabin amidst just a couple selections and were super excited to have found such a gem! When we arrived, not only were we blown away by how clean it was, as well as how smartly it was furnished, but the kitchen stole the show! It is legitimately a professional kitchen. The stove is unbelievable, the knives and pans are top notch. We usually do a lot of restaurant hopping while in Tahoe, but not this time! We cooked more than we ate out! The bedrooms are so comfortable, the mattresses essentially envelop you. There are plenty of pillows and blankets to spare. We cannot say enough about this place other than we feel so lucky to have found it. It is definitely on our go-to list the next time we come - if it’s free! The host company was very easy to contact when questions or issues arose, and they were very quick to respond.

Lovely home, lots of space

Set at the top of the Northwoods loop, but still only about 10 minutes from Donner Pass Rd., this is a well maintained luxury home with somewhat limited capacity in view of the amount of space. We appreciated the 2 king beds, although the one in the master bedroom had an uncomfortably squishy foam topper. Kitchen is well equipped but not stocked; BYO staples. Loved having the hot tub (out the back door of the garage in a covered area so it doesn't get snowed on). The towel supply was stingy--1 per person for our party of 5, + 1 extra. No hot tub towels, no hand towels, 1 washcloth for the house (!) and only 1 kitchen towel. Driveway is somewhat up-sloping and the plowing that had been done left an icy layer making it a little challenging to maneuver carefully into the narrow garage doors. Would stay here again but request more towels.

Stay at Hawk's Peak in Tahoe Donner

The house was amazing with all of the extra amenities that made it even better. Cleanliness was impeccable and very much appreciated, especially with the current COVID implications. The kitchen was well-equipped, beds were comfortable, fireplace in the family room made the cold night cozy. The back deck was private with a fire pit (which unfortunately we could not use due to fire season) along with a hot tub. My 2 daughters and I enjoyed the time away and will definitely be back!!

Place was great

Check in and out was simple. The place was beautiful. Would definitely stay again and will. My ONLY suggestion would be to have someone come and knock down the spider webs outside - Front staircase, back patio, ceiling fans and fire pit area. Beautiful home with all the amenities we needed and then some. Thank you.

Tahoe Donner Cabin walkable to slopes

Great location for skiing at Tahoe Donner. The cabin is completely updated with a genuine Tahoe theme & feel. This cabin perfect for 2 families with kids. Super clean with all the necessities provided, really comfy beds, and a hot tub to relax in after hitting the slopes. Still a lot of snow in the Tahoe Donner area which limited the use of the decks this trip, but would be amazing for a summer time vacation.

Cozy Cabin and Great Location

We have three small kids so the convenience of being able to walk to the TD Downhill was awesome. House kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities and was clean. Overall I would definitely return. Also loved the option of late checkout. Super easy.

Wonderful stay, wonderful home

This home is great - wonderfully designed, perfectly clean, and overall a great space for a family stay. We visited during Thanksgiving week and had a great time with our family of four. The home is set up for a larger group if needed, and the very large (and nicely appointed) kitchen would be great for larger group dinners, especially for groups that really like to cook. We would gladly stay here again, especially during ski season as it's very close to many of the TD amenities that are open during normal times.

amazing month at Hawk's Peak in Tahoe

We had a wonderful month at Hawk's Peak house. The house is incredibly well designed, very comfortable, every detail is thought through - very clean, very modern, wonderfully laid out and just perfect. Location can not be beat. It felt like a perfect home rather than a rental. The outdoor space is incredible and very special for Tahoe - with coy creek and beautifully landscaped backyard. AC was a great addition during the hot days when my husband had to work from the house. There is a generator plugged into the gas line - one evening when there was power outage in entire Tahoe Donner, our house was the only one with the lights lit! Cynthia at Tahoe Getaways has worked with us on finding the house to lease in early spring and we are very grateful to her and the owners for making it happen. Special thanks to the owners for being very generous and allowing us to shift the dates after the lease was already executed. Thank you for turning pandemic summer with cancelled travel plans into one of the most enjoyable summers we have had! We can not wait to make another visit to Hawk's Peak.
