About this property

Suncrest House near beautiful Trinity Alps Wilderness Area

Located on the sloping hillside across the street from the Strawhouse Cafe', this yellow house will greet you with a warming glow as you enter in. At almost 1,100 square footage, two bedrooms (a queen bed in each), two bathrooms, heating/ac, a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and very spacious living and dining room areas, you have plenty of room to enjoy each other's company. Meander down to the Trinity River on the Strawhouse Cafe' side or enjoy the garden and mountain views from your living room (please note: you are not on the river side - you are on the park side of the resort). Although it is attached to Creekside Cottage (booked separately), it does not share any inside spaces but does share the undercover porch and patio areas. It's perfect for families who want to be close to each other but not in the same space. It is one of two of our pet-friendly accommodations (the other being Creekside Cottage). Must notify Strawhouse prior to arrival if bringing a pet. Pet must be well-behaved and non-destructive. Absolutely no pets with fleas are allowed. Although we love animals, pets are not allowed down by the river's edge on the Strawhouse side of the property out of respect for other guests (there are other local river access areas - please ask about them!), and there is a very spacious and beautiful lawn area on our park side that they are free to enjoy, and lots of beautiful hiking areas nearby! We do ask that you pick up after your pet. Things to experience include: hiking, fishing, white water rafting, bird watching, mountain biking, relaxing, local art, and so much more!

Peaceful River Resort

Spent 10 days at their Suncrest property on a hill overlooking Shasta Trinity park and a short walk from river and cafe. House was clean and comfortable but who wants to spend time inside when you could be by the river, hiking, rafting or just watching birds. The food is A+. Don’t miss wood fire pizza or a family dinner cooked by the talented Don. Julia and Don are amazing hosts. We would love to do it all again. Soon.

Beautiful property

We had a great time during our stay, the house was clean and comfortable, and very well maintained. The house sits on a large piece of property with a hiking trail out back, and a river across the street. Beautiful views, quiet, and little to no phone signal for much needed R&R.
