Located in the heart of downtown Savannah, Southern Market is your updated, spacious alternative to the typical historic home. Guests will enjoy walking just a few steps to Savannah's best attractions, dining, and shopping!

Enter off Montgomery and up the full flight of stairs to your modern loft amongst the oak trees. A daybed can be found in the hall, leading to your coastal-cozy living space. There's plenty of comfortably seating for everyone to catch up and unwind after a long day of exploring. Just off of the living room, you'll find a spacious kitchen with every appliance needed for cooking a full meal. Choose to dine at the breakfast nook, or enjoy a meal al fresco on the private balcony overlooking downtown.

All three bedrooms are also on this level, with the first being the master with King size bed. Enjoy large closets, flat screen TVs, and en suite baths in every room. The primary bedroom is especially spacious and boasts beautiful views of downtown. The full bath is en suite with Jack and Jill doors to the hall. A daybed is also available in the main hall to allow guests more space.

The second bedroom has a Queen size bed. The en suite bath has a tub/shower combination. Down the hall you'll find the final bedroom with a twin and trundle bed. This room is loft-like as a short stairwell leads guests to the laundry room. The twin and trundle bed is connected to a full bath with a tub/shower combination.

Southern Market is right on Montgomery Street, which leads North to city attractions such as Ellis Square at City Market, Broughton Street, and of course River Street. Some of the city's most sought-after restaurants and bars are only a short walking distance away. This home is ideal for those who want a quiet respite without being too far from all the action!

Great for Families

This property in the south historic district can accommodate larger families. It’s within easy walking distance to many popular attractions. Communication with the property manager (Lucky Savannah) was excellent. We would definitely stay here again

Great family weekend away

It was my birthday weekend and was spent with my boyfriend and our kids. We made some great memories and can’t wait to visit again! The place was so adorable, clean, and functional.

Weekend wedding getaway with friends.

Visited Savannah for our friend’s son’s wedding. This centralized location provided us with the opportunity to explore Historic Downtown Savannah (most everything was walking distance) and still be close to the wedding venue. Enjoyed our stay!

Great quiet location

This was a great stay for our friends’ trip. The property was clean and conveniently located on a quiet street at the edge of the historic district. Host was responsive and helpful. Everything ran smoothly. We would love to stay here again.

Beautiful loft within walking distance to everything!

The loft was so beautiful, spacious and clean There was plenty of room for all 7 of us - we are a group of longtime girlfriends celebrating milestone birthdays! The outside porch was nice to have morning coffee, or a glass of wine in the evening. We could walk for brunch, shops, tours, dinner, it was wonderful! We all would highly recommend to other friends or family traveling to Savannah!

Great cute location, very spacious

We loved our stay here. We walked everywhere! It’s about a 20 min walk from River street. Never felt unsafe about the area. Very spacious and 3 bathrooms is a huge plus for bigger groups! If you’re sensitive to noise, be aware that the exit ramp from the interstate is right behind it so can be noisy at times but wasn’t a huge issue for us. There’s no assigned parking but there was plenty of street parking available. Would stay here again!

Loved it!

This is a wonderful property. Rooms are beautifully appointed and decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed. Extremely convenient location. Very walkable to the historic district restaurants and sites. We never had trouble finding a parking space within a few feet of the front door. Our group was four older women. We enjoyed the comfy couches as we all settled in for winter night's reading. It was incredibly clean. We would be happy staying here again. Thank you!

Sister & Niece Trip

We enjoyed the area, the sites & the food! The unit itself seemed like the floors had not been moped/cleaned before our arrival. Limited supply of paper products considering we had six guests staying five days. That said, we did come across Lucky Savannah's office & was able to have extra supplies dropped off at our location. Office staff was very nice & accommodating. Very nice place to stay & I would definitely recommend this unit & area.

Cousins retreat

Unable to decipher TV controls easily. Dryer did not seem to work. Wine glasses were not clean and there were no bowls or serving dishes. Would have enjoyed fresh air more if only access was not balcony door. Otherwise everything perfect.

Disappointing

This property was just okay. One of the showers didn’t work, and 2 of the 4 tvs didn’t work. The master bath was lacking major in storage. A pedal stool sink with no countertop to hold toiletries was problematic when traveling with a group of girls. On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were seven ladies, from Ohio, on a 60th birthday trip for three of us. The house was in a great location. Usually a 15 to 20 minute walk to most of our destinations. But if walking is an issue, Uber’s were readily available to take us where we needed to go. The house was clean, cool and comfortable. It was on the second floor and there was some steps to get to it so keep that in mind when renting. The beds were very comfortable The bathrooms could have used more hooks for items you bring or just for your towels. There needed to be instructions on how to use the dryer. We were not aware of water being collected into a container and needed to be emptied. The couch in the living room is a pullout bed, not the most comfortable.

The pros of the location are that we loved being so close to historical district. We could walk to so many places, and it was so nice to have all of us in one place instead of separate hotel rooms. Unfortunately, the cons of the location are that it located right next to the highway offramp, and we heard traffic ALL NIGHT LONG. Especially if you were sleeping in the back bedroom. And apparently, people in Savannah are on the highway 24 hours a day. The place was beautiful, but my husband and I did not sleep well there. They should try to soundproof it somehow.

Wonderful stay!

Beautifully decorated and every room was comfortable. Nice central location on a generally quiet part of the street (hard to find, I know, as I’ve lived in Savannah before…). I biked or walked everywhere I wanted to go from river street to Forsyth. The apartment is on the second floor, so something to keep in mind for people who struggle with stairs, but it lent to some lovely porch views. The AC was not working properly when we arrived, but the company answered right away on a late Saturday afternoon, and got someone out immediately who didn’t leave until he was sure it was working. Note to owners/management— may not want to keep the unit off when it is unoccupied in summer months. Numerous drawers and cabinets where stuck shut from material melting together, and it was quite hot trying to unload baggage. Overall we had an amazing time, and were so comfortable in the space!

After maintenance came thru the issue was not going to be resolved so we quickly had to move to a new location. While inconvenient, Lucky Savannah moved us quickly and were attentive to answer messages.The beds were comfy, the rooms were clean, good location. The highway didn't bother us. With working AC I'm sure this place is great. Unfortunately we did see/had to deal with a couple roaches before our departure.

Reviewer Comments: We were very pleased with the home's location and cleanliness upon arrival; however, on the first morning we left the home at around 11 am and when we returned at 4 pm we discovered thousands of small dead bugs on our kitchen floor. We suspect they were termites. They were scattered over the floors, on one desk surface, in bags, near doors and windows, near the trash—everywhere. This required Lucky Savannah's cleaning crew and ultimately a move to a different Airbnb. Thankfully we had not gone onto the wooden balcony but we do wonder if it's safe due to the obvious termite issue.

Parking was on street, free. We had 2 cars and did not have an issue with parking at all. The interstate is right next to the house. It did not bother us but if you are a light sleeper, I can see how this would be a big problem. My one complaint was that there were not basic cooking items left in the cabinet to use. Salt, pepper, oil. There were not even extra trash bags. We had to buy all of that. Please leave simple cooking items like that so it does not have to be purchased and thrown out every time.
