Oakwood near downtown with Nespresso, Bikes & Bidet.
This Studio is a pretty new space on the 1st floor of our townhouse. It has it's own private entrance which will only be used by our guests. Colette and I love to travel and the over-all bedding comfort is at the top of our list. We got turned onto Cozy Earth bedding, which offers the most comfortable sleeping experience that we have found. The pillows are cozy earth as well. The Studio has lots of lights and most are on dimmers and we also have 9' ceilings. The Studio has a patio looking out onto a landscaped courtyard with comfortable chairs and a over-head fan and mood lighting to help you enjoy happy or whatever hours. The studio has a full kitchenette including micro, fridge, toaster oven, filtered water, and also a Nespresso maker with fresh cream and an assortment of teas. We also have 2-bikes that we will loan to our guests so you can enjoy the North Person Street Corridor and downtown Raleigh, which is less than a mile away. We are 2-blocks from the free R-LINE bus which cycles thru every 15 minutes from 7 am to 11 pm and takes you thru downtown Raleigh and back. The city also has Lime bikes and Gotcha electric scooters. You can pick up an Uber or Lyft usually with less than a 5-minute wait.
This unit has a 55' Smart Roku TV with a Samsung sound bar complete with subwoofer. We provide the major channels, like Netflix, Starz, Showtime, HBO, Amazon Prime, and too many more. The Pandora and YouTube are with out commercials. Access Google to find what stations are offered thru Spectrum. For example, Showtime is channel 550 in the guide. NFL is 310 and 13.
We often find that people leave early, if that is the case and you would like to get in early, say 10:ish or so, we will work with you.
We have had a few other VRBO units over the years and had the distinction of being the No. 1 rated short-term rental properties out of 466 in this area in the past. We also have 2 other properties currently being offered thru the VRBO site. Looking at these other properties, you should be able to get the flavor of what you might experience from our hosting style while staying at our "New Downtown Studio".
"Service animals" that are hypo-allergenic and smaller than 15 lbs. are OK, but no cats, I have an allergy to most dogs, i.e, German Shepherds, Retreivers, Labs, so those types of dogs are not allowed in our properties. Because of my allergies, I am exempt to the service dog rule that says anybody with a service animal can bring their pets into a property. I have covered this with VRBO and they have granted me a pass because of this affliction.
All eligible people, from everywhere are welcome in our property.

Beautifully situated in the heart of Raleigh, this spot offers easy walking access to great restaurants, parks, and charming historic homes. The space itself is warm and cozy, perfect for a comfortable stay. The host was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to recommend great local dining options. An added bonus: bikes are available, making it effortless to explore the city on two wheels.
The location is fabulous. Walkable to lovely historic residential neighborhood and downtown. The place was immaculately clean and well organized for a studio space! Host was available to answer any questions and eager to recommend local places to visit.
If you are traveling with 1 or 2 people to Raleigh this is hands down the place to stay. The location is perfect for everything downtown and the nearby restaurants are excellent. This place has everything anyone would need
Very cozy and well-equipped unit. The host really thought of everything from tons of lighting options to access to power to a bidet and nice shower. Location is also great, being an easy walk to downtown venues as well as the restaurant/retail district on N Person street. One of the better places I've rented. Would stay again!
This is a great location if you’re doing anything in downtown, but also want to be in a quiet area at night. The studio is super clean, there are so many little amenities throughout the space. Would absolutely consider staying here again during future Raleigh visits.
The efficiency unit is thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a 2 night stay. Location was great, quiet setting and lots of restaurants within a few minutes walk. Convenient free street parking. Host was onsite, very responsive and gave suggestions and info about the area.
Was in town for QuiltCon with my aunt--the property was the perfect distance from the Convention Center. We enjoyed the walk it gave us and a chance to explore local businesses and restaurants!
My husband and I were in town for my daughter and now son in laws wedding. The apartment is in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. It was gorgeous inside and extremely comfortable!Anything you need in downtown Raleigh is walkable and easily drivable in minutes. Stop scrolling and book!!
This was the perfect, cutest little getaway centrally located to so many options downtown. The hosts little extra touches made this trip a wonderful experience! We highly, highly recommend staying here and should the opportunity present itself, we’d love to stay again!

Colette and I have been doing this for 5-years and have had over 3000 travelers pass thru our 5 various editions and have had the Super-host/Premier host status from day one. We always wanted to have some sort of a B&B and we got our wish when this short term rental business model came upon the scene. We hope you will drop in so we can get a chance to meet you. tom and colette
Why they chose this property
We moved back to this area of Raleigh three years ago from our former home in North Raleigh. We love the North Person Street corridor, Historic Oakwood, and being so close to downtown. There's always something to do and you can walk to many restaurants and attractions. This is a vibrant area of Raleigh with some of the best restaurants in the area within walking distance. Check out Stanbury, Crawford and Son, Oakwood Pizza Box, The Station, and Gringo A Go Go.
What makes this property unique
Just close enough to downtown, yet not too close. We are on the person Street corridor which has several bars and unique restaurants, a pharmacy, ice cream place and also a Krispy kreme, can't get better than that.
