Beach vacay

Thw location and size of home are perfect. The housw needs a lot of TLC and a deep deep cleaning and several things that need eepairs or to be replaced! Needs more dishes !

This place was nasty ( mold in the vents , something was blown up in the microwave and the bedding had stains on them and there was crumbs in the beds, mold also in the refrigerator and dishwasher , the refrigerator was leaking .

Great location location / poor cleaning job

Not sure if this is their standard cleaning job or someone’s not doing their job, I know it’s the beach, but there was sand all through the house even in the beds. The showers were pretty disgusting with the. Mildew around the bottom of the glass doors, which tells me hasn’t been cleaned in a while. Like I said great location, but to me, the house is not being clean very well between guest. Not trying to bash anyone, but just being honest about it. The house is very roomy and you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other. I would stay again in the future if the house cleaning was a little better.

House was in terrible condition. Microwave and oven were unusable and we had planned to cook for the week. Not sure about bedbugs, 4 grandchildren were bitten by something. Kitchen utensils were disgusting, dirty, rusted- just not what was promised.Will never use VRBO again for a booking. Contacted the host several times with no response. Disappointing!

Filthy home

Home was super dirty. Very outdated. Bathroom downstairs has a major leak in the ceiling, ceiling pieces continued to fall while I was in the shower. Looks like a possibility of mold in various areas of the home. Attempted to contact the homeowner with no response. Only positive was we were close to the beach and Ocean Lakes amenities.

Halloweekend

This was our first visit for a Halloweekend in Ocean Lakes and We Can’t Wait to Come Back Next Year! Ocean Lakes helped us make unforgettable memories. This house was nice and a perfect fit for our blended family but the linens were late with no ETA given from the property manager (didn’t arrive until 3-4 hours after check in) and then we were missing a set of linens for one of the beds. When I inquired about the missing set I didn’t get a response until the following day when I followed up again. I had to then sleep in a bed with no linens the first evening there. I understand mistakes happen but in my opinion linens and cleanliness of a house is the most important especially if you are charging for a linen fee. The communication with one of the property managers just seemed to be lacking and the issue at hand just didn’t seem to be important to them. We will absolutely be back to Ocean Lakes but will not book this house again.

House was ok with some issues

MB 1097- after reporting these issues we were told that the rooms were just painted. Generally the house was functional for all 11 of us, but we didn’t expect these issues. - Only one of the 6 TVs were connected and working. The 5 bedroom TVs were disconnected and cables lying on a dresser or in a dresser drawer. Eventually they were all connected. - One of the bedroom smoke detectors was removed - One of the bedroom smoke detectors had the battery door open with no battery installed - Floors were dirty. Our feet were dirty after initially walking through house barefoot. - 4 of the wall plates were missing. 2 on switches and 2 on outlets. Found wall plates in kitchen drawer and bedroom drawers, we installed them ourselves. - Bedroom air vents were closed. Rooms were warm so we opened one with owners help. We opened the others ourselves. - Left sofa footrest did not work.

Great Family House

We had all ages for our family vacation and the house fit our needs completely! Megan answered anytime we needed something. The house got us all great! We will definitely be back!!

Amazing Stay

My family stayed the weekend and everything was absolutely amazing. And when I need to message the property manger they were quick to respond. I’d recommend this property to anyone.

Inside the home

The floors needed to be mopped, the bathrooms were half way cleaned, & the entire stay we had no cable or WiFi. The complimentary golf cart had flat tires.

Dissatisfied for 50th Anniversary Stay

This was to be a quick family getaway to celebrate my parents 50th as they absolutely love Ocean Lakes and always wanted to stay close to the beach. However, the house leaves a lot to be desired. See issues below: 1) house was not clean. Dishes were dirty and hair in the first floor shower. Live roach found in upstairs bedroom. 2) TVs in 2 of the upstairs back bedrooms did not work. 3) dishwasher smelled like sewage. No water was getting to it when running. Could not use. 4) pillows were very dirty 5) porch screen was torn 6) glass coffee table in the living room was broken 7) There was mold and mildew in the washing machine We have rented a lot from VRBO and unfortunately this is by far the most disappointing stay. I’m really not sure why we paid such a high cleaning fee when it obviously is not going to good use. I hope this review will ensure these items get corrected for future guests.

Broken Items

Already provided this information to the person handling the rental. On the deck, one chair was broken (could not sit in) and the umbrella was broken. The screen of one of the sliding glass doors had 3 holes (one very large). A closest in one of the bedrooms was broken. We used the dishwasher one time and it leaked so had to had wash and mop the floor.

Family trip

Enjoyed the trip with family. House was walking distance from beach. The house needs a little TLC. Wish it had a larger deck to enjoy the outside together but space between houses is very close. The owner should spend a weekend in the house then they would see the updates needed.

A great place to spend your vacation

This place was great and very accommodating. We had 8 adults and 2 children with room to move! The access to the beach was within steps! The amenities were also outstanding. A great place to spend your vacation
