Better than a hotel, great area and owner
We were in France 2 weeks. We stayed in 3 hotels with a tour and rented this property when we stayed over for 4 nights. After 10 days in hotel rooms so small we had to put suitcases under the bed to be able to get to the bathroom, we really enjoyed the spacious of this unit. The view of the Eiffel from the 9th floor over other building was well enjoyed, especially when it lit up. You can see quite a bit of Paris. This large unit has a shower bath and separated water closet w sink, and a large walk-in closet. Basically a studio unit, the main area has the bed, couch, flat screen, eating area and full kitchen. It includes a DW, washer/dryer, 4 burner induction range, microwave/convection oven and an espresso/coffee unit plus full size refig/freezer. Since I have some food allergy issues I really appreciated the ability to have safe food and an American breakfast! Additional amenities include a fan, AIR CONDITIONING, and remote controlled blackout blinds, and a nice balcony. The owner- Sylvain- lives next door. Rather than being awkward, he is respectful and a great resource of information and is eager to provide it. He also helped me salvage a large suitcase that came apart and needed a very hard to find type of screwdriver to fix. Saved me from an expensive purchase in Paris. He has installed many upgrades like motion lights and audio video equipment if you like DVDs. He also allows you to use his Netflix account. The building has two elevators or lifts and they are larger than some hotels we used. The area is safe and clean and Metros are close, as are grocery and pharmacy. You are just across the river from the Eiffel so close to all the good stuff. A few Metro stops or cheap Uber puts you at all major museums. Also, Syl has a maid come in and so you do not have to spend hours cleaning like some vacation rentals. Helps on get-away day. Highly recommend this property.
