• POOL HEAT:

Heating is available for $35 per day (plus tax) with a 5-day minimum and must be requested at least 48 hours in advance. Please note the attached spa is not a hot tub—it does not have jets, and it heats to the same temperature as the pool, not exceeding 90°F. The heating system uses heat exchange, which does not operate in temperatures below 50°F. No refunds will be provided if the pool does not reach the desired temperature in cold weather.



• GRILL:

Please note. Some of our homes may be pictured with a gas bbq grill or outdoor built in grill. If guests wish to use the grills, it is the guest's responsibility to clean the grill and replenish the propane tank if needed. A $50 charge will be applied if grills are left unclean. Exchange refill propane tanks can be purchased at numerous local locations. If the grill is locked up, then it is not to be used by guests as it is the homeowner's personal grill. If you would like to have a grill for your vacation, we can arrange a rental grill for your stay.

Overall good.

Place was perfect for our big group coming to town. There were some minor things broke or missing. 1 pool stick broken and most tips missing. Refrigerator door was broken to where you had to manually flip it when closing to make the door seal up correctly. But overall we had no complaints about our stay. Would stay at this location again.

Bed Bugs

There are bed bugs in the Master king bedroom (1st Floor left bedroom). I have called the number provided for issues and requesting someone come out to treat the bed/room etc however no one ever came. We slept in the bed for a couple of hours after traveling and was unable to sleep in that particular bed since Thursday night. An email was sent as well in which I have attached photos to for proof.

Do Not Stay with this Host

The property was not as described. The game room did not have one functioning game. Accessibility was a nightmare. Communication with host was unproductive. Maintenance stated a dishwasher that needed parts was functioning properly. It is in a gated community. They will give you a qr code after you call in. However the reader doesn’t work. You have to wait for security to respond. We had waits of 30 minutes.

This was the first and worst experience.. when arriving the house front door was dirty full of webs… barcode to get in to the community didn’t work security had to come open for all my guest it was horrible …. House had dirty walls … rust in refrigerator… stained couch.. and it came apart every time we sat on it … disgusting pots .. had to buy my own because of the loose Teflon and scuffs in pots was afraid was going to come off when serving the food out of it … curtain to on slidding door was broken and missing parts on it .. picture online showed basketball game in side play room and wasn’t even there .. couldn’t use the fuze ball cuz the balls didn’t belong to to the game .. ice hockey game didn’t work was not functional.. carpets smelled House is very worn out … outlets in most of the house in bathrooms did not work had to walk around to find ones that worked in order to blow dry our hair …. Table in entertainment room was broken …slanted chairs broken and in a closet …. No ceiling fans … this was the worst experience… I will never rent in this community again … at night the people in the other homes across from this one making noise until 3 am and yelling outside and making noise with their cars skidding … I will never ever use this community again …. Couch in downstairs living room was held up on one side with a wouldn’t piece cuz it’s got a broken leg … I mean the worst experience ever ..

UGH!!!!

We checked in Wednesday. The outside was nice, but across the way trash was piled up. There was no security at the gate, the gate to get in was open daily, so people could come and go as they wanted. The house isn't near the amenities the community itself has to offer. You have to drive there or take that long walk. The refrigerator wasn't working, it wouldn't cool our food or keep food frozen. One of the bins was broken, it was leaking water and rust was on the refrigerator wall as well as the fridge. You are only given two towels per bathroom and no wash clothes were available we had to buy our own. One toilet paper roll per bathroom and only one trash bag the entire stay. There was no basketball goal, the air hockey table didn't work, one of the pool table poles was broken, no projector, it looked like it was taken down and they just placed a TV there. The blinds to the pool/patio were broken and missing pieces. We found socks from another stay in the bedrooms, there were blood spots on the master bedroom sheets. The dryer wouldn't dry. The internet was a hot mess. To top this off there were bedbugs!!!! My husband's arms were bit up. I even have video of one crawling on the curtains. They did come put to fix the refrigerator but it started working the next day we were leaving. The bedbugs don't even get me started, that was the last straw for me. Just know I won't rent from this company again or stay at this home again!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Let me start by saying, I wouldn’t rent with this company if it were the only place in the world I could stay! First and foremost, My family and I rented this home back in 2020 when it was a brand new listing .. however, COVID happened and we had to rebook, fast forward to 2022 when our booking happened we noticed the reviews for this home were HORRIBLE. I immediately reached out to the property manager and mentioned my concerns, we were then assured that all of the issues we noticed would be rectified prior to our stay and to send over our concerns to the reservations team and they’ll make sure everything is taken care of. I did this (back in July is when I first called) , I reminded them via email again on August 6th (our reservations were to start on August 13th) with another detailed list and reminder that we were coming that following week. We were also told by the property team via telephone that if the accommodations weren’t met they would then place us into another home to accommodate us for our stay. We check in at 4pm and not even 30 minutes into being in the home, I’m calling them because of all of the MANY horrible issues we were experiencing. Of course, the office closed at 4pm (how convenient right?) so, I had to contact the emergency line and of course no one answered nor did they call me back. I immediately contact Vrbo and send them the MANY horrible pictures we have and they are shocked at how the home came and disgusted at the reviews and they said they would be contacting the support team to get this home removed as a listing. (That’s how horrible it was) Issues; We were in a home that had no electricity in one room the entire stay, no wifi for 3 days, roaches, broken beds, a completely wet bed / bedding upon arrival, broken toilet seats, food in the pool, broken stair railings where we had to catch my 2 year old niece from almost falling through, 4 times now (an extreme safety hazard), the game room that’s the “big attraction” in the home has no working equipment (ie. missing pool cues, air hockey machine doesn’t work, the basketball game is completely missing, etc.), we had to go and buy laundry detergent and wash ALL of the bedding as the bedding and towels had stains all over them (everyone of them, as if they weren’t even washed at all) , the towels had hair on them and were thrown in the closet, not to mention their tax collector signage they have in the home is EXPIRED since 2020. ETC.

Nice Home

This was a nice home for my family vacation everyone really enjoyed there stay there were small things that took away from my overall experience there were door knobs missing the freezer handle was off on one side and loosen the basketball court wasn’t in the game room pool balls were missing from the pool table we were without WiFi for 24hrs had to keep contacting maintenance for someone to come clean the pool which took days for someone to come out but other than that it was comfortable

Many issues and little response from resort

Many things broken on the property such as beds, toilet paper holders, door handles. Many TVs in bedrooms unusable due to cords and box's missing, game room also pretty much unusable with broken pool cues, missing pool balls, garbage and candy in pool table, basketball game pictured on site missing. Theater area also unusable due to missing cords and broken speakers. Only one towel and washcloth per bathroom for 19 people, so had to buy linen. Nothing to wash dishes so had to buy sponges and dish soap. So plan to buy everything to run a household when you arrive. Was never given information on gate pass when called number was told each person had to get a pass at the office..that didn't work anyway. Never given information on resort Waterpark area...once we found it in another neighborhood across the street it was so packed it wasn't worth it, nor did it looked as pictured. Not recommended...unfortunate because it has potential, the size of the house was the only upside. Was asked to send pictures of issues when emailed resort of problems and asked for compensation with no response after pictures sent.

Poor upkeep

I couldn't have easily given this property a 5 if it weren't for the 3 out of 5 broken bar stools, 6 broken door knobs, basketball goal not on the wall, Broken light in the swimming pool and a few other small things. My overall experience was good.

First impressions: when I walked in I was fascinated by how nice the the house looked it was a beautiful setup. The game room had missing pieces such as the pool table one ball was missing the pool sticks were missing things. There was a basketball game set that was damaged sitting off in the corner and some of the verticals blinds were laying in the hall closet down stairs. Also dirty mops in a bucket. When I looked at the review In March it scared me at first saying that there were roaches but when I went I notice maybe two so I knew then that they had been handling the situation. Two knobs were missing off of the doors the stools were wobbling because of screws missing I mean that can happen anywhere as they did look like they were chairs you could possibly assemble yourself and maintenance was hard to get a hold of being it was a Holiday weekend. But over all beside a few Discrepancies everything was nice.

THE HOUSE WAS VERY NICE AND CLEAN AS ADVERTISED BUT IT WAS ALSO ROACH INFESTED.

EVERYTHING WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT IF I DIDN’T HAVE TO KILL ROACHES THE WHOLE TIME AND THE REFRIGERATOR WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY . ON TOP OF THAT THEY HAD NO OTHER HOUSE TO MOVE ME IN WITH A THEME ROOM FOR BOYS WHICH WAS THE MAIN REASON I PICKED THE ONE I WAS IN FOR MY SON 7th BIRTHDAY SURPRISE . THE MANAGER STILL HAVE NOT RETURNED ANY OF MY EMAILS

Would not stay at this property again!

We checked in Monday at 4pm. We noticed right away there didn’t seem to be any bath towels, but that wasn’t a huge deal (at that moment). However, when we went to get ready for bed after a full day of travel, we noticed every set of sheets in the house were dirty. Some sheets at bodily fluids (use your imagination), one bed had an earring and baggy left in the sheets, and most of the other beds just had hair and crumbs (I have pictures to prove all of this). We stayed up until 2:30/3am washing all the sheets and comforters. Upon opening up the dryer we noticed that EVERY towel in the house was shoved into the dryer. We started folding the towels and noticed one had quite a bit of the same bodily fluid the pair of sheets had on them. Obviously trying to wash/dry every towel in the house together does nothing. Woke up early the next morning to roaches! By this point I was super annoyed and reached out to management right away at opening time (9am). They assured me my issues would be taken seriously and asked me to send them pictures. I did this at 9:15am and proceeded to try and follow up with them the next few days. Finally Thursday they get back to me and apologize for the inconvenience. I’d say roaches is much more than an inconvenience (especially when you have to throw out hundreds of dollars worth of food). We also weren’t able to get the tv in the media room working until they fixed it Thursday as well (which was pointless, because at this point of our vaca we were now on to our off site activities). Overall just poor customer service and a filthy place.

Nice large house, basic, far from clubhouse

We had a nice time staying here. It’s our second time at story lake. This house has seen a lot of traffic. Carpet was very worn and walls were very banged up. Towels and kitchen were stocked fairly well. I had asked for 10 beach towels and only got four, I requested more twice and never heard back. We rented a grill through the Vrbo app and the host, and it was really junky. We dealt with it for the week. House was fairly clean, carpet and corners of bathrooms and such could’ve been better. we had a nice stay, it’s a large house decently equipped, just not as well kept or maintained as others. It’s way back on the outskirts of story lake, we ended up having a lot of rowdy neighbors playing loud music with very vulgar language. We haven’t had this before. That got old, but we can’t really plan around that.

Great Location and perfect pool

We loved our stay and hope to return next year. We highly recommend having the pool heat turned on. Our only complaint was that one of the toilets was not working. Even after calling the management and having someone come out it still did not work right.

Good family gathering

My extended family stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday and the house is larger enough to accommodate a large group. The bedrooms, baths, game room, and outdoor area allows for enough space for folks to spread out comfortably . The house was very clean, and with COVID that was plus. The houses are VERY close together, so be aware, there is absolutely no privacy when you sitting outside or in the pool and you can hear everyone’s conversations around you and they, yours. The location of the house is great for going to the parks or any shopping. It’s a good and a distance from the community pool, lazy man river, slides - and so you must drive, but it was a nice option to go to for a change of environment and the kids liked it. Just an FYI - you need to show a reservation confirmation with dates to get into the club area (we were not aware prior but was easy enough to produce on my phone). The reason I didn’t rate 5 stars - there was an extension cord that the refrigerator was plugged into and most of the outlets in the kitchen did not work. Certainly an electrical issue and one that should be fixed. In addition, and perhaps it was just bad luck - a number of the homes surrounding us (and remember you are all very close together) also had large family gatherings (it’s thanksgiving so this was to be expected) but the very loud music all day and night was not. Nothing the property or management company can do about that - but was bothersome.

mini vacay

our stay was great except for the exception the frig was not working when we arrived had us with an extension cord ran across the kitchen. One of the bathrooms had a clogged toilet on which we called to have repaired and no one ever came. We were pretty far from the community pool next time we will request a unit closer. all and all our stay was very relaxing the kids have lots of fun and we will stay again.

Exactly like the photos!

Great home for a stay near (but not in) Orlando. Quick 20-30 minute drive to the parks. Very convenient location to shops and restaurants. The location is a little far from the amenities of Storey Lake, but once we did drive over (yes, drive) the pool, lazy river and slides were just what the kids needed on an off day. I would definitely recommend this property. One downside was we did not ask for pool heat to be turned on prior to our arrival (as it takes 1-2 days to warm up). Which meant the pool was quite chilly day 1 and 2. Once I thoroughly read the email instructions, this was discovered, but should be something people are informed of when ordering, rather than buried in an email. Unfortunate experience was the bbq grill rental. While I understand the $ per stay is inexpensive, charge a little more and offer a better unit (the one we had was probably the cheapest offering at Home Depot). Plus, no grilling tools available. Charge a little more and provide.
