The best perks about this place are the location and the amenities. We got 245 of credit to use and we rented bikes with a trailer to bike to the beach every day. The beach is a 3 minute bike ride or probably a 10 minute walk and you’re 1 mile from Seaside. You also get to book a free round of golf through Xplorie at local courses that are anywhere from 100-230 for a tee time (we did this 3 times during our stay and it helped us save so much money). We were supposed to check in after Hurricane Isaias came through on a Friday, and the host was great about communicating the condition of the property and accessibility in the surrounding community, that was so helpful! That being said we delayed a few days and then came in on Sunday and they refunded us the nights we didn’t stay since there were evacuation orders in place. This place is an excellent bang for your buck! Only complaint was they really should update/touch up some details in the house (ex: ripped up rugs, pillows, furniture that’s falling apart) and then update their photos to reflect that. We rolled with the punches and this was in our budget so overall it was great!

Positives: good location. Good variety of kitchen amenities. Kids enjoyed the front porch. Negatives: no flooring in bedrooms. Poor walls, decor and general maintenance needs attention. Fitted sheet does not fit the second room bed. It’s a full size bed not queen, I think. Outdoor table in backyard should be thrown out. it’s completely rusted and peeling. Should have a full length mirror somewhere in the house. Needs drapes for bedroom windows to block the sun in mornings.

Pet friendly, easy in and out. The house is built on grade, so there’s not a ton of steps, which is nice especially if you have elderly folks or arthritic pets. Quiet location off of busy 30A. Short walk to the beach. Easy to bike around. Front porch is large and deep, this is an awesome rental for the money!! There was a new moon when we stayed, and the star gazing was amazing. We felt very, very safe and saw little kids running around.

The photos are old. We were very surprised upon entering the house. Doesn’t look anything like photos. It is dirty and dingy. The vents are covered in mold. The return vent is filthy too. There is thick dust and spiderwebs. The ceiling fans are covered. Including side table and kitchen lights. They don’t look as if they have been wiped down in a very long time. It seems there is mucus or something of the sort on a piece of furniture. Pillows on the couch are ripped and stained. The walls are even dirty. There is graffiti spray painted in the front bedroom. The lamp is torn up. You can’t use the table on the back porch without needing a tetanus shot. It’s rusted and falling apart. The hose is busted too. There is also leftover broken beach items left as well. At some point they “tried” to fix the ceiling cracks by putting some scotch tape on them. It’s still there. The kitchen faucet isn’t even attached to the sink! We did send a message thru Vrbo to management company with no response. The walk is not as close as described. If you are traveling with children or have trouble walking uphill, you will need a golf cart. We were told we could checkin at 4:00. When we showed up the “cleaner” was still here. I will give it one plus. The air conditioner works really well.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We are very sorry to hear that your stay did not meet expectations and, especially, that you encountered cleanliness and maintenance issues upon arrival. We understand how disappointing this must have been, particularly after traveling and expecting the home to be as represented in the listing. We take your concerns regarding the cleanliness, vents, furnishings, exterior items, faucet, and other maintenance issues very seriously. We also sincerely apologize that your message to management through Vrbo was not answered promptly. That is not the level of communication or care we strive to provide. We appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention so they can be addressed with the appropriate teams. We are glad to hear that the air conditioning was working well, but we recognize that this does not make up for the other concerns you experienced. Your feedback regarding the photos, accessibility, and check-in timing is also valuable, and we will review those details to ensure the listing accurately reflects the property and guests receive clear expectations before arrival. Thank you again for your honest feedback, and please accept our sincere apologies for the frustration and inconvenience during your stay.

Not terrible

This place is just OK. Lots of small issues that added up…….floors not cleaned thoroughly (glass on bedroom floor), front bed dips in center, both tvs did not work, limited supplies (like just one trash bag.), etc. Location was fabulous. The place needs some attention overall.

The home was filthy and all the outdoor furniture was rusty and unusable. Overall it was an awful.

This property needs so much work. Not only was the outside furniture not usable and dirty it was dangerous, the paint was all peeling and rusty and you could get cut on it. The barbecue was dirty and you couldn't use it. Inside none of the blinds worked and if you wanted any light you had to open each slat by hand, they were so caked with dust that your hands were black afterwards. The shower curtains were orange at the bottom due to the build up of scum. The carpet from the bedrooms had been removed and some paint had been slapped on the concrete. There was an inch drop from all the other floors in the home, this made it very dangerous. I actually fell and hurt my knees, I wasn't able to get around for a couple of days. All the furniture had throws on them and were all stained. The back yard had a dining table but again it was all rusty and hadn't been cleaned. The yard wasn't mowed until the night before we left, but there was no way to utilize the outdoor area anyway. When you rent you pay a cleaning fee and you expect that you are going to get a clean home. You end up paying as much as a five star hotel with all the extra fees and this in no way is worth that kind of expense. It is a rental agency ( Emerald Coast) that is renting this through VRBO so they know of all these problems so I will never rent from them again if this is there standard rental practice. We had saved to take this vacation before my husband was put on dialysis as he won't be able to travel freely anymore. It was a complete disappointment. I expected a clean and comfortable home to enjoy for our last vacation!! Shame on Emerald Coast management for what they are doing to travelers, I had even rented from them before so I wasn't concerned but never again. I will make sure that all our friends will be aware of their practices.

It’s ok

The master has No extra bedding. One fitted sheet, one flat sheet and a comforter that is a little thicker than the flat sheet. 2 extra pillows but no pillow cases. We had to use the couch sheets to cover up more. The guest room did have a small blanket that helped. The golf included is an hour to an hour and a half away. There’s 3 options for golf and 2 of the places had open tee times. And there’s a company that books your tee times for you. The regatta beach golf one was nice. No beach towels. Check out is at 10 which most places is 11. The girl definitely let me know that as we were pulling out!!! Has enough laundry detergent which is like I don’t even know what brand for 2 loads of laundry. Didn’t cook much there so don’t know about the kitchen situation. The beach rental credit was helpful. They dropped it off and came and got it. Def won’t stay here again because there is no one to contact if u need anything and also the way the girl acted when we were pulling out. I mean it was ok clean wise. When u pull up its like a trailer park and we were like oh boy. But the house is cute and the driveway is grass so it’s confusing. I didn’t know if we were supposed to park on the grass but there’s nowhere else to park. The walk to the beach isn’t too far but there’s no parking for a golf cart or a vehicle over there until about 3:30 or after. The beach rental credit thing was nice because the chairs had straps on them like a backpack. We got the wagon thing but that was hard to haul up and down the stairs. So it was easier for everyone to just carry something. For the price it was ok. There’s places similar in price that we’ve enjoyed more. U just have to book early enough. You’re too far from everything to walk. So rent a car or golf cart for sure.

Cute little bungalow

Stayed 5 days to enjoy some biking and sunshine. Super cute little home. Very clean and close to 30A. We really liked the privacy and safety. We were able to pull a enclosed trailer for our bicycles and there was plenty of room to park it. Mgmt was wonderful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay there again.
