Something about the within home cooking class:
Here are some informations about how a cooking class usually works: I arrive at 8:30 am to go shopping together at the fresh food market in S. Ambrogio (the market is open only in the morning), then we go immediately back to the apartment to cook for lunch. The cooking class last untill 12:30 - 1:00 pm. The cost of the cooking class is 250 euros (in total and not for each person) and at the market you buy the ingredients we need.
Usually the menu consists in three different dishes: an appetizer; a main course and a dessert.
I can suggest a typical Tuscan menu such as: Crostini di fegatini (crostini with chicken liver paté); Crespelle alla fiorentina (Spinach and Ricotta filled crepes); Tiramisù

My name is Claudia Morace. I am 70 years old, I have a daughter, she is a pianist and two sons lawyers as my husband was.I have also eight grandchildren.
I love taking personally care of my house and of my apartments in Florence.
I love flowers, nature, people and life
claudia Morace purchased this apartment in 2002
I had to sell a wonderful family property of 1880 in Austria.
I decided to buy an apartment in Florence.
I think than better than me some comments from the guest book will describe the apartments, and the reasons why my location is very special.
We finally arrived home late last Wednesday evening (actually at 2:00 am Thursday morning Canadian time) following a long day of travel. Our day was even longer when we discovered at Florence airport that we were one hour ahead since, we had no idea that the daylight saving time change had already occurred in Italy on Sunday! Consequently we were one hour ahead of the rest of Florence for our last three days! Daylight savings did not come into effect in Canada until this past weekend.
Once again we want to thank you for all of your help in making our Italian vacation most memorable. Your apartment was very comfortable and so well equipped it almost felt like home! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you, Arnaldo and your son Marco and also your American friends. Thank you also for the olive oil and the wine. We enjoyed the wine in Florence and will put the olive oil to good use here in Canada.

Claudia's apartment was perfect for 2 couples traveling from California. The apartment has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The best thing is location, location, location...few minutes walk from everything including train station. Claudia met us to go over all details, even provided some fruit & stocked refrigerator with few items for us. Highly recommend Claudia's apartments, we will be back.
If you want to experience the true charm of Florence then this apartment is for you. Centrally located and within easy walking distance of all the sites, this apartment offers a cosy respite from all the hustle and bustle of the city below it. During our recent European holiday, my family and I stayed for several nights here, and came away feeling truely lucky to have experienced Claudia's warmth and hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble. On arrival we were greeted by our host who explained the facilities and surrounding neighbourhood. We were also impressed to find cold bottled water a fruit basket and a gift of Claudia's award winning olive oil. Restaurant suggestions and reservations were made, including a trip to Sienna and Chianti, which became a day we will never forget. In all honesty I can't recommend this apartment highly enough and would suggest it to anyone wanting to experience the real Firenze.
Claudia grazie di tutto!
We loved returning to Florence for a second time Claudia was accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. The apartment is warm and cozy as well being in a part of the city where a 5-15 minute walk gets you to see the charm, history, and brilliance of Florence
Looking forward to our return trip to see Florence again
This apartment was the perfect location for our brief stay in Florence. VERY close to all, yet absolutely quiet and peaceful.
Claudia takes a personal interest in making sure everything is perfect for your stay. She is a great resource for restaurant recommendations as well.
We rented this wonderful apartment because we wanted to be within walking distance of the major attractions. The apartment worked very well for two couples and would be great for a family. It was very clean and comfortable. Claudia is wonderful - she had great recommendations for where to eat, the fridge was stocked with some welcoming snacks and goodies when we arrived. We also very much appreciated having the washing machine. One of the best added benefits of this apartment was that there was a local cell phone - taxis don't get hailed in Florence, you have to call for them or walk to a taxi stand - this saved time and feet both. Claudia was very friendly and the only thing will do different when we stay again is take her up on the opportunity to tour her family's farm - we had already packed our time with tours and such but we should have made time for that. One caveat for those traveling from the US - elevators or lifts are extremely rare in all the place we went in Tuscany and this is up several flights of stairs - but every place is and you quickly get used to it.
I can't say enough great things about this apartment and working with Claudia. She was wonderful to communicate with prior to our arrival and when we arrived, she met us at the apartment. The apartment was very clean and well cared for, and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the personal touch of the fresh fruit and olive oil, and she gave us helpful information to get around Florence.
The apartment was perfect for our family of 5, we could spread out and have some alone time if needed. The balcony was great and the air conditioning was appreciated. The location was perfect for us and made walking to all of the beautiful sites very easy.
I would highly recommend this apartment if you are traveling to Florence! It made a beautiful city even better!!
