Relais Borgo Pinti comprises two mansard roofed flats in the heart of Florence. List N° 165586 and list N° 92298.

The apartments are on the same floor, just across a small hall.

Pinti 2 (listing 165586, is 110 sq. meters and has accommodations for4/ 6 people.

Borgo Pinti is a quiet street partially closed to the traffic.

The Relais is located where Borgo Pinti crosses Via dei Pilastri and Via Alfani. It is a few minutes walk from all important sights and monuments, and some blocks from S.Ambrogio market and from the famous restaurants La Giostra and Il Cibreo.

The apartments are on the second and top floor. There is no elevator, but the climb is worth it. The steps are low and manageable.

Pinti 2 has two double bedrooms, 1 open loft with two twins, 1 wonderful bathroom with shower, another bathroom only with W.C. and sink. The kitchen is a separate room, spacious, fully equipped and has a dining table for six.

The two bedrooms have a queen size bed.

In the living room two comfortable white sofas and a fireplace.

There is a small, quiet and sunny patio where you can enjoy a drink.

Our chef Barbara says:

Something about the within home cooking class:

Here are some informations about how a cooking class usually works: I arrive at 8:30 am to go shopping together at the fresh food market in S. Ambrogio (the market is open only in the morning), then we go immediately back to the apartment to cook for lunch. The cooking class last untill 12:30 - 1:00 pm. The cost of the cooking class is 250 euros (in total and not for each person) and at the market you buy the ingredients we need.

Usually the menu consists in three different dishes: an appetizer; a main course and a dessert.

I can suggest a typical Tuscan menu such as: Crostini di fegatini (crostini with chicken liver paté); Crespelle alla fiorentina (Spinach and Ricotta filled crepes); Tiramisù

Keywords: Florence down town apartment, Duomo area, perfect location, luxury and comfortable and quiet, with listing 92298 more than 150 five stars review, great hospitality.

How to reach the apartments by car.

From the “A1” highway take the Firenze Sud exit. Follow the ramp all the way and cross the bridge on the Arno river; at the stop light at the bottom of the bridge, turn left and follow the directions for the Viali di Circonvallazione (the river should always be on your left!). Take the riverside avenue to the San Niccolò Bridge, exit to the left then turn right onto Viale Giovanni Amendola. Arriving at Piazza Beccaria – easily recognizable from the antique gate – continue straight to Piazza Donatello – with the cemetery in the center – and drive around that cemetery, following the signs for the ZTL (limited traffic zone) and the Santa Maria Nuova Hospital. Turn right at the first traffic light onto Via Alfieri, take the first right (Via Giusti); then take the first left (Borgo Pinti)

By Train

From the Santa Maria Novella station you can reach the apartments by taxi, it is a short ride about 10 euro (we don’t recommend proceeding on foot, especially with luggage; the distance requires at least 20 minutes walking) or by bus, with line 14 (for Il Girone or Ripa), departing from the station. Get off at Colonna 01 stop. From here head towards Borgo Pinti on foot. In just a few minutes you will reach the apartments.

The best is to take a taxi!!!

By Plane

The ‘Amerigo Vespucci’ airport of Florence is 8.5 km away. To get to the apartment use the taxi service; travel time is 30 minutes, and the cost averages between 30 and 35 Euro. From the airport the shuttle goes directly to the Santa Maria Novella Station; from there you can proceed to follow the instructions outlined in the section ‘By Train’.

About claudia Morace

My name is Claudia Morace. I am 73.

I have a daughter, she is a pianist and two sons lawyers as my husband was.I have also eight grandchildren.

I love taking personally care of my house and of my apartments in Florence.

I love flowers, nature, people and life.

claudia Morace purchased this apartment in 2002

Why claudia Morace chose Sant' Ambrogio

After my husband's death, I had to sell a beautiful family property dated 1800 in Austria.

It was too expensive for me to keep.

I have always been dreaming to live for a while in Florence and I decided to buy an apartment in the very heart of the city.

What makes this apartment unique

I think than better than me some comments from the guest book will describe the apartments, and the reasons why my location is very special.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Claudia,

We finally arrived home late last Wednesday evening (actually at 2:00 am Thursday morning Canadian time) following a long day of travel. Our day was even longer when we discovered at Florence airport that we were one hour ahead since, we had no idea that the daylight saving time change had already occurred in Italy on Sunday! Consequently we were one hour ahead of the rest of Florence for our last three days! Daylight savings did not come into effect in Canada until this past weekend.

Once again we want to thank you for all of your help in making our Italian vacation most memorable. Your apartment was very comfortable and so well equipped it almost felt like home! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you, Arnaldo and your son Marco and also your American friends. Thank you also for the olive oil and the wine. We enjoyed the wine in Florence and will put the olive oil to good use here in Canada.

Take care,

Robert and Sandra

Stay right in the heart of Florence!!!

VRBO Bear stayed here

I cannot say enough about how thoughtful our host, Claudia, and her staff were. When we arrived, we were greeted with a welcome basket of treats. We were greeted with other surprises as well, but I won’t give away all of their secrets. The layout of this apartment was more spacious than we had anticipated. It was decorated with festive, tasteful holiday fare (Christmas season), which was a nice touch. The apartment and each room seemed larger than the online pictures. The gem for us was the hidden, upstairs loft-style sunroom. We spent a lot of our down time there relaxing and talking about the day’s sights and adventures, as well as reading and doing some online activities. The loft was cozy, but still had plenty of space for us to relax and unwind. During our stay, our hosts loaned us a cell phone to use for local calls. A Europe converter plus was available for our electronics to charge, so we didn’t have to bring or purchase a converter. The wi-fi connection in the apartment was strong. The apartment is located exactly in the heart of everything that we wanted to experience in Florence. There is an excellent restaurant across the street, and a local mart literally right next door. This apartment was close to the shopping district, as well as several restaurants, bakeries, gelato shops and other eateries. Museums, water canals, and the awesome Il Duomo di Firenze were nearby, all within a 10-15 minute walk from the apartment. A low-fee credit union ATM was 3 minutes away, too, which was a huge value add for us. The train station was in walking distance, which allowed us to avoid taxi fees. All in all, we completely enjoyed this stay. Our hosts could not have been more helpful -thank you so much!

We loved every minute!

  • 5 of 5

I would not hesitate to recommend Claudia's apartment on Pinti Borgo. We stayed there for five nights in late September.

The location, quality and amenities were everything promised and more! We were a few hours late arriving due to a travel mishap and they waited for our arrival and showed us around the apartment and got us settled. There were even goodies in the fridge! The apartment is close to everything and we thoroughly enjoyed walking around Florence from our 'home base'. I cannot recommend this apartment enough and would gladly stay there if traveling to Firenze again.

The rooms were clean, well appointed and quiet at night. We enjoyed sitting on the little patio in the early evening. The kitchen is also well appointed and we enjoyed several meals at the kitchen table.

You also must indulge in Claudia's olive oil. So very wonderful. It's available for purchase and we bought some. Looking forward to sharing it with friends and family.

Owner's Response: Dear Stacey, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It is always a pleasure to have guests like you and your family. Thank you also for your note about my home made extra virgin oil. It is my passion. My only concern is that I was not able to meet you. Really so sorry but family problems kept me longer in Naples. I hope there will be another opportuny in the next future. I wish you all the best. Love Claudia

Excellent apartment in the heart of Florence, within walking distance of all the major sites

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is centrally located and one can easily walk to all the major sites. It's in a relatively quiet area in an otherwise busy tourist town so the nights and early mornings are peaceful. It is a cozy apartment with a Tuscan feel to get a full experience of Florence. We were five people ( Four adults and a child) and the space was ample enough; realizing that most of the day is spent outside at the various sites and museums . It is near many fine restaurants and there are several nearby small grocery stores. So overall for our stay of 5 days it was a perfect apartment from where to depart on our daily excursions.

Family Fun In Florence

  • 5 of 5

What an incredible experience !!! Our stay in Pinti 2 was awesome. The accomodations were perfect for our family.Close to all the fabulous history and culture Florence has to offer. From the start Claudia was available to answer questions, and even aided us in setting up tours and a driver for our departure. We especially loved the opportunity to meet Claudia and visit her family farm on our way south. A big thank you to Ketty, Claudia's Florence assistant who waited up late for us due to our cancelled flight and late arrival. She had even picked up a few groceries for us upon arrival, what a life saver !!! We are happy to recommend Claudia's beautiful apartments to our friends, family and all who search for the perfect place for your next adventure to the beautiful city of Florence !!!!
