It is a beautiful property, all the rooms were furnished to a high standard. The pool was excellent as it had access via a lockable gate so perfect perfect the small children. The garden was also self enclosed so we could relax knowing the children could not access the road. Pierre was so helpful and charming (especially on the first night when we managed to trip the electrics and he came over immediately to resolve it).
The area is fabulous too and perfect for a family holiday.

Thank you Rhiannon, it was a pleasure hosting you.
Thank you for taking care of the house.
Come back when you want ;)
We stayed in this lovely property for 9 days/nights during the European heatwave and greatly enjoyed both the house/it’s amenities, the immediate local area and exploring further afield across the stunning Dordogne.
The house is very well catered for all needs and it has a huge amount of space for larger parties - be it the many bedrooms or the large kitchen and very large lounge areas. It is located in a lovely, quiet area which was peaceful and relaxing, private and very comfortable - but within five minutes drive of the very pretty village of Tremolat and numerous other villages not much further away.
Pierre was an attentive and very friendly host - extremely quick on both pre-stay comms and during our time in the house. The local recommendations shared for bakeries, restaurants etc were spot on and very helpful indeed.
A highly recommended property and as regular family travelers, one of the very best homes we have stayed in.

Thank you very much Craig.
You were also a charming tenant and you really respected the place. It was a real pleasure to share with you this region that we love so much.
We arrived at Pierre's home to be welcomed and given an excellent guided tour of the property. It would be fair to say that we were impressed with the upkeep, quality of furnishings, and the fabulous swimming pool and 'pig sty' (the outside seating area with a hammock to relax in). We spent a fortnight exploring the local area, and thoroughly enjoyed returning each day to this wonderful base. Easily able to cater for two families, with two separate sleeping areas (one per family) whilst giving the opportunity to socialise in the large open plan kitchen/dining area. Our son was delighted with the PS4, and our daughter loved the vegetable patch which she took to watering daily and harvesting tomatoes and cucumbers as they ripened. We returned to London thoroughly rested, having spent many evenings watching the sunset over the pool area, with a sundowner or two! Thanks for a fabulous property to enjoy our holiday in.

Thank you, it was a pleasure to welcome your family.

Pierre's home was perfect for our vacation with two families of each two adults and two teenagers. It is beautifully set on the quiet slopes of the Cales village in the Dordogne valley. The house is in a very nicely renovated old building typical for the region. It is spacious, even for two families with teenage kids, and offers all amenities that we needed. The seating in the closed courtyard upfront was very nice for meals and relaxation; the large pool, huge garden, and table tennis/badminton area in the back were all we needed to keep us busy and very happy all week. Because of covid-19, we decided to only leave the property for groceries and it was just great for that, with lots of space, things to do, and privacy (we have been in the area before and know it offers many great towns, castles, and sport activities for better times as well). The owner (Pierre) was a perfect host (we had no problems, so did not have to call on him during our stay, but communication was swift and smooth before arrival and he was there when we came and went). We would be very happy to return to this house in the future!
Oubliez St Tropez, Ibiza, Paris!
