On reservations booked after 11/18/19, there will be a 10% tax added to your stay. This is a city tax. This will be charged, at the same time as propane use, within seven days of checkout date. This will occur as a separate charge, made by the host, after your stay.
Reservations booked after March 25, 2021: $35 propane charge per night added to the cost, if guests want to heat the pool. (If guests only want to heat the hot tub, this is not added.) This will be charged to the guests within seven days after check out.

This unique property is situated between a beautiful bohemian neighborhood and a stunning mountain view.
+Our neighbors are respectful, quiet and enjoy the peaceful evenings that our gorgeous desert has to offer. After nightfall, the neighborhood lowers the lights and stargazes!
+Bear Creek Canyon Trail: (Walking distance from home) is a 8.3 mile moderately trafficked out & back trail which features beautiful wild flowers & rated as 'difficult.'
+Old Town La Quinta: 2.5 miles: This area is quaint with high end eateries and coffee shops. Beauty, cafes and financial institutions are just a short drive or bike ride away.
+Old Town Coffee Company: 2.5 miles/7 minutes
+Approximately 12 minutes to Trader Joe's, Target, Movie theater, In and Out burger, AAA, fine dining and shopping.
+La Quinta Spa and Resort (Waldorf Astoria Hotel): 3 miles/7 minutes,

In August, the best time to be outside is the early morning or evening. If you want to hike or walk the bike path (in front of the house), the sunrise hikes are absolutely gorgeous & the temperature can be around 85-89 degrees. The evening temperatures are around 90-100 degrees and it's normal to be in the pool around 8-9pm!
This magical escape is in the mist of the La Quinta trails & night sky views. We just ask for your help in keeping the noise levels down after sunset. We usually find ourselves on the couch, after dinner, with the doors open! On the weekends, the timing is more relaxed. In our neighborhood, people tend to relax after dark and wake up early to go hiking and enjoy the pool.
Children: This house is kid-friendly, though it does have a pool and glass fire pit outside. When you book, you are 100% responsible for those people you bring on site. If you have a young child who cannot swim or cannot be around glass, this would not be the home for you. Feel free to ask me about options to make this stay safe and secure for your guests.
Smoking/Vaping/Cannabis: There are several areas, away from the home, that you can set up one of our patio chairs and table. But, we prefer keep the house and close proximity to the porch, smoke free.
Parties: Any group of people who plan on congregating with the intent of an event/party must ok 'in email' directly to us. We might have to make special arrangements for your group and we are happy to do so. If neighbors or police have to arrive at the property, you could be asked to leave immediately. To make sure this doesn't occur, just let us know your intention so we can help you!
