Welcome to Gaither House! Come and enjoy a stay at our beautiful historic home nestled in a peaceful and quiet neighbourhood with lovely 1840’s charm in the Manner of Greek Revival. It's a wonderful escape that can be enjoyed all year round!
The home has been lovingly maintained with lots of natural light giving it a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Recently the whole exterior of house was repainted and both bathrooms completely remodeled.

The space
Enjoy the pleasant and comfortable furnishings with original designer pieces, lighting and accents from vintage modern to antique with an array of beautiful wall artwork from artists throughout the USA. This Historic home’s features include hardwood floors, crown moldings, massive bay windows, front porch , and a private backyard. We are located two blocks from uptown Morganton with a beautiful uptown environment with restaurants, breweries, art galleries and weekend activities throughout the year.

We love this family owned historic home, and we hope you’ll love your unique experience as we bring this house into another century of life.

Our home has central heating and air-conditioning which make for an inviting environment year-round. With two spacious bedrooms with (1 king/1 queen size beds) featuring 12-14 foot ceilings and hardwood floors throughout with in-suite bathrooms making you feel right at home, our full use kitchen is equipped with all the appliances you’ll need during your stay to prepare meals with family or friends. Coffee and Tea are included for guests, crisp 5 star hotel bedding and towels, along with iron, ironing board, hair dryer, washer/dryer and WIFI broadband .

As you enter the main living room, you’ll find a comfortable place to sit and relax with an additional living room area with a sofa bed to enjoy at your leisure, There are two eating areas with a breakfast table as well as dining area adjacent to the main living room with a dining table accommodating seating for 8.

Enjoy the outdoors with a tranquil front porch and peaceful private backyard oasis with garden area and large backyard surrounding you with the beauty of nature. Take advantage of the outdoor ambiance and enjoy the fire pit and you’ll have everything you need to relax your mind and body.
