We had a wonderful stay! The kitchen and living room was perfect for a big group. We cooked a lot together and enjoyed having a Bluetooth speaker so we could play music. The views were breathtaking!

Amazing home in a beautiful gated community!

Victor, the house manager was extremely helpful. He met us at car ferry and took us to the house. He gave us a tour and clear instructions. The house was well stocked with towels, cooking supplies, beach supplies including chairs, snorkel gear, ice chest, ect.The home was very clean and had wifi that worked well. All the ac units worked great. The pool was clean. There was a washer and dryer which was super convenient. The home has plenty of parking, which is rare on the island. The home is also in a very safe gated community. It was very close to Cruz Bay, grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants.We were provided with a long list of recommended restaurants, boat rentals and ect. We found the list very helpful.We can not say enough good things about this home and the experience we had with the host.We have stayed on St. John many times before and this was by far the best place we've found. We highly recommend. I might mention we are a little picky and we were completely satisfied with everything.

Had a great time

My group and i were very comfortable at the villa, lots of room for everyone, kitchen had all you needed and the patio and pool area were our favorite.

Amazing Villa and host!

My kids and I have been to Saint John 5 times before. This was our first time renting a villa- we stayed at Gallows Point previously. The villa was exactly as described and pictured in the listing, but better! We couldn’t have asked for more. Well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Deb responds very quickly and is super helpful. The house manager, Victor, met us at the ferry, took us to our car rental, and then we followed him to the house to show us around. He responded quickly when we had questions or needed help with something. My kids and I truly felt like this was our “home away from home”. I HOPE. We can return- SOON!

Magical Barefoot Life

We absolutely loved our stay at Barefoot Life. We are repeat visitors to St. John and it is one of our favorite places. The villa was perfect for our family and every need was accounted for. The beds were some of the most comfortable we've ever slept in! The view was incredible, and we loved the pool and deck. Thank you so much, we will be back!

Barefoot Great

Very nice well equipped house. Gated community. House next door shielded by vegetation. Great well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable sofa seats 5. Nice pool and deck. 100% sun on deck in afternoon, shaded in morning. Has a nice about 80 degree view of the ocean, overlooking Great Cruz Bay. Property manager Victor was helpful. Has a basic dish satellite package, but couldn’t connect tv to internet for my Netflix etc., but the internet was 10mbps and spotty so that might not be enough for Netflix anyways. TV in main area only. Internet was a little spotty, but cell worked well when internet was down. Had a minor problem with a lower bedroom AC which was addressed the following day. Lower floor has 2 bedrooms one was a little musty and the bunk room was more musty probably from not running AC enough, however we didn’t use bunk room as we only needed 3 bedrooms. Lower bedroom had inside shower and outside shower which was nice, we preferred the outside shower. Main floor has 2 bedrooms, living area and parking. AC worked great in upper 2 BR and main area. We enjoyed this property and we would recommend it.

Best Graduation Trip

This trip was for our sons graduation and filled with friends and cousins. This house was perfect for us! Spacious and comfortable for everyone, whether they were hanging out or needed a minute alone. The pool and patio were a HUGE hit every night after our activities on the island. The most perfect view for mom’s morning coffee too! We will definitely stay again on our next trip.

Lived up to all our expectations!

Barefoot Life was the perfect spot for us- two couples who have been friends for over 30 years. We have stayed at other villas on STJ and the owners of Barefoot were by far the most responsive, helpful, and accommodating. The villa had everything we needed - and then some.

An amazing visit! After many vacations over the years on St. John, my husband and I decided to bring our entire family to St. John. This property couldn't have accommodated all of us any better. The main house has a master bedroom and was a great place for all of us to gather. The other bedrooms are all separate affording my 2 daughters and husbands privacy. Beautiful view and great pool. The owners provided beach chairs and towels for all. So convenient for our beach adventures. Victor, the manager was very polite and helpful. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing home. Highly recommended!!!!

Amazing view including the sunset

Had a great time staying at this property. Once the construction is done and minor changes and additions are made it will be even better. Wi-Fi was not good but had read about that so wasn’t expecting much. Highly recommend this Villa.

Incredible spot to start 2023

We enjoyed a fantastic week at Barefoot Life in Jan 2023. Villa's layout was perfect for our group, we used all of the bedrooms plus the bunkroom. The view is amazing all day long, even at night looking back at the twinkling lights of St Thomas. We found the villa to be well stocked with linens, towels, beach gear etc. Although close to Cruz Bay, it's a windy 10-15 minute drive back and forth so we recommend doing a big shop at the Starfish market, much better selection and pricing than the Dolphin market. We highly recommend Barefoot Life to anyone looking for a St John villa with a million dollar view and space to spread out!

Lovely Villa with Amazing Views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Barefoot Life Villa! There was plenty of space for all of us and the views were amazing. We enjoyed many cups of morning coffee and sunsets on the patio off the back of the house overlooking Cruz Bay. Victor was so helpful getting us to the house and showing us around. Kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were well stocked with essentials and extras. Our week and a half on the island was wonderful here!

Awesome house in a gorgeous location

Our stay at Barefoot Life was outstanding. It was so nice to be greeted by someone at the ferry dock when we arrived in St. John who took us to the house and gave us the basics. Our group included three generations of family and the house worked perfectly for everyone. Aside from the incredible views, the house has several other important amenities including good air-conditioning, a great pool, and a fully stocked kitchen. We cooked dinner at the house three times and always had the tools we needed to prepare a delicious meal. We would 100% come back to this property!

No shoes no socks - who cares?

Fun villa. Plenty of room for 10. Spectacular view toward St. Thomas. Property manager responded quickly to our calls - only two :-). It would be a great place to hang out even in the pouring rain. It did not rain, just saying.

Beautiful Property

Fabulous Property, with incredible sunsets!

This property was exactly as described. Very well furnished with all the amenities that we would need and more. Plenty of beach towels, chairs, coolers. Snorkeling gear was available but we brought our own. The separation of the Suites was wonderful, so all felt that we had our own retreat...the outside deck and covered porch were utilized daily along with the pool. It was a very quiet neighborhood, and the driveway wasn't as challenging as initially thought. Thank you very much. Victor was very accommodating in meeting us at the Jeep rental company, even though we arrived an hour early. We did not need to call him through the week, as there was nothing that was needed or broke! Thank you once again.

Tim and I fell in love with St. John in the early 90's and brought our 4 daughters with us on a trip about 13 years ago. No matter where we traveled each year our daughters would all say that it was nice, but it wasn't St. John. We found ourselves coming back to St. John every other year and finally decided to purchase a home. We found the perfect villa in Oct of 2018 and spent the better part of 2019 fully renovating the property. We have continued upgrades every year and are finishing the 5th bedroom addition for the 2026 season and have recently added a full villa generator. We believe that we have created a relaxing villa with all the amenities needed to fully enjoy the vacation of a lifetime! We welcome our guests and hope to share our villa and our love of this impressive island.

Large lot with the most amazing view! A covered patio next to the pool allows for use during the island rain showers. We loved the layout of the villa, all bedrooms have their own bathroom and privacy from the rest of the house. Ability for additional amenities to be built on the lot in the future.
