Villa Rachele is a charming two-story villa built on the sloping cliff in front of the sea. It sleeps seven people. From Villa Rachele you will enjoy a splendid view of the sea and of the coastline. Villa Rachele is 270 square meters (2900 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, a nice private terrace, a private garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be in the center of Praiano, where you will find restaurants and shops. You will find the stop for the local bus at 20 meters (65 feet) and the beach at 1.5 km (roughly 1 mile). You will reach Villa Rachele from the street level without having to climb any steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Villa Rachele. If you do have one, you will be able to park it nearby, free of charge in a reserved parking space.
Villa Rachele is not recommended for small children, because of a terrace with a low railings.

Villa Rachele was originally a beautiful and impressive farmhouse with arched vaults. As happens many times the Villa was bought and restored by foreigners who came as tourists and became enchanted by these places which are considered to be some of the most beautiful in the world. Whoever ordered the restoration work certainly loved the place. They knew how to appreciate and put to good use the antique artwork and culture of the place including the production of hand-painted Majolica. The floors have been made of richly decorated Majolica of the‘700s, a lot of which has been salvaged from local antique churches. Each floor is differently decorated and therefore you can admire a variety of different elegant designs in rich colours, which makes this Villa seem like a living museum of old ceramic. The house is richly and completely furnished with antique furniture. It is welcoming and mirrors the owner’s personality. Villa Rachele will make you feel as if you are wanted guests at a friend’s house instead of tourists renting any house for the holiday period.


Villa Rachele is part of a three-storey house built on a slope and clings to the rocky coast. Villa Rachele itself covers the bottom and middle level. A totally separate apartment, with an independent entrance, is on the top level (it has a terrace overlooking the garden of Villa Rachele) and is occupied by locals.


The main entrance is at a higher level than the rest of the house. At ground level there is a pretty doorway with an antique marble column beside it and two gates, which lead, one to the garden and the other to the parking space. All the habitable parts of the house have been built on a slope lower than the road; therefore, even though the villa is in the centre of Praiano, it is well protected from outside noise.


As soon as you enter the house there is a nice, wide curved stairway built in the '700s style By going down this stair you arrive in the upper storey of the Villa.


A holiday at Villa Rachele is perfect for those who want to feel the authentic spell of the Amalfitan Coast in a Villa that has a unique character and who want to keep away from the frenetic holiday life in overcroded areas. The most famous tourist centres though, are in easy reach.
Swimming Pool
The above-ground swimming pool is 3 meters (10 feet) large by 4 meters (13 feet) long, 1 meter (3.2 feet) deep. The area is equipped with chairs and two deck chairs. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a view of the garden and of the sea. The pool is open from mid-June until mid-September.

Garden
The garden is partly shaded by a pergola and by perfumed citrus trees. It is equipped with a table and chairs. From the garden you will enjoy a charming view of the sea, of Praiano and the coast of Amalfi. In the garden you will also find an area where vegetables are grown and you will be able to pick up available vegetables according to the season.
Bottom FloorLiving Room
The living room is paved with characteristic majolica tiles. The furnishings are simple and comfortable. The furnishings include a L-shaped sofa, three armchairs and a divan bed for one guest. There is an age-old fireplace made of stone. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker and other small appliances. The dining table can accommodate six guests. In this room you will find a television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter the garden and the swimming pool through a double-glazed French door. The room also has two double-glazed windows with a view of the garden. It is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bedroom 1
You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the living room through an access area. The floor is paved with characteristic majolica tiles. It has two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches), that can be pushed together into a matrimonial bed if requested (please contact our staff in advance to make arrangements). From the bedroom you will be able to enter a garden through a French door. The room has a double-glazed window with a view of the greenery. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bathroom 1
The first bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a bathtub and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the living room through an access area.
Top FloorTerrace
The terrace is 20 square meters (215 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a porch. It is equipped with a table, chairs and two deck chairs. From the terrace you will enjoy a charming view of the sea, of Praiano and the coast of Amalfi.
Bedroom 2
You will be able to enter the second bedroom from the corridor. The floor is paved with characteristic majolica tiles. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). There is an age-old fireplace made of stone. The furnishings include two armchairs. From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace through a double-glazed French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bedroom 3
You will be able to enter the third bedroom from the corridor. The floor is paved with characteristic majolica tiles. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has two double-glazed windows with a view of the sea. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bathroom 2
The second bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a hydromassage shower and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the corridor.
Half bath 1
The half-bath is small and equipped with a washbasin and a toilet.
