Really fun experience for our family of four. The property is generous, there were indoor and outdoor areas to socialize or enjoy a little quiet time. The host was communicative and replied back quickly. We were able to find legal parking on the street available about a five minute walk from the pedestrian way/access steps going up to the house.

This is a wonderful place.

It was spacious and the grounds were well kept. We were not expecting to have a private pool. The views were spectacular.

Exceptional Host, and Breathtaking Views

Francesco-SMAAC was the best host ever !!! He help with every arrangement for my large group from transportation from airport through arranging all of our tours. House was well equipped for a family with kids !! Views are beautiful. Just be prepared for the 200 steps to get to the lovely accommodations.

Spacious Home, Stunning Views, Excellent Host

We had a wonderful stay. The house was immaculate, the beds large and comfortable, the aircon worked perfectly. The house is large and has plenty of space The views from the house are amazing from the pool area, the balconies and even the bathroom 😊 The host Francesco was so helpful, arranging dinner reservations, providing information and links for local transport and ferries to tour the area. Yes there are many steps to the house but this is the Amalfi coast so what we expected and it kept us all fit and burnt off all those calories consumed. We all had a wonderful stay.

Beautiful Property and View

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Praiano, we hated to leave. The location and view of the house were indeed as described... including the 200 steps leading to the house. For those with weak legs be mindful of the task of accessing the house as it's certainly a trek up. My husband and I considered ourselves to be in great shape and walking up those steps kicked our ass each time, yet we thought it was brilliant. One should also keep in mind that the accessing the town below is also a little bit of a hike, but worth it. It was a great little town with good food and people. Loved it there!

Dear Margaret, so happy to read that you appreciated the position and the area of the House. The stairs are the weak point and the strong point of our beloved Amalfi Coast: they allow you to reach breathtaking views. For this reason we indicate them as the first detail in the descriptions of our accommodations. We really look forward to host you again! Rosa - SMAAC Booking Manager

Beautiful Views and Comfort

Lovely stay in Praiano - the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms solid, and the A/C was exactly what we wanted. Great for a longer stay. Hard to undersell the upper garden/patio/pool — amazing views of the coast from here, plenty of umbrellas and shade to shield you from the sun. The kitchen was well-stocked, albeit missing a better coffee-brewing option than a small French press. It’s a hike from the main road & amalfi coast bus line, but that’s what one should expect staying on amalfi coast. The stairs were well-maintained so simply a matter of physical condition — the bag porter service at check-in was complementary AND clutch. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to others

Stunning views from the comfort of excellent accommodation.

First the excellent. Views from this property are stunning, there are various viewpoints be that on one of the many balconiesperhaps from the pool, simply breathtaking. The properties location allowed us to spend time in the beautiful town of Praiano ( The property was clean, well maintained and comfortable. The challenge of course is the steps up to the property, if you are reasonably fit and injury free these shouldn’t be a problem. We always found the management company helpful and it was easy to communicate with them via WhatsApp, they always replied promptly. We often called upon them to organise taxis. Would overall recommend this property for a memorable trip.

Perfect House & View

This house is amazing. If you can physically do the 200+ steps multiple times a day, then you should absolutely stay in this house. The power never failed (like many of the places we have been in Europe), the AC works great, the house is spotless and has everything you could need including beach towels. In all of our travels, Francesco is the best host we have encountered. He was always available, so helpful and thoughtful. The only downside is that the internet does not work well, and the house does not have good cell coverage. If you are planning to work, I would reach out to SMAAC ahead of time about other internet options. We would definitely stay in this house again. work to improve the internet.

Dear Loren, Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We are happy to know that you appreciated the house, the cleanliness, the amenities offered, and the reliability of the air conditioning and power supply. It is especially rewarding to know that our team was able to support you well during your stay and that you found the assistance attentive and helpful. We appreciate your honest feedback regarding internet and cell coverage. As you noted, these are common challenges in this area. Thank you again for recommending the house, and we will be very happy to welcome you back in the future. Warm regards, Rosa -SMAAC

Plan Ahead and You’ll Enjoy Paradise

I stayed at their vacation rental in August of this year. The home is a million dollar home with a million dollar view. The steps up are a workout, and I needed to stop for a break along the way, but I made it up even as a 350lb guy. The host makes it easier by having a porter help bring your bags upon arrival (but not when you leave - so dont pack too much). The home is amazing - and have nothing negative to say about it at all. And the area in general is amazing, with amazing views and relaxing aura. The only negative I have is about the logistics of the area in general. Parking is scarce, and when you find a spot, you will have to trek from your spot up and down mountain roads until you get to your stair-climb up to the home. Do not rely on uberpublic transport, as when you order one it just says it may take a while, with no given time. There is a local bus though, but I wasnt there long enough to figure it out. And there is no uber eatsanyone to deliver stuff to your door. I would highly recommend this place, just plan accordingly, and you can relax in style...

Dear Joseph, Thank you so much for your kind and detailed review! We are truly happy to hear that you enjoyed the house and its breathtaking view, it’s definitely one of the highlights of staying in this special place. We also appreciate you sharing your experience with the stairs: it’s great to know that, even with the climb, it was all worth it! The porter service on arrival is there exactly to help make that first step easier. Regarding the logistics, the Amalfi Coast is stunning but comes with its own challenges, especially with parking and transportation. For this reason, we usually recommend that guests arrive without a car and get around using publicprivate transport, which allows for a much more relaxed and stress-free experience. We always try to provide clear pre-arrival information and remain available during your stay for any assistancelocal tips. Thank you again for your stay, it would be a pleasure to welcome you back for another peaceful and stylish stay! Warm regards, Rosa- SMAAC Amalfi Coast

Dangerous Inaccessible Property

This property should not be allowed to the public. There are over 200 extremely steep steps to access this property and the majority of the steps do not have hand rails. We booked this property for five nights and had to check out after our third night. Our son was in a great deal of pain and could no longer make it up and down the steps. We informed the property manager and they refused to issue a credit for the remaining two nights that we didn’t use. We have a video of the steps leading up to the home should you wish to view. This home is a hazard and much too dangerous to keep on VRBO. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly with any questions or if you need any additional information. Respectfully, Marc

Dear Marc, we are very sorry to read this review. We are sorry but we must clarify the unpleasant situation that you described. The description of the house is very clear and precise, there are stairs to reach it. But it is the conformation of the Coast, the stairs are one of the strengths and weaknesses of the Coast. This allows to reach breathtaking views, as in our Punta di Diamante. In addition, in the confirmation of the reservation we reiterate that to reach it there are stairs, this also with video and direct contact of the guest. Our assistance was always present during the stay, we also looked for a home to make his son stay, but he did not accept. It was his decision to change his own area, knowing the terms of cancellation. We remain at your disposal for any clarification. Regards The SMAAC TEAM

Stay in Praiano

Host was very responsive and the place was overall nice. We enjoyed our time here but we had a few issues. - The stairs were steep and rough though. If it were just the 206 stairs from the street to the villa it probably would have been ok, but the entire area is essentially uphill. To get to the street the villa is even on from the Main Street, it’s 397 steep stairs. So from the Main Street to this villa is 600+ stairs. Your other option is walk the uphill winding roads, but it takes awhile. It is not easy to get on-the-fly transportation in this city. I would suggest renting scooters/vespas as it makes things easier, but we had a group of 7 and some weren’t comfortable driving them on the tight streets so it was tough. - Another issue we had was ants. There were a fair amount in the downstairs bedroom, as well as a ton near the pool. The lounge chairs weren’t usable as ants would always get you. - we had the shower drain drain too slowly in the main bathroom and flooded the floor

Dear Kenneth, Thank you for the review, we are happy you enjoyed our assistance. however we want to specify that the stairs are the weak point and the strong point of our beloved Amalfi Coast: they allow you to reach breathtaking views. For this reason we indicate them as the first detail in the descriptions of our accommodations. The house is also located in the middle of nature, so the house also has ant spray, but however if we had known, we would have handled this in another way. For the shower drain told us on the last day of stay and we immediately sent our maintainer to fix. I hope we will have a new occasion to host you in one of our accommodations! 4.5 stars, great view, great pool! hard stairs/maintenance can be improved

I would give it 4.5 stars. but gave 5 stars. The obvious is view, and the pool. But in general the house facilities and areas are great. Much larger groups could be hosted here (We were family of 5. 2+3). The 300 stairs are creating a very secluded experience. Great kitchen, we cooked every day. Great places with view for large family dinners. Great guidebook with a lot of information about everything. We will defiantly come back! - The freezer didn't work for the whole week and no maintenance. Which means no ice or ice creams! This was a huge downer for us. - There are ANTs everywhere, ask your host for refilling the anti ants spray. Spend time on cleaning everything or they will come. - WIFI had many issues due to the setup, required restart a few times a day. (modem-router + switch + 2 modems for wifi expansions) (The have high packet loss and disconnections...) - The stairs aren't that horrible, however, the local bus doesn't stop on 23 bus-stop unless you tell it to. which means you will have to walk down ~1,100 stairs on the way down. (More information about the local-bus could be added to the great guidebook)

Dear Niv, Thank you very much for your review and for your rating. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the view, the pool, and the overall comfort and space the house offers. It is great to know that it suited your family well, and that you found the facilities appropriate even for larger groups. As you mentioned, the stairs do contribute to a more private and peaceful atmosphere, which many of our guests truly appreciate. We would be happy to welcome you again for another relaxing stay in Praiano. Warm regards, Rosa- SMAAC Amalfi Coast

Wonderful Stay in Punta di Diamante!

My partner and I stayed in casa Punta di Diamante for 5 days. The casa was very clean upon arrival, even some fresh cold water in the fridge. Big compliment for the decoration of the house, it made the villa really cozy and we felt at home right away. We were amazed by the view and switched terraces during the day. Breakfast in the garden with a full view at Positano, afternoons on the sunbeds at the pool with a stunning view over the ocean, and evenings at the kitchenbedroom balcony with a full view at Praiano. The bed was really comfortable, we liked the shutters making the bedroom dark so we could sleep in. We brought a lot of clothes and shoes with us and there was more than enough storage space and clothes hangers. If you know about the stairs, it isn’t a problem at all. My husband is a runner, and he loved the challenge to run through the village, all the stairs and path of the gods. I’m 6 months pregnant so once a day climbing the stairs was enough for me, but doable. The amazing view and the beautiful streets of Praiano makes up for it. Praiano has enough options for restaurants, would recommend KM0, La Moressa and Kasai for dinner/lunch and the beach for cocktails. The kitchen is well equipped if you would like to cook. Special thanks to Francesco for his quick response whenever we had a question.

Devistating view. Killer stairs.

The view is unbearable from this property. Spacious and comfortable once you climb from the street. We were very happy and the host was very kind and responsive to our needs and requests. The property description describes the place as 200 some steps from the street. This is accurate, but be prepared for uphill uneven stair steps. This equals climbing a 14 story high-rise building every time you leave or come home. Additionally, to get places in town is a long walk with many time the number of stairs steps. One can walk to part of the town on switchback roads. But, to go from the home to the main town by sea is many many times 14 stories of steps. Only a week conditioned athlete could walk to the home from the main town as it is all uphill stairs. Last, I don't recommend driving in high season. We were there in May just before peak tourist season and had great difficulty finding legal parking. The private parking spot offered is more than a half a mile away and a long walk up, before the 200 stairs. It didn't work for us. I'm the end, a great place with a killer view. Wonderful hosts. But, arduous walking on steps. You'll need to be in very good physical condition. But, I didn't gain weight!
