Villa Douce Brise, built in 1924, is located in the lower part of the borough of Mont Boron, the most elegant residential area of Nice with many historic villas. The area is framed by the sea (with small beaches) the harbor and a pine forest.

PLEASE NOTE : the neighborhood is extremely quiet and the very close neighbors are very attached to this tranquility.

Please consider that parties and events are strictly prohibited, as well as any form of noise outside, garden and terraces, during the night.

Failure to comply with these rules will result in the immediate cancellation of the reservation and a deduction from the deposit.

Welcome to our beautiful villa,

Villa Douce Brise is an independent house without other residents where you will find all the comforts : space, proximity to touristic places, large terrace, swimming pool, large bedrooms, veranda, balcony, air conditioning, fitted kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi ...

The furnishings provide you with high and modern living comfort, paired with the charm and warmth of luxurious 1920s home décor : stucco, parquet, marble, original doors and shutters, Persian rugs, exceptional Art Deco furniture and a small collection of French paintings and prints from the period between 1920 and 1935.



Room layout (170m2) :

- Ground floor with entrance, living room, dining room, mint and fully equipped kitchen, toilet and large terrace.

- First floor with three bedrooms : Master bedroom with double bed (150x200cm) and access to a large balcony, library/office with pull-out sofa (140x200cm) and further access to the balcony and a bedroom with two single beds. Bathroom with toilet, further shower room with toilet. Veranda.

- Second floor with a bedroom with double bed (140x200cm), bathroom and toilet.

- Laundry room with washing machine and dryer, basement, cellar.

The villa has fast fiber internet and WiFi and two TV / DVD facilities. The beds, mattresses, sheets and towels are new (2017) and of the highest quality. The villa has central heating, air conditioning in all bedrooms and modern bathrooms. If required, a child safety lock can be installed between the terrace and the garden/pool.



Access



Villa is ideally located in the lower part of the borough of Mont Boron, close to the Harbor, less than 10 minutes away from Harbor’s tram.

The apartment is fully equipped. Bed linens and bathroom towels are provided, and you will have access to the complete accommodation.

Villa Douce Brise is very close to the sea and the city center.

Walking distances :

Bus stop - 2min.

Harbor, supermarkets, bakeries, cafes, restaurants, bank - 5min.

Beach - 10min.

Parks and playgrounds - 15min.

Old town and city center (or in the other direction a large pine forest) - 20min.



Transit



Access to accommodation from the airport is possible by tram: take the line n°2 in direction of Port Lympia and stop at the last stop. Journey takes only 30 minutes and this stop is 750m away from the apartment.

You can also ask us to arrange a private car transfer from the airport to the apartment.

Train station « Nice Riquier » is 20 minutes away on foot, allowing you to discover Antibes, Cannes, Grasse, Monaco, Menton or even to go in Italy easily.

Access to the building is also possible by car. You can park in front of the Villa.

For security reasons, before arrival an online check-in should be completed via our Yaago application in which the person in charge of the booking should provide identity document.



The accommodation should be returned in a suitable state of use, respecting the premises, the neighborhood, as well as basic rules of cleanliness and hygiene.



Parties and noisy evening gatherings are not allowed.

Smoking isn’t allowed inside.



Non-compliance with these instructions may result in a deduction from the deposit or cancellation of the stay.

Fabulous villa in Nice

Great location close to Nice port with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Villa was beautiful with so much space for all the family to have some privacy. Check in was easy, with good communication. Everything we needed was provided -coffee machine, hairdryer, WiFi, deckchairs.. Excellent bakery/cafe at the end of the road. Great location for exploring the Cote D’Azur with bus to Monaco/Menton at the end of the road and the tram stop within 10 minutes.

Beautiful villa on the cote d’azur

We stayed here with a group of friends and it was very clean, comfortable and relaxing. The hill up the street is strenuous on a hot day but other than that we had no complaints!!

Exceeded our expectations

As two families with tweens and teens we had a fabulous stay in this beautiful villa. The location was perfect, close to old Nice, supermarket, great restaurants and bars. The pool was a huge plus, it felt like the perfect combination of country villa with city benefits. We would definitely rent this property again- worth every penny.

Quaint Home in Quiet Nice

The stay and experience was wonderful. The photos are spot on and the home is fully equipped for a group or family to get ready and hit the town, come back and relax, or stay in and take advantage of the private pool and perfect kitchen! Have to take an Uber or taxi to town, not much in walking distance is the only downside. Definitely on my list for Nice homes to return to!

Luxury House, but missing final touch

Super nice house, plenty of space, nice rooms, cool pool - but terrace furniture are uncomfortable and their are no lounge chairs at the pool. Kitchen super, but very modern, with lack of atmosphere. Clean house and amazing welcome. Can absolutely be recommended.

So Nice in Nice!

We splurged on this place because of the beautiful photos, and it did not disappoint! Communication with the management team was impeccable. The art deco preservation is impressive and just so beautiful. The kitchen had the basics. Don't overlook the spice drawer to the right of the silverware drawer in the island. It was all just delightful. One thing that should be clear to renters is that this house is about a mile from the old town, which is where most things are happening. It is on a hill, so the physical effort to get to places is not nothing. If you are not fit, or don't like to walk, this place is not for you. For everyone else, it's a complete gem and you should rent it!

Nice house, some issues 3.5/5

Overall, I would give this house in Nice 3.5 out of five stars. There were good and bad aspects to this house. I will start with the negative first. First thing is the house is a little bit worn. The kitchen does not look like the photos posted. Most of the cupboard doors are cracked and chipped. The dishwasher did not work at all throughout the entire stay. There is one air-conditioning unit located upstairs, but it is not vented outside so essentially it does not work. It is about a 15 minute walk downhill to the old town. About an eight minute walk downhill to the tram station, which is helpful. Coming back to the house is more difficult as it is an incline to get to the top of the hill where the house is located.Not very centrally located. Most of the beds were fairly comfortable. One of the rooms had a very hard mattress which was uncomfortable to sleep on. For the good aspects about this rental, it was very clean when we first entered the home. There’s a vacuum and brooms available so you can tidy up throughout your stay. There’s a nice little pool in the backyard. The house is huge. We had two family staying there and there was plenty of room. Lots of fresh towels. Our kids had a great time. Overall, this is a nice house to stay with a large group. A little bit out-of-the-way and the house is getting worn. Be prepared to walk uphill or take the tram if you need to get around. Uber is available, so make sure you download the app before you go.

Family Vacation

Overall the villa and location were very nice. The beds/furniture were comfortable. The house was not super clean. Didn't seem like the rugs were well vacuumed and the kitchen was more of a surface clean. The location is up on a hill so be mindful if you plan to walk to and from town. We did have large rental cars that didn't fit in the garage but street parking was easy. Checking in They guide you through the property. When we questioned things like linens and such they acted like it was abnormal to have more than one towel per person. There's a pool. We're expected to use our one bath towel for the pool as well? They did eventually provide pool towels (even though "that's not normally done") each bathroom on the upper floors only had one hand towel. The first floor bathroom had no hand towel at all. Every tissue box had like two tissues in it and then they were empty. It just seemed like everything was running out. The manager showed us to the laundry area where the detergent was all out. We asked if they would provide more so we could do the laundry (since we only had one towel each) He said we could get more ourselves if we wanted to. We were leaving very early on the Monday morning. There are no check out instructions for leaving on your own in the guide book. I tried to contact the management company on the Sunday but no one would get back to me (it was Sunday). They did have an emergency/after hours number to call. No answer. Not a bad place. Just not well managed.

Douce Brise Nice

Wir hatten in der Villa Douce Brise eine sehr schöne Urlaubszeit. Einzig verbesserungswürdig sind die Betten und die WC Anlagen, die etwas veraltet sind. Die Ausstattung ist überaus geschmackvoll und stilsicher. Wir würden jederzeit wieder das Objekt buchen.

Nice clean house with plenty space

Lovely property, close to old port Nice. We were working locally in Villefranche-sur-Mer so ideal as around 10mins away. House will need slight modernising but is very charming with french character. Probably ideal in heat of summer. Overall great stay.

Séjour Douce Brise magnifique

Cette villa art déco a du cachet et est aussi élégante que fonctionnelle. Idéalement située, elle permet de joindre à pied l animation du centre-ville, port et vieux Nice , plages et points de restauration divers, puis de retrouver le calme puisque cette demeure est située dans une impasse bordées de résidences; à ce titre, véhicule de taille petite à moyenne conseillée... L accueil y est de qualité. Nous y avons passé 2 semaines magnifiques !

Wonderful place to stay in Nizza!

We we’re 8 people and had a wonderful time in this gorgeous Art Deco villa. We had two cars and it wasn’t a problem to park there. You could walk to the city center an the next bakery for fresh croissants was not far away. With a two year old we had to watch out for the beautiful but high marble stairs. Everyone enjoyed the pool and plenty of Watertoys and we loved the terrace. We would definitely recommend the place and hope to come back some time. (Small Note: There was a dead bird in the high grass next to the pool. And we would habe liked a garlic press and a salat spinner)

Lovely house in a nice neighborhood!

We where two families staying in Villa Deuce Brise for almost two weeks. The villa is lovely, with very nice furniture, and is well equipped. A bit overgrown backyard that should have been taken care of for a better first impression, and also lack of sun beds or comfortable chairs around the pool. If this had been present we would definetly have rated the house with 5 stars! The supermarket Intermarché is a 7 minutes walk from the villa, and so is the beach. A nice walk to the old town as well, and easy to take the bus to Monaco and Villefranche-sur- mer if you want to. Will definitely recommend this villa!

Fantastic villa in a lovely location with everything you could need for a perfect stay

We had a brilliant holiday staying at Villa Douce Brise, enjoying the pool and meals on the terrace. The house is spacious and well-equipped with everything you need to make it your home-away-from-home. Check in was very smooth with a warm welcome and the villa was spotless. The location is also great, with local beaches 5-10 min walk, a short walk to the port and the restaurants there, and a nice 20-25 min walk along the waterfront to the old town. Would love to come back and stay here again, thank you for having us!

Classy villa in a convenient location

As a family of 5 we stayed for a week at the end of August. The communication before arriving was very accommodating, and the villa was easy to find from the instructions provided. On arrival there was a warm welcome and introduction to the villa. It is a lovely old building which is well maintained with classic Art Deco furnishings, complemented by a modern well equipped kitchen. A garage was available for the hire car, which we used to keep it out of the way as the access street is narrow. Everything was clean and tidy with good quality linens and towels provided. The pool and surrounding area was enjoyable throughout the day with areas of sun and shade. The pool is deep and square, ideal for older children and adults to cool off. There are large terraces on two levels overlooking the pool. It was clean throughout, with a mid week check to ensure it met our expectations. The harbour is a 5 minute walk for something to eat or drink, the main promenade and old town a little further to walk. We rated the stay at 4*. Given that rentals in Nice are expensive at this time of year, for 5* there are a couple of improvements that are suggested. Although not a massive issue during the very hot weather, air conditioning in all bedrooms would improve comfort. The pool area trees and bushes were a little overgrown. Everything considered, we had a lovely stay and would recommend to others.

Sommarsemester

Detta hus föll våra två familjer i smaken. Lite lagomt lyxigt och väl disponerade utrymmen. All utrustning man kräver fanns att utnyttja. Servicen fanns det inget att klaga på heller. Det enda vi kan påtala är att det fanns bara två sovrum som hade aircondition, så det vart lite för varmt i de andra två sovrummen, allrummen och köket.
