La villa se encuentra en el corazón del campo de Salento, una parte maravillosamente rústica y atemporal de Puglia en el sur de Italia. Está extremadamente bien equipado, con instalaciones modernas y una gran terraza que rodea toda la propiedad, ideal para comer, relajarse y tomar el sol. La villa ha sido aislada para mantenerla agradablemente fresca incluso durante los meses más calurosos, pero también hay aire acondicionado gratuito en las habitaciones y ventiladores de techo. Hay dos habitaciones dobles, 2 cuartos de baño (uno en suite), wi-fi gratuito y una cocina familiar con lavavajillas y lavadora. La sala de estar tiene un televisor con una gran biblioteca de películas recientes y un sofá cama que brinda capacidad adicional para dormir para otros 2 huéspedes.

Tenemos una hectárea de tierra con olivares, árboles frutales y un viñedo, una barbacoa de piedra, y estamos desarrollando un jardín con césped y flora local. Hay una piscina (junio - septiembre) con su propia terraza disponible para uso exclusivo y privado de los huéspedes. La villa es tranquila y apartada, con los propietarios viviendo a solo 100 metros de distancia y siempre disponibles para brindar cualquier consejo o asistencia. Estamos convenientemente ubicados en el medio de la región de Salento, a 20 minutos de la playa más cercana y a poca distancia de toda la península. Salento se ha mantenido sin cambios durante generaciones: está cubierto con miles de acres de olivos, tiene ciudades y pueblos históricos, una carretera costera espectacular e innumerables playas y calas. Aunque es popular entre los turistas italianos, rara vez es visitado por turistas extranjeros y los locales siempre le darán una cálida bienvenida. También estamos a menos de media hora de la maravillosa ciudad barroca de Lecce, probablemente una de las ciudades italianas más bellas, atmosféricas y menos visitadas de las principales. Unas vacaciones en Salento son ideales para las personas que disfrutan de la vida en la playa, o que exploran rincones poco conocidos del Mediterráneo, o que solo quieren relajarse con comodidad, tomando el sol del verano.

Very quiet and nice villa - perfect to visit puglia

The house is prettier than on the pictures. It is nicely renovated, very clean and has everything you need ! It is in the countryside it is very quiet, so it is great to relax... the beds are comfortable. In 30 minutes or less you can go anywhere almost (beaches on both coast, nice Cities...). The owners were very kind and helpfull. We highly recommend this villa !!!

A lovely and peaceful place amid olive trees

We have spent a relaxing week in this lovely house amid olive trees and fig trees. There is a large and beautiful patio, 2 comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms and a fully-equipped kitchen. When we stayed there in August, temperatures rose to 45 degrees Celsius; luckily, we had airco! The owner is very friendly and helpful; when we arrived, we were offered a welcome pack with olive oil and other local produce and a very extensive guide containing information re. places to visit, supermarkets and restaurants. A haven of peace!

But we thought we should point out to potential guests that a typical summer highest temperature is more like 35 degrees (and by no means every day) - just right for ensuring the sea and swimming pool are pleasantly warm! A blissful retrear

A wonderfully peaceful location, we were able to relax and feel at home straight away. Bill was extremely helpful and friendly, willing to help out with guidance for the area. The welcome pack of essentials given our late arrival time was wonderful so we could rest after the journey. If we had specific questions Bill was always on hand and helped above and beyond what is expected. The villa itself was clean, comfortable and spacious with everything you could need for your holiday. The private use pool was a wonderful respite from the heat of the day. We definitely intend to return to the villa to repeat the experience.

A great house with a great host

We stayed for 2 weeks in July and loved the house and private pool. The house has everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. We had a mixture of days by the pool and BBQs in the evenings and days out. We loved the covered terrace which was great as the days were so hot. The air-conditioning in the bedrooms was a life saver. We visited Otranto, Gallipoli, Matera, Santa Maria de Leuca, and Alberobello. There is so much to do. But special mention has to go to Bill our host who was so helpful to us when we needed to get our car into the garage in Cutrofiano. He gave numerous lifts and translated so the problems were solved with minimum stress and disruption to our holiday. We can't praise Bill enough!! We would love to go back 😀

Wonderful and quietly located villaIt was a wonderful holiday in this lovingly furnished and quietly located villa. The magnificent terrace, surrounded by a very well-kept and beautifully landscaped garden with various flowers and fruit trees, basically served as our living room. It was a dream to be able to spend our holiday outside in the warm air. The sounds of cicadas and crickets added to the Mediterranean flair. This is how I imagine my summer holiday.The pool with the very comfortable loungers is surrounded by flowers and plants, as you can see in the pictures. We loved watching the sunset while dangling our feet in the pool. It is pure idyll and balm for the soul!We enjoyed every day to the full and are already planning to come back.Here are some more helpful information. We like to cook and barbecue on holiday and the facilities were very good. Everything we needed or would have needed was there.The rooms are very well maintained, the Wi-Fi works perfectly even to the pool, the air conditioning in the bedrooms is very quiet and high quality. The beds and pillows are super comfortable. We have rarely slept as well as we did there. We would like to thank our friendly, incredibly well organised and helpful host Bill. His villa is one of the premium villas and hosts for a reason.

Perfectly Delightful Cottage in Puglia

We stayed four nights at this absolutely charming little farmhouse in Puglia. The cottage is set on its own and there is complete privacy. There is a lovely patio that looks out onto olive groves. It is so lovely to sit outside and enjoy the view. The cottage itself is wonderful. It is modern, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean (which is of upmost importance to me). The owners have thought of every convenience and it takes no time at all to feel at home in this charming villa. There is a town nearby (5 min drive?) Cutrofiano, which is convenient for groceries, etc; however, the owners graciously have fresh milk, pasta, and other bits to get you settled so you don't have the sense to arrive and then have to leave again to get supplies. The location, as far as I was concerned, was fabulous. And easy drive to either coast. The owners live nearby but we did not see them once, except upon arrival; however, they are available should we have needed anything. In all, I completely recommend this great little place and will definitely suggest it to my friends if/when they travel to this gorgeous region. Thank you Bill for providing such a wonderful place to stay in Puglia!!

Schitterend gelegen vakantiehuis met mooie tuin en zwembad. In het huis was alles aanwezig wat je eventueel maar nodig kan hebben niets ontbrak. Als je aankomt heeft zeer vriendelijk eigenaar als deels boodschappen voor je gedaan je kan een maaltijd bereiden en er is ook voor ontbijt gezorgd. Ook is er alle informatie aanwezig wat er te doen is in de omgeving .

Propriétaires très sympathiques et très discrets. Très bon accueil avec des courses faites pour notre arrivée afin de ne pas devoir aller au supermarché en arrivant. Fantastic Villa

Stayed for 8 nights. Communication with Bill prior to our trip was really good. When we arrived he was there to meet us and went through local restaurants, beaches, etc. (His green book is an invaluable source of information). The villa was exactly what we wanted. In a lovely countryside location but 10 minute drive to restaurants and 25 mins to the east, west and south coast, ideal for sightseeing and the beaches. Villa itself is great, spacious, spotlessly clean, huge grounds and great pool. Really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend.

Ideale und gemütliche Unterkunft für Salento

Das großzügige Haus liegt ruhig und ideal zwischen der Ost-, Süd- und Westküste. Es konnten viele Ausflüge gemacht und Salento erkundet werden. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Es gibt quasi keine Nachbarn, die Gastgeber wohnen in der Nähe (fußläufig erreichbar). Der Pool wurde ausgiebig genutzt, da das Wasser stets kühl war, was bei der Hitze perfekt war. Das beste am Haus ist die große überdachte Terrasse, welche man als verlängertes Wohnzimmer nutzen kann. Bill und Tracy sind ausgezeichnete Gastgeber, sehr fürsorglich und sehr diskret. Der Kühlschrank war mit mehr als dem notwendigsten gefüllt, um den ersten Einkaufsstress am Ankunftstag zu vermeiden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! DANKE für den wunderbaren Urlaub!

Tolles, sehr gepflegtes und top ausgestattetes Haus!

Tolles, sehr gepflegtes und top ausgestattetes Haus Das wunderbare, absolut saubere und sehr ruhig gelegene Haus hat schon auf den Bildern bezaubernd ausgesehen und als wir ankamen war alles ganz genauso wie abgebildet. Sogar noch schöner und noch gepflegter. Bill hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und sogar der Kühlschrank war mit Delikatessen gefüllt. Das Auto hat einen schönen, schattigen Stellplatz und die Zufahrt ist angenehm und auch für einen BMW (kein SUV) einfach zu bewältigen. Bill hat sich täglich unmerklich für uns um den Pool gekümmert. Der Informationsaustausch war vorbildlich und unkompliziert. Absolut TOPP und gerne kommen wir wieder.

Ein wunderschöner Ort zum Entspannen

Wie auf den Bildern schönes, gemütliches Haus mit einer (wie ich finde) wunderschönen Terasse. Bill ist ein toller Vermieter, der es versteht sich um alles zu kümmern und sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich ist... und Gott sei Dank Dank englisch (Muttersprache) und italienisch spricht und so auch mal bei einer Reservierung helfen kann. Ja die Lage ist etwas abgeschieden... aber der Nächste Ort ist mit dem Auto nicht weit und hat eine menge gute Restaurants und ich war nach den vollen Städten und Ständen (Saison) sehr froh über den Frieden den dieser Ort ausstrahlt. Ich würde wieder kommen :)

Beautiful villa in a peaceful setting.

Beautiful villa in a quiet peaceful location. The villa has everything you could possibly need, it is very well equipped even grocery essentials to start you off! Bill and Tracy have gone the extra mile when thinking about their guests comfort and needs. It’s a great spot to explore the surrounding area and off the tourist track. Cutrofiano is the nearest town about a 10 min drive with a few restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. We had a great chilling week here and the pool was very welcome in the August heat!

Lovely Villa

Lovely villa in quiet country location and only 10 mins drive to nearest small town for supermarket, restaurants etc. The owners, Bill & Tracey, were great and could not be more helpful. They live a short distance away, they are on hand should any problems occur, but they are very unintrusive. Bill has produced a very useful 'bible' containing information regarding the villa, local shops and restaurants, and places to visit with maps and directions. This was invaluable. There is a small pool which is wonderful to cool off in on hot days and the covered terrace is perfect for eating outside or chilling on the sun loungers at the end of a hard day's sightseeing. Having spent a month in this beautiful hideaway we can thoroughly recommend Villa Della Mora to anyone looking to explore this delightful part of Puglia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return.

Fijn huis in hele rustige omgeving

Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien, de airco en de ventilatoren zijn erg fijn. Het zwembad is ondiep, maar dat wisten we vooraf en het is heerlijk om er lekker in af te koelen. In de omgeving zijn leuke tochtjes te maken en er zijn veel fijne, zeer betaalbare restaurants.

I moved to Puglia from London in 2008 with my partner and children, one of whom was born in Italy. We bought the rental villa and then the family house we now live in 100m away. The villa is secluded and yet near to neighbouring towns; it is surrounded by olive groves and fruit trees; and it is right in the centre of the Salento region of Puglia, providing access to both the Adriatic and Ionian coastlines and their countless coves, bays and beaches.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This area of Puglia is as yet largely undiscovered by foreign tourists, providing one of the last corners of Italy that genuinely offers a taste of Italian rural life as it has been lived for generations. The people are warm and welcoming, and there are countless bars and restaurants offering exceptionable value for money and quality: eating out - and food more generally - are local obsessions. The cuisine, not to mention absurdly cheap wine, should not be missed!

The Salento region escaped the worst of the coronavirus pandemic, with relatively few cases and little excess pressure on hospitals. But before Covid-19 came along, the region had already recently been devasted by a disease affecting olive trees, Xylella fastidiosa. Unfortunately, the overwhelming majority of the tree stock is now dying. A state subsidy scheme has been introduced to replant all the trees but this will take time. In the meantime, this lovely region is now suffering, and many of the older olive farmers are struggling to survive. We very much hope that you still wish to visit and thereby help to kickstart the renewal of this wonderful region.
