Beautiful House of Kachinas near Starbucks and Whole Foods


Welcome to the very quiet, recently remodeled townhouse in the beautiful and safe Bear Canyon Neighborhood.

We are proud to say we are getting a lot of repeat business.

Tall, wood-beamed living room, kachina dolls, 3 televisions. 1800 square feet. Fiber Internet. Fenced-off backyard. Washer and dryer. Roku/Fire TV. No cable. The beds are new and very comfortable. With no street noise, you will be able to sleep in as long as you like.

For sleeping, there is the master bedroom, 2nd bedroom and the closed off and completely private 3rd bedroom/den that has a very comfortable new queen sofa sleeper we purchased in 2025 with a large TV.

Original artwork, stained glass window, lots of books, games, and DVDs.

Backyard is completely barren, but we will make it up with the great inside of the house.

Centrally located near the beautiful Albuquerque Academy, golf courses, grocery stores and restaurants. 5 minute walk to Starbucks & Whole Foods.

20 minute drive to Old Town and airport. 15 minute drive to Elena Gallegos park for hiking under the Sandia Mountains.

Pets are welcome. We charge a pet fee of $40 per pet per stay up to 7 days and then prorated up to 1 month that is at $125. 50lb max. There is a charge more for additional pets.

Garage and house are directly connected.

You will have to be careful to keep your eyes on the road when driving by the amazing view of Mt. Sandia as you approach the house.

Hosts live just 10 minutes away.

Another great stay!

I've stayed a few times at the House of Kachinas and it's always clean and quiet! The neighborhood is great to take walks in, near some nice restaurants and easy to reach for groceries.

This property was immaculate. Clean, well-stocked with kitchenware. You could not ask for more for a traveling set of 3 adults. I would stay here again in a second given the opportunity to spend time in Albuquerque.

Amazing home and location

This was by far the best home I have stayed in using VRBO. Everything was labeled and the hosts were amazing and communication was easy. It would me a big mistake not to stay here.

Great house

This house was clean, extremely well stocked in the kitchen and the owners were great to work with. Everything was as described and the pictures are acurate. Lewis was great to communicate with and quickly replied when I had some questions prior to arrival. Wonderful for a family or group visiting the area.

Hospitality at its finest

Our stay was everything we had hoped for. A homelike atmosphere without the “to do” list. Close to local events and shopping with a wonderfully clean and well stocked place to come back to after a full day of adventures.

A spacious comfortable house, minutes walk from grocery stores

This is a wonderful property, spacious, comfortable, and clean. The amenities in the house (dishwasher, laundry, dryer) are also excellent. The house has a nice, clean garage. The house is a few minutes walk from Whole Foods and a number of restaurants. The hosts are very nice, firndly and easy to reach.

Spacious home

We moved to Albuquerque in 2018. Previously, we lived in Las Vegas, NV, and also in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Why they chose this property

We chose this property because of the location and open space feeling. The living room is very large for a house its size. You are very close to all sorts of convenient shopping (Walmart, Smiths, Whole Foods, Starbucks, Keva Juice, UPS Store, and much more). Also, the Albuquerque Academy -- with lovely running trails -- is just a few blocks away. It is a relatively short drive drive to Old Town or to the Balloon Fiesta Park or the University of New Mexico. The Bear Canyon neighborhood is peaceful, cheerful, safe -- and is generally regarded as one of the nicest in Albuquerque.
