Waterfront log cabin nestled in the woods providing unparalleled privacy

Enjoy your Maine vacation in this traditional waterfront log cabin.  The summer home for one of the area's shipbuilding families, Crow's Nest provides unparalleled privacy and is just a quick 10 minute drive from Bowdoin College and Brunswick's bustling Maine Street.  A large yard, woods, and access to hiking trails lead to endless exploring.  Catch stunning sunsets from the large porch or Adirondack chairs at the yard's edge beside the fire pit.  Includes access to a separate playhouse (affectionately called the "Baby Camp" by the owners) where your little ones can spend countless hours letting their imaginations run wild!

Step inside the living room with oversized rock fireplace (gas) and cathedral ceiling.  The wood inside this cabin is sure to impress! The living room opens to the eat-in kitchen.  There is a full bathroom off the kitchen, with tub/shower combo.  The first bedroom offers two twin beds.  Across the hallway, which is lined with historical family photographs, you'll find an office (with futon folding into a full for additional sleeping options).  At the end of the hallway lies the master bedroom, with king-sized bed and cathedral ceilings.  A master bath, with tub/shower combo completes the private master suite. 

Follow the massive staircase and you'll find a bonus living and sleeping space in the open loft, complete with two twin beds and a full-sized bed.  

Dogs are welcome at Crow's Nest (a non-refundable pet fee applies). More than one dog requires permission from host. If booking on VRBO click on "Travelers" box and check box by "I am traveling with pets."

The name is perfect as it tucked away in a beautiful isolated area right on the water & surrounded by nature reserves. The house met all of our needs and was nice and roomy. We spent the majority of our time on the wraparound porch, enjoying the view. Our dogs were in heaven as were we. The Mainstay crew was super responsive throughout & we loved that we felt 'away from it all' but had easy access to Brunswick for groceries, restaurants, etc... We can't wait to come back!

Gorgeous Waterfront View and Access in Rustic Cabin

The location is amazing - walking along the beach shore with our baby was the highlight of the trip. And the size of the cabin is nice, along with the cleanliness of the kitchen/bathrooms and overall check in process. However - if you are allergic to dust, you will have an issue staying here - there is dust everywhere, on the fans, windows, top of mirrors etc. Also, the main bedroom bed is like sleeping on a cement slab. I am not a picking mattress sleeper, but this was a doozy. And lastly, the TV remote buttons do not all work so you are not able to click "down" or "right" making it impossible to watch what you want to watch.
