CityCosy Strasbourg - 1-bedroom Hirtz, CityCosy-Strasbourg: T2 Résidence Hirtz

Comfortable Basement One-Bedroom Apartment - Perfect for Tourist and Business Stays

Description

⚠️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION: This accommodation is located entirely in a BASEMENT level with limited natural light (small street-level windows).

Welcome to our 25m² one-bedroom apartment located in the prestigious Orangerie district of Strasbourg. This fully furnished basement apartment offers you a functional and comfortable space for your business trip or your romantic getaway in the Alsatian capital.

The basement configuration of this apartment guarantees a pleasant and constant temperature all year round - naturally cool in summer and well insulated in winter. Ideal for travelers who appreciate an intimate atmosphere and who are looking for a comfortable base to explore Strasbourg without breaking the bank.

Location

The T2 Hirtz enjoys a privileged location in one of the most elegant and peaceful districts of Strasbourg, in the immediate vicinity of European institutions and within reasonable distance of the historic center.

  • Orangerie Park: 650m (8-minute walk)

  • Council of Europe: 600m (7-minute walk)

  • European Parliament: 1400m (17-minute walk)

  • Exhibition Park: 1600m (20-minute walk)

  • Strasbourg Cathedral: 1800m (22-minute walk)

  • Petite France: 2500m (30-minute walk or 20-25 minutes by tram)

Unique Features

Special advantages of our basement accommodation:

  • Constant temperature year-round - naturally cool in summer, cozy in winter

  • Superior sound insulation - ideal for peaceful nights

  • Enhanced security compared to above-ground apartments

  • Modern and carefully designed décor for optimal comfort

  • Intimate atmosphere conducive to relaxation

Important note: Due to its full basement configuration, the apartment has very limited natural light (small windows only) and requires artificial lighting during the day.

Accommodation Capacity

Our T2 Hirtz can comfortably accommodate up to 4 people:

  • 2 people in the bedroom area: two single beds (80cm x 200cm) that can be joined to form a double bed (160cm x 200cm)

  • 2 additional people on the living room sofa bed (140cm x 200cm)

Ideal for a couple, a small family or colleagues on a business trip who appreciate an economical accommodation solution in a privileged district of Strasbourg, and who are comfortable with the specificities of a basement apartment.

💡 Did you know?

Rue Daniel Hirtz, where our apartment is located, is named after an Alsatian writer born in Strasbourg on February 2, 1804. Georges Daniel Hirtz was a master turner and editor of the famous almanac "Der hinkende Bote am Rhein" between 1849 and 1891, a very popular publication in Alsace that mixed practical information, stories, and local anecdotes.

The building, designed by architect David Falk, was built between 1902 and 1903. Its facade features beautiful carved motifs evoking Art Nouveau and ceramic friezes with colors reminiscent of Minoan frescoes, making this place a remarkable architectural testimony of the era.

Amenities

  • Equipped kitchen: cooktop, traditional oven, microwave oven, refrigerator, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, complete kitchen utensils

  • Bathroom: shower, toilet, basic toiletries

  • Living room area: comfortable sofa bed, coffee table, dining area

  • Sleeping area: two single beds convertible into a double bed

  • Multimedia: television, high-speed Wi-Fi connection

  • Comfort: central heating, bed linen and towels provided

Important information to note: As this accommodation is entirely located in a basement, natural light is very limited, with only a few small windows at street level. A quality artificial lighting system has been installed to compensate for this particularity.

  • Arnaud & Co: cozy Italian cuisine specializing in salads and pasta with traditional sauces

FAQ

Is the apartment suitable for families?

Yes, our one-bedroom apartment is perfectly suitable for a couple with 1 or 2 children. The configuration with a separate bedroom area and a sofa bed in the living room offers all the necessary privacy. In addition, the quiet residential neighborhood and the proximity to the Orangerie Park are ideal for family outings.

How can I park nearby?

Parking in Strasbourg can be challenging. Paid parking spaces are available in the neighborhood. We recommend using public transportation, which is very efficient and well-served in this area.

What public transportation is nearby?

The "Université" tram station (lines C, E and F) is nearby, allowing you to easily reach the city center (20-25 minutes to Petite France) and other districts of Strasbourg.

Are there shops in the immediate vicinity?

The neighborhood has several convenience stores. The Boulevard de la Marne market is also within walking distance for your grocery shopping.

How is the apartment during hot weather?

This is one of the great advantages of our basement accommodation! Even during heat waves, the apartment remains naturally cool without requiring air conditioning, thanks to its underground configuration that maintains a constant and pleasant temperature.
