Thanks for all of the helpful information for future travelers and the very kind words about our unit. Thank you, Peter!
This property was so beautiful and my husband and I loved the historical story and impeccable rehab. We found some neighborhood stores and restaurants that we loved. Navigating to the city was relatively easy. Loved that there is a washer and dryer in the unit to wash beach clothes as we came from Virginia Beach. It was a wonderful way to celebrate us and Daniil was so responsive with any questions we had. Great stay!

Thank you for the kind words, and I'm so glad we were able to give you guys a comfortable stay on your anniversary. Come back and see us again, anytime!
If you like food, this is the place to stay. There were so many places within walking distance to enjoy. Sub Rosa was the best part of our stay. The only issue we had was the key code not working, but Emily resolved it so fast that it didn’t hinder anything! It was a great stay and overall experience.

Thank you so much for the kind words, Mary! With more technology, sometimes can come more problems ;-) But I'm glad we could get it sorted right away for you. It was our pleasure to host you and we hope to see you again.
Super thankful for this spot. My wife and I decided to stay here the two days following our wedding and it was amazing. Really clean and in a quiet but fun part of Richmond. The hosts were really understanding and gracious. Thank y’all.

Thanks for staying with us, Chris and for being such a great guest. We enjoyed hosting you and would welcome you back anytime!
We felt like locals staying in this elegant and charming apartment! From grabbing pastries at Sub Rosa in the morning to enjoying pizza across the street, we felt right at home in this thriving neighborhood.
The kitchen island provided the perfect work-remote-space by day when we were not out enjoying the neighborhood and visiting family.
We will 100% make this our home base when driving through RVA from now on.

So glad you enjoyed your stay, Diane! Definitely a lot of amazing food to enjoy just steps away from Eileen. We look forward to having you back soon!
Sofa bed was “unsleepable”. Poor quality bed pillows. Red chair very uncomfortable. Not enough coffee provided to cover our stay. Bathroom door lock is a hazard. It almost poked my eye. Location is perfect. Clean. Parking easy.

Hi Nancy, sorry to hear you had a less than great experience with us! Glad to hear you enjoyed the location and found parking with ease. Next time, reach out while you're here, and we will be happy to provide a 4-inch mattress topper (we provide this upon request). Regarding the other items (chair and pillows), that's a matter of personal preference! I believe the pictures accurately and truly convey everything about the room. And about the door lock, I don't know what to say! We appreciate you staying with us, and I would recommend checking out our newer units in 2416 Jefferson if you're interested in booking with us again. It sounds like the modern, new construction units might be more your vibe.
Parking was easy to find. In the evenings when the pizza place was packed, we had to park half a block away, rest of the time there was a space right out the door. ( it must be good 🍕 but we didn’t get a chance to eat there). Definitely get pastries and coffee at SubRosa bakery across the street-absolutely the best pastries on the east coast!
Cute apartment, well outfitted, only complaint could be the sliding bathroom door..barn type doors just don’t close tightly enough for privacy. But it would not stop us from returning. It was a lovely space.

Thank you very much, Tamara! And yes, we have definitely had a few comments related to that barn door.
We are so glad you enjoyed the rest of your stay however, and our charming neighborhood. We love it here.
Great apartment with excellent decor. We even were able to cook in the kitchen. Would definitely stay again.

Hi Lincoln! It was a pleasure hosting you. Glad you were able to utilize the kitchen and that you enjoyed the space and decor. Come back any time you're in area - we'd love to host you again!
We felt safe and secure in the apartment and walking to eateries in the neighborhood. The apartment was extremely well equipped and clean. The loud dance music every afternoon from the yoga studio was disconcerting. Plus, be aware there is a major construction project going on weekdays, immediately next door. We played tourist though and were gone most of the daytime hours. We would stay there again.
Staying at Eileen was a great experience! The check-in process was very efficient, and the hosts were incredibly helpful. Great location and lovely property.

Hi! I’m Daniil, a real estate developer in Richmond, Virginia with a passion for transforming how people live, work, and play. In February of 2020, I launched four vacation rentals in my mini boutique hotel, Eileen. Myself and my team believe in a guest-centered experience where hospitality comes first – we can’t wait to host you!
Why they chose this property
This building is a local gem with a captivating history. It was built around 1925 in Richmond’s oldest neighborhood, Church Hill. The first business located here was a dry goods & notions store. It has since been everything from a record store to a pool parlor. In 2018, after being abandoned for 8 years, we began the process of transforming her in to Church Hill’s mini boutique hotel, Eileen.
The renovation process was challenging but well worth it. After years of neglect, the foundation started sinking into the ground and the building developed a lean. It took two years to bring her back into action. Our team restored the foundation and preserved her historic charm. We added modern, luxe finishes that are impossible not to love. Despite all of that rehabilitation, the building held onto the tilt that she developed over the years, and that’s why we call her Eileen.
Eileen is a beauty. She now houses four separate vacation rentals, a juice bar, and a yoga studio. It’s the perfect place to relax, restore, and explore. We relish in hosting guests in such unique spaces, where each of you can add to the rich, ongoing history of Eileen.
What makes this property unique
There's nothing like the Eileen experience! Here, you'll get a taste of:
- Convenience: The walkability is abundant! There's a juice bar and a yoga studio on the first floor, a famous bakery (Sub Rosa) across the street, and award-winning restaurants, city views, and much more all within a few blocks. You'll get a quaint, downtown neighborhood that's just a short trip away from the hustle and bustle of city center. Parking is usually a breeze as well! If driving and exploring the city is more your style, we're close to all the major highways and only 5-10 minutes from downtown proper -- 20 minutes max to other Richmond favorites like the Fan and the Museum District.
- Modern Luxury: We hate to do this to you, but you're never going to want to leave! Each apartment at Eileen is fully appointed and unique. You'll find leathered granite, mood-board-worthy tile, gorgeous fixtures, and comfortable but stylish décor. We tried to think of everything to make your stay an absolute delight.
- Concierge-like support: Our team is guest-centered and always prepared to assist you during your stay. Restaurant recommendations? CHECK! Need directions? DONE. Confused about the thermostat? Just let us know -- we've ALWAYS got you covered!
