What a view! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the excellent weather and spectacular view from the deck! The property is exactly as described - well-appointed, clean and cozy. Local restaurants are fabulous and we sampled several different ones. Everyone got outside to walk the beach and absorb the salt air. Janice is a lovely and responsive host :)

Cozy with beautiful ocean views!

My sister and I had an amazing week at the Cape Cod Dune Cottage. The views were incredible including seeing whales and various sea birds. Two of the bedrooms had ocean views and all the beds were comfy. The cottage was fully stocked with everything we needed! It was a 1 minute walk down a path to the beach. Breathtaking ocean view!

Spectacular view of the ocean from the spacious deck, especially at sunset. (My partner teared up from the sheer beauty when she first saw it!) Also enjoyed the zero-gravity chair on the deck, and the binoculars. The interior is thoughtfully decorated, and we appreciated the investment in the additional half-bath (especially when we entertained a family of four for dinner). Kitchen is well-supplied (yay, multiple cutting boards!), and we were grateful for the variety of pillows with each bed. All the key information was posted on the refrigerator door. Janice was supremely responsive and even lent us a music stand when she found out we hadn't packed one. Our dog enjoyed the front yard for games of fetch in the morning, and we walked her on the beach every night (dogs are allowed before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m.). The outdoor shower helped us keep sand out of the house. Our only regret is that we didn't book far enough in advance to stay there for another week!

Fantastic getaway location

This home, the neighborhood, and the hosts provided everything we needed for a beautiful, relaxing, care free weekend on the Cape. The views are stunning, the house is charming, the beach is private and mere steps away, and Janice and Jeff were the easiest to work with. We can't wait to go back for another stay soon - you can't beat those sunsets. Highly recommend trying this place out for yourself!

Great beachside Cape Cod escape

Amazing cottage with room for the 5 of us, 3 teens and us parents. Beautiful deck with space to eat, read a book, grill and lay down. Outdoor shower has warm settings so you can swim on a cooler day and not freeze before you enter the cute cottage. I cooked 3 meals a day and baked often. It was an ample size kitchen with plenty of cookware and bakeware. Muffins, breads. Yum. The freezer was stocked with ice and the fridge was good sized. The 1 5 bathrooms were great. The kids loved their rooms and we loved the cozy bedroom with a great view. Tv had all the channels for the late nights for the teens. Great beach. Chairs were reasy for you to take down the short walk to the boardwalk. Beach and water was lovely. Will stay here again!!!

Disappointment. We were under the impression we were much closer to the water. Water views ONLY!! If you are looking to get away with a beach front property this isn’t the place. If you like accordion doors, exterior laundry and the smell of dog urine as you enter your front door then you have found your place. The decor was dated, the couch was scratchy and smelled of dog and we found chips and crackers from previous renters in between the cushions and in other various places throughout the week. We attempted to leave our first day and get at least a partial refund or placed in a different location this unfortunately didn’t occur because we didn’t call within 12 hours .. in fact it was less than 24 hours when we reached out to discuss our concerns. We were happy to hear our dog could join but we expected to be able to bring him onto the beach without hassle. He was only aloud on the beach in the early morning and evening hours. In fact our last morning we were very rudely confronted with a resident on the beach about our dog. With 2 younger children who likes sand toys, paddle boards and lunch at the beach it was just another day shlepping our stuff in a beach buggy down the long walkway and then of course getting it down a steep staircase. The value for this property and our experience did NOT match. For what we paid for the week .. we could have been in an all inclusive resort with no dishes and a comfortable place to sit at night. In our experience renting in the Sandwich area over the past 6 years this was our most disappointing rental.

The cottage was beautiful. I can't think of a single thing that it was lacking. Our host, Janice, was friendly, informative and very accommodating. We would rent it again anytime we plan on vacationing on Cape Cod.

A Perfect Getaway

I rented Seascapes for an April getaway. The Cape is beautiful and quiet in April. The house was everything one could want. The owner was gracious and answered all my questions in a timely way. Even though she was away during my stay she was very present, checking in by email on my arrival and mid-week. The house was clean and well-stocked. The beds were comfy. There was a cozy gas fireplace insert that warmed the whole house when there was a storm. Most importantly the house sits on the dunes. Every morning I could watch seals play in the water while I had coffee at the dining table. The boardwalk to the beach steps away. The neighborhood is a private area - safe to walk the dog without traffic. There are miles of beach to walk. I plan to return! A lovely host, a quaint house, a perfect spot.

My brother and I had an excellent time in this cottage by the sea. Great views and location for beach access and to explore the Cape. It was also a safe, comfortable and warm harbor during a Nor’easter that left us with no power for three days. Janice is a wonderful hostess. She was welcoming on our arrival and took thoughtful care of us during the emergency. The neighbors were kind and helpful too.

As the last and the best of the Hannah Family Beach cottages, 'SeasCape' was always fondly referred to as #1. There were 9 beach houses, all in Scorton Shores and Sandwich Downs and the Scorton River Motel on 6A which Aunt June and Aunt Lib rented to thousands of guests since the late 1950's. We continue the Hannah Family tradition by meeting and greeting new guests and have many return guests year after year. If your vacation needs are all about relaxation full of nature, sea, beach and sky- a quiet, private location and above all, a spectacular view of Cape Cod Bay, than SeasCape is a great fit!
