Provincetown Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Comfortably Sleeps 4-6 people

The cottage is a free standing cottage situated on Shankpainter Road. It is conveniently located 2 blocks from the Boatslip and steps away from the largest grocery store and liquor stores in town.

The cathedral ceilings and sky lights fill the living room with beautiful light. The living room space is open to the kitchen and dining room, which overlooks Shankpainter Pond. In addition, exclusive patio space with barbecue, outdoor firepit and outdoor furniture is available for you to barbecue and relax. The living room has a mounted 42' flat TV connected to cable, a DVD/CD player, VCR and surround sound stereo system. We remodeled the bathroom and it has brand new fixtures and amenities. FINALLY, as an added bonus there are TWO parking spaces.

Additional amenities include:

Linens, towels for use in the cottage, hair dryer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, refrigerator, full size washer/dryer, dishwasher and stove/oven.

NOTE:A one-time cleaning fee will be added to total

Maximum Occupancy (6): Due to the size and maintenance of the cottage, we limit the sleeping capacity to a maximum of 6 people. If the capacity rules are neglected the property owner will exercise the right to keep the full security deposit amount. Some exceptions can be made, if agreed to by the owner prior to arrival.

CLEANING FEE $150 (one time fee)

Lack of AC

  • 3 of 5

Nice location, close to grocery store and a short walk to Commercial Street. Outdoor space is a plus. Cottage is smaller than it appears and be aware there is no AC. We were there during a warm period and the cottage was HOT and really did not cool off for several days. The loft was very nearly unusable due to the heat. We arrived to no propane for the grill and had to pay to fill it. Cleaning fee is bogus and getting security deposit back is a challenge. Will not stay here again

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We have been renting the cottage since 2008 and it was never noted that we had A/C units. We have large overhead fans in each room and the number of windows as well as the cottage abuting the pond provides a tremendous amount of cross breeze ventilation. As for the loft space, there is a 'reverse mode' specifically on the fan that enables cooling of the loft space. I am always available to our tenants for questions and previous tenants have called to ask about use of the fans. Our property managers noted, it did appear that the loft space was used as the bed was disheveled and that there were food particals left in the loft space. Regarding the propane we would be happy to reimburse the $25 cost to refill the tank and had we been aware of the lack of gas, we would have offered to fill the tank. As far as the cleaning fee, everyone on the site requests a cleaning fee. And finally, in terms of a security deposit, ALL of our beach towels were taken from the property as well as our hand towels. We subtracted what it cost to replace all of those towels. As outlined in the Rental Contract, no linens or towels are should be taken from the cottage. If the agreement was broken, then as a property owner it was at our discretion to keep the entire security or not. We chose to simply keep the cost of the towels, which we believe was a fair option. I am very transparent with all renters and potential renters. Our process for renting has been the same as it was since we started renting in 2008. We are happy to answer any questions about our renting procedures and policies. They are quite standard as with other members of Also, when we aren't able to accomodate groups I am happy to recommend other local home owners. Thanks, Leilani

Charming, perfect location!

  • 4 of 5

We came to Provincetown with a friends to celebrate a few birthdays. The cottage is in the perfect location. A block from the grocery and liquor store and just a few blocks from Commercial. Clean, charming, and bright. We will definitely be back!

Sweet Affordable Cottage in Perfect Location

  • 4 of 5

We have stayed in this cottage a few times as a couple and with other friends. It is a perfect location, away from noise but an incredibly short walk to Commercial Street (and Joe's Coffee!) as well as to the big supermarket. The loft bed here is very comfortable especially with the skylight that opens for fresh night breezes!

The modern conveniences of a flat screen television and washer/dryer are an huge bonus in this comfortable space. I did not think I would want to watch television or do laundry while away from it all in Provincetown, but the option is great.

The space is really clean and does not feel small, even with 4 adults.

P-town Heaven

  • 5 of 5

I planned a long weekend in P-town with three friends and this cozy cottage was perfect for us girls. It's clean, bright, quiet and lovely. And it truly feels like a home away from home, especially with the stocked kitchen.

Most importantly, the cottage is a hop, skip and a jump away from all that P-town has to offer - restaurants, shopping, bars, beach, sun and fun. We were able to walk to the local grocery store too, which was a huge plus.

And, the cherry on top has to be dealing with the owner. She was always available whenever we called and booking the house was incredibly easy. Considering how expensive lodging is in P-town I would recommend booking this bargain property as early as possible.

We had an *amazing* weekend and would absolutely stay here again!

Sweetness by the Sea

  • 5 of 5

This cute cottage is a perfect haven for anybody! It's sweetly decorated to create a sense of calm and relaxation. The place is very clean and fully stocked (kitchen amenities, laundry, and bathrooms); making it easy and fun to stay in, cook, and enjoy the large outdoor yard or the big screen TV.

When we wanted to venture out, we were so close to everything (main streets of restaurants, grocery store, bike rentals, etc.) that we didn't even need a car.

The neighbors are very friendly and helpful and we loved getting to know them. What a fabulous way to enjoy P-town! We will definitely be back!

Winter getaway planning to return!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I decided to go to P-town last minute for New Years and found this terrific cottage with amazing views of a lake and close to the center of town (a five minute walk). It was perfect for the group of us. We certainly plan on returning here this summer. The property manager was very friendly and easy to work with.
