The kitchen area is a food lover`s dream, with ample space and seating for up to 20 people in the dining room. The massive living room is the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring, complete with a big screen TV, high-speed internet, and Wi-Fi throughout the property.

For those looking to host a large event, the Event Center is also available for an additional fee of $1,000.00 per day. With a maximum capacity of 175 people and tables to seat 100 people, it`s the ideal venue for corporate retreats, weddings, family reunions, large groups, and so much more. It is only seconds to the White River and Cotter Springs, and both Bull Shoals Lake and Norfork Lake just a short drive away! There are endless opportunities for outdoor activities and adventures.

Fly Fishing Trip

We always rent from Joey and his properties when we come to Arkansas to fish the White River. His properties are always clean, well provisioned and he makes it easy to check in. Highly recommend.

Even Better than the listing!! The home is beautiful and spacious. Hospitality is beyond anything we have seen and we travel a lot! They thought of everything. Beds are VERY comfy. Everyone had space. There is a beautiful park right down from the house with a great swimming hole, sand volleyball and more. Perfect for family, friends or a group!

As always, the Peglar properties always exceed expectations. We have stayed at all of his properties. They are always clean and well provisioned and the Miser Lodge was no exception. Had a group of six adults, plenty of room for a four day excursion to the White River. See you again!

Great for a Wedding!

We rented the top for the wedding party and had the wedding in the event space below! The whole place is lovely and great for a smaller wedding of about 50 inside. Angel was so helpful and accommodating. The beds are very comfortable and the wedding party loved being able to relax and visit the night before the wedding.

I have stayed at this property a number of times over the years. The recent face life after ownership change is very nice. This is a perfect place for a family event, family friends fishing trip etc. Great value for the product, I hope this continues to be such a great location and value. If so we will definitely stay a couple of times a year.

Best venue for a quilters retreat!

This was our first local venue for a small group of quilters to get together for a four day retreat. We will most definitely come back! The upstairs living area was beautifully decorated, the kitchen filled with everything we needed for meal prep, and the beds most comfortable. Plenty of extra bath towels and bed linens, all clean and fresh. Our first morning, we discovered the coffee maker and dishwasher weren’t working. One text to the property manager and he arrived in about an hour with a replacement coffee maker By mid afternoon, a new dishwasher was delivered and installed. Great customer care! We very highly recommend this property!!

This House has so much character and history. Plenty of space for everyone in our group, great location for River access. This will probably be our annual place to stay for our couples trip as everyone loved it. Great communication from Joey/Angel.

Our family loved the property. The location was perfect as our daughter's graduation was in Cotter. Very clean and staff very friendly. The event center was beautiful and met all our needs for this once in a lifetime event. I would highly recommend this property.

Why they chose this property

My wife and I tried To purchase this property approximately 20 years ago but it didn’t work out! My wife’s maiden name is Cotter and she has family routes that go back over 100 years to Cotter. When this property became available it was a no brainer for us to pick it up and add it to our unique vacation properties. We love fixing up historic buildings for people to enjoy. Cotter Arkansas is such a quaint little town. We love Cotter because it is very relaxing it is full of nature and it’s just a good way to slow down and spend time with family.

What makes this property unique

Lots of room to roam. Only 60 seconds to the historic White River and a beautiful piece of history!
