The Domaine de Granit includes several cottages, a detached house, "La Source," and other apartment cottages in the Buffet manor house where the owners reside, "Le Granit," a magnificent residence dating from the early 20th century. The Domaine de Granit includes a 1.6-hectare park, open to tenants. The Buffet residence, described as a "building of remarkable architecture," was built between 1900 and 1903 by Marie Louis Buffet, an engineer working in the Geliot factories near the manor.
The residence is nestled within a one-and-a-half-hectare estate protected by a perimeter wall.


We offer a spacious, newly renovated 120 m² apartment on the second floor of Le Granit.

The cottage can accommodate 3 to 6/7 people.
You will have 3 large, independent bedrooms, the first two with double beds and the last one with 3 single beds. The bathroom has a sink, bathtub, and a combined washer-dryer. There are 2 separate toilets. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, dishwasher, and small appliances. The adjoining living room and lounge area have a television, stereo system, and free Wi-Fi (not unlimited).

Heating is provided by an environmentally friendly wood chip boiler. Electricity and water are included in the price, subject to reasonable usage (as defined in the rental agreement):

Total 7 days: 105kWh included in the rental
Beyond this: 0.17€/kWh will be charged extra
Winter heating wood: included

Water: included

End-of-stay cleaning is provided for a mandatory fee of 90€ to ensure the comfort of subsequent guests.

The cottage is non-smoking.

Acceptance of the rental constitutes acceptance of the internal rules.

Please contact our trusted concierge partner at least 48 hours before your arrival to arrange your check-in time from 4:00 PM onwards.

A key box can be provided.

Check-out is between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM, with a final inspection: please allow sufficient time before your departure.

Practical services: Bed linen and towels are not included in the rental price. These services can be provided upon request by our concierge; please do not hesitate to contact them for any information.

Baby cot: Available on site at no extra charge.
Minimum 5-night stay required during February and Christmas.

Très bon weekend en amoureux

Les propriétaires ainsi que les personnes qui s'occupent de l'hébergement sont très réactifs et arrangeants. Nous avons été très bien accueilli dans des lieux nouvellement rénovés. Super vu depuis l'appartement, nous avons pu profiter de la cour ensoleillée pour faire un barbecue avec du bois ramassé en forêt. Séjour idéal, encore merci !

schöner Kurzurlaub

Wir hatten einen entspannten Kurzurlaub in Plainfaing. Die Wohnung ist sehr groß und somit perfekt für zwei Familien mit Kleinkindern. Wir wohnten in dieser Zeit alleine im Haus und mussten uns deshalb keine Sorgen über zu lautes Kindergetrampel machen ;) Ein paar Artikel, wie z.B. Handseife, Klopapier, Spülmaschinentabs hätten ausreichender vorhanden sein können, aber wir haben diese Sachen dann einfach selbst nachgekauft. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und man hat einen wunderschönen Blick über den Ort. Vor dem Haus gibt es Tische und Bänke zum gemütlich draußen Sitzen und die Kinder hatten viel Platz zum Spielen. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und finden das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis echt top! Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Wochenendausflug mit Freunden

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön groß, sauber und gepflegt. Die Frau mit der ich geschrieben habe war sehr bemüht. Leider gab es Kommunikationsschwierigkeiten, da lediglich Fronzösisch gesprochen bzw kommuniziert wurde. Des weiteren steht auf der Internetseite Bettwäsche und Handtücher vorhanden. Leider ist dem nicht so und wir mussten 15 Euro p.P dafür extra bezahlen. Es gab weder Geschirrhandtücher noch Spülmaschienen-Tabs. Auch vom Toilettenpapier gab es lediglich eine halbe Rolle. Kenne ich von Ferienwohnungen anders. Die Gegend ist schön. Bis auf die Kleinigkeiten zu empfehlen.

We are extremely surprised by your comment, considering the way you have behaved with Floriane: laughing at her, not respecting your time arrival by 2 hours, not saying the truth considering the fact that the house linen is NOT included in the price, and it’s clearly written in the contract enclosed on the site. The initial toilet paper is provided The towels and the sheets are included in the house linen . A rental cottage is not a hotel and you can’t expect to have pepper salt oil and so on: this is for you to buy them. If you do not want to buy them, then you need a hotel Finally, the communication was not good : You donnot speak French and Floriane does not speak German I was available by phone to translate in English but you’re not speaking English either. You have never answered the three messages I have sent on Abritel for you. Happy that the region was appreciated though.

Prima verblijf met veel activiteiten in de omgeving

Mooi en ruim appartement op de tweede etage. Alle benodigdheden zijn aanwezig. Jammer dat er geen voorzieningen zijn in de grote tuin en het terras. Geen stoelen, banken, tafel of speelgelegenheid voor de kinderen. Skigebied ligt op 15 minuten rijden en is echt een aanrader In het dorp is helaas niet veel te beleven.

Positif: Spacieux, lumineux, bien équipé, beau bâtiment, belle vue (/!/ 3 eme étage) Négatif : Literie pas terrible, pas d'endroit où déposer les poubelles (il y a des instructions mais elles semblent erronées), procédure d'entrée/sortie lourde, limite d'électricité trop juste étant donné que l'utilisation du chauffage électrique est indispensable dans la sdb (une purge des radiateurs ne ferait pas de mal)

Bonjour monsieur, nous vous remercions pour votre commentaire positif et sommes désolés que vous n’ayez pas trouvé le gîte totalement à votre convenance. Nous souhaitons apporter quelques éléments de réponses. Concernant la literie : les matelas sont neufs, les draps sont neufs, les lits sont effectivement anciens, mais c’est le but de la décoration du gîte, nous voulons éviter les meubles en kits ou trop modernes pour l’ensemble du gîte. Les instructions pour déposer les poubelles ont effectivement été changées en cours d’année, puisque l’agglomération de Saint-Dié des Vosges a modifié totalement les règles. Floriane à votre arrivée a dû vous expliquer les nouvelles modalités mais nous allons les afficher. Toutefois vous avez toujours un container qui se trouve sur notre propriété et dans lequel vous pouvez déposer vos poubelles à conditions qu’elles soient dans des sacs fermés. La procédure d’entrée et de sortie est assez simple, pour arriver il convient simplement de donner votre horaire à Floriane, qui est là pour vous accueillir, vous montrer l’entrée, vous expliquer où se trouve le gîte et son fonctionnement. Nous préférons cet accueil et ce relationnel humain à celui d’une boîte codée à clés. De plus, nous finançons le service de Floriane qui est à votre service durant tout votre séjour en cas de problème. La procédure de sortie est exactement la même avec un état des lieux de sortie, très classique. Si vous avez rencontré des problèmes de chauffage durant votre séjour, pourquoi ne pas l’avoir immédiatement signalé? Floriane est en contact avec tous les corps de métiers qui gèrent une demeure de cette taille, y compris le chauffagiste. Notre volonté est toujours la satisfaction de nos locataires. Contrairement à de nombreux autres gites en location, nous avons inclus la consommation d’électricité, d’eau froide/chaude et de chauffage dans le montant de la location, qui reste très inférieur au prix moyen d’un gîte 4 étoiles de 120m2. Mais comprenez bien que nous ne pouvons pas laisser les consommations sans aucune limite. Par exemple lorsque les fenêtres restent ouvertes en hiver, la consommation dépasse anormalement le forfait calculé. En espérant que vous aurez néanmoins passé un bon séjour dans notre gîte, Cordialement
