I tried to contact the owner, vrbo, and Sykes cottages by phone, the messaging systems, and WhatsApp over a 30 day period immediately after booking to cancel and discuss a refund. I have had no response from anyone - other than an automated reply on WhatsApp referring me to an ‘appropriate department’ and asking for my patience 7 days ago. I didn’t cancel the booking as unless I discussed it with someone there was no possibility of a refund. I also advised in messaging that the review would mot look good if no-one will talk to me. So here it is. I’m very disappointed in this situation and it appears the 3 non-coomunicative parties will take my money and give me no response for a stay I didn’t have - and then send me a review / feedback request. Pitiful.
