Savannah Beach & Racquet Club 303A

The Savannah Beach & Racquet Club is a gated bay front complex located on the quiet North end of Tybee Island. The Bay is where the Savannah River meets the Atlantic Ocean. There is a wonderful beach area just steps from the condo. This area of the beach is known to be very family friendly as it is less crowded. The location is great for dolphin watching, watching large ship containers travel into savannah port. If you enjoy walking along the beach, you can walk all the way to the South end of the Island, without leaving the sand. The Beach & Racquet Club is a great alternative to staying at a hotel room on the island. Enjoy more space and amenities like fully equipped kitchens, living room with cable TV, private balconies, tennis courts, and pool. All of the one-bedroom condos share use of a 14'x20' pool and 10"x10' kiddie pool. A&B building condos have coin-operate laundry on each floor available.

3rd floor unit overlooking pool/parking lot area. Queen size bed in bedroom, queen size sofa sleeper, 1 small bunk bed in hallway.

The area is nice and private. The beach was pretty much empty except for a few couples.

This property is older on Tybee Island. It is in a great location if you want to watch the ships come in and go out. I enjoyed not being where there were tons of people.

Perfect location

The process was very hands off and easy. The property has the basic amenities for a stay away from home but you’re not there for the room. The beach access, quiet community and pool are what you’re there for and it doesn’t disappoint

Great long weekend

This condo is an a great, quiet location close to the bridge to Savannah! Quirky delicious coffee shop within walking distance which we enjoyed on our morning walk! We were able to walk to other end of the island by foot, took us about an hour. Such a nice walk with so much to see! Got to see dolphins and big cargo ships when out on the balcony. We would stay here again!

Getaway

We had a nice time, especially because of the location. We were visiting family in Savannah, and the location on Tybee made the commute easier and less stressful. We did experience some issues with the key. It took us on average 1-2 minutes to figure out the right way to get the key working, and at check-in, we thought we weren't in the right place at first. Overall, it was a nice stay. Not sure if I would stay a whole week again, but we enjoyed the time with family and the beach.

February in Tybee

One-bedroom Racquet Club condo was adequate, although bedroom is very cramped - bed almost too big for the room. Several lightbulbs were missing when we arrived, but office quickly provided replacements. Condos are showing age around the edges, but nothing major. We would return. For us, a reasonable price is more important than luxurious appointments as long as everything works. Don't have a problem with the north beach location, but the parking fees everywhere may begin to pose a problem., adding an $8 fee every time you go out.

Great location

We really enjoyed the location of this property. On the north end of the island, the beach is really quiet compared to anything closer to the pier and you are home just about as soon as you drive on to the island. We were a little annoyed that they charge a fairly substantial cleaning fee and leave an envelope to tip the cleaning staff, while the unit was not especially clean. We would not usually use any pots or pans, but there was a water boil order on the island when we arrived (NOT the property owner's fault). The pots and pans were pretty disgusting. There were a couple small pieces of trash on the backs of the sofas and enough dust to reject the idea that a lot of time had been spent cleaning the unit since the last visitor, but the place was not filthy and not dirty enough that I would dissuade anyone from staying there. Finally, the toilet did not work properly. It would take about 45 minutes to an hour for the tank to refill after a flush, so you could only flush the toilet once an hour and you had to listen to the water trickle into the tank for an hour after flushing. So, a couple glitches, but not enough that we would recommend against staying at this property.

Amazing honeymoon

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay here! It was amazing to be able to see the ocean from our balcony and watch the dolphins! We highly recommend this place!

Right on the island

This condo is great for staying right on tybee. It was close to the bridge and easy to get to. The space was clean and comfortable. And it was near sea wolf. The best food and drinks we had all weekend!

Pleasantly surprised

The property I booked had been completely updated from the picture I used to book. So nicely done and pleasantly surprised to find a newly remodeled unit waiting for us. Entire design and layout was wonderful. My only complaint about the entire stay is the ant problem on the island and specifically in our kitchen. Despite that, we would definitely stay in this unit again. Definitely provided the break we needed in our busy schedule. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great Stay

The pictures don't really do the units charm justice. It's a fun relaxing retreat after you do your Tybee/Savannah thing. The view includes the pool and some of the property but there's a lovely view of the water from the balcony and I spent quality time watching the boats glide by The bed is really really soft so if you like a firm mattress this might be an issue. I slept well and me the wife & our 12yr old had a great time

Tybee vacation

Tybee is amazing! Savannah Beach and Racquet Club is a great property for a vacation with kids. Pool is great and boardwalk is a very short walk to the beach. North end is much more quiet and not built up. Easy to bike anywhere for dinner and to the beach. As far as the property goes at 303A the bed was EXTREMELY uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. The stove was also impossible to cook on and took forever just to boil water. Most other appliances and kitchen pots/pans are outdated and need to be replaced as well. All pots were cheap and food stuck to them. Toaster knob was broken. Air conditioner worked well and ice maker were great. Staff were a bit rude and could have been friendlier. Well-kept and very clean property grounds.

Weekend at the beach

The overall property was a typical beach getaway. But after a long day at the beach and pool it is very disappointing to not be able to sleep as the mattress was the worst thing I have ever encountered. The cleaning charge is astronomical for such a small place and was used to line pockets more than in a quality job.

Great Place to Get Away!

The condo itself was great. I would suggest that the people who are cleaning would leave enough towels, toilet paper, and paper towels for the duration of our trip. Two rolls of toilet paper for 4 people for 5 days doesn’t quite work. ;) Only other suggestion would be a darker curtain for the bedroom. It was very bright at 2am! Everything was great! Loved the balcony and the beds were comfy. Thank you!!
