About this property

Spectacular Views from Well Appointed Bach at Matheson Bay

Spectacular views of Matheson Bay and surrounds; very close to beach right next to accessway. Great location to stay and enjoy the lovely beach which is great for swimming. There are also many other attractions in the area - Goat Island, Matakana, many wonderful vineyards and lots of beaches and great walks are all closeby. Leigh is just a kilometre down the road where supplies can be obtained and a visit to Sawmill Cafe restaurant and bar is highly recommended. The house is very spacious with decks to enjoy the sun and views. There are two living areas, one upstairs and one downstairs. The downstairs area has a pooltable and dart board. There is also an indoor spa bath. This is an ideal place for a family. I have displayed some photos of the interior, all the bedrooms are nice and quite spacious. Plenty of blankets, pillows and duvets available.

House is not ideal for toddlers

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Leave the house tidy and do the dishes before you leave; Linen provided, bring your own towels if possible, otherwise plenty available at the bach

Stunning view and great outdoor living

The property was fantastic. It had a stunning location high above the beach but a walkway went down from the end of the driveway so you could be on the beach in 5mins. A beautiful deck for dining outside and a games room with a pool table and darts. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating.

Excellent escape

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful location. The house is very spacious and very well equipped with lots of fun things to do like pool, darts, board games or simply relaxing in a Hammock. But the highlight for us was the kindness of the hosts. They looked after us like no one else and the communication was excellent. They were very helpful and considerate. I would recommend this place a thousand times

Beautiful, well appointed bach with great views. Ample beds for our family of 2 x children and 4 x adults. If coming in summer, maybe an idea to bring fans as it can get quite hot

There was lots of room for all the grankids and family that went . It was a pleasure waking up to the Tui's . Tui's and wood pigeons flew around all day . The farmers market is good to visit also the one further up the road with the farm animals and playground for kids . Morris and James is also worth a visit to .

Such an amazing house in the best location for the beach, walks, just about anything you could need. We also enjoyed the peace and quiet, its amazingly private but has everything at your fingertips and entertainment even if its raining. Loved it! Would definitely go back.
