two boat ramps just up the road, one 2mins drive,one 5 mins drive
beach access right across road opposite bach and another beach with picnic area boat ramp 2mins drive
half way between Rotorua and Whakatane,35mins each way, great for perhaps shopping or to dine out!
Kawerau only 15mins drive for bigger grocery shop
local shop, cafe, liquor store and petrol station 5 mins drive

Wonderful location

Everything you need to enjoy Lake Rotoma in style. Double kayak, life jackets, well stocked kitchen. Comfy beds. Great DVD collection!

Gorgeous setting

Lake Rotoma is a pristine lake, msgical for water sports, kayaking and swimming. The bach on golden mile allowed us to make the most of the lake with its gorgeous views and accessibilty to the boat ramp. The bach was clean and cheerful carering for family group of adults well.

Beautiful spot

We loved it here, its a fantastic spot and has everything you need. We used the kayaks every day and spent time swimming, biking and hiking in the area and otherwise just soaked in the views from the deck. Thanks for having us :)

Well equipped little piece of paradise

Everything was on hand at this lovely property for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Lovely facilities, easy to cook in the well equipped kitchen and warm, dry and comfortable inside. Thank you for our stay!

super lake front location

Very nice location--easy to travel to all activity spots. Nice small and warm house, highly recommended. Even there is no internet, but that can keep the children out of all the devices.

Rotoma Getaway

Lovely location with awesome views of the lake. Owner very helpful organising to get back something we left at the property. We had great weather and enjoyed ourselves to the max.

The owners made fast contact with easy information from booking right through to our stay, the house was lovely and clean and everything just where it was promised. Heaps to keep us entertained and a lovely location. Thanks heaps!

Easter Fun

The bach is in a great location with easy access and had everything we needed for a great stay. We spent our days playing on the lake and then sat on the deck at night watching the sunset. It was a great way to spend Easter. Would definitely come back.

Perfect break away

What a great property to come to relax in and take in the breath taking views of the lake! Our family had a wonderful relaxing time away here. Bach had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Sue was great to communicate with. Even the lake being so high, we enjoyed exploring on the kayaks...thanks so much Sue and Dave for sharing your property..we loved it and will be back!!

Relaxing getaway

The house is well equipped (although it did not have a coffee plunger) and there is no doubt the view is amazing. The gas heater did not work and so we had to rely on a small oil heater, we had 1 degree nights, so it battled to warm the place up. The stove top was a bit of a nightmare to get going - there were instructions, but it did not always do what it was supposed to do. Nowhere in the description, did it say the house is on a very busy road. This was a big downside for us, as there was no peace sitting outside in the sun, with trucks thundering past. Sorry, I hate to be negative, but we would not go again.

Homely and clean

We had a great stay in the main house and really appreciated the use of the kayaks. Unfortunately the bunk room was uninhabitable. The damp was so bad, making the air foul and unhealthy. Not surprising seeing the earth piled up against one wall. We pulled the bed/mattress into main house for daughter to sleep in hall but ended up having to change the bedding as the smell was so bad and set her off coughing the first night. Sorry. Otherwise was a lovely bach and extremely homely and welcoming. (Though a bit less air freshner would be good - crikey it was strong and took a while to get fresh air back in.) New neighbour Debbie was lovely.

Beautiful by the lake

We enjoyed our stay very much, and enjoyed the view over the lake the most. The house had everything we need for a comfortable stay. Loved going kayaking and bbq-ing on the deck.

Great getaway

This place was great and I'd certainly stay there again. It was unpretentious, had a great view and had everything we needed. The covered veranda/deck area was the perfect place to put the dogs. Very clean and comfortable.

A great place to stay, dealing with the host was easy and fast. easy access to everything you need. Lake Rotoma is a beautiful place, safe for families. Watching the sunset over the lake from the deck.

Work trip

Very nice property. Our staff only had one major issue and that was no cellphone coverage which is quite a problem. They also said the beds were hard but that's subjective. Great location.
