Waiheke Waters Edge - Bo Waiheke

Inbäddat i en privat vik, bara några meter från en unik vattenlevnad, kommer du att smaka på det avslappnade livet att vara på en lantgård. Native Bush walks och rikligt fågelliv överflöd och djurlivet på gården inklusive en myriad av fågelarter (papegojor, påfåglar, duvor, ankor, duvor och höns), lamm och åsnor är säker på att hålla dig underhöll.

Waters Edge rymmer upp till 10 gäster. Huvudbyggnaden (The Boathouse) har två sovrum på övervåningen med lounge, pentry, matplats för 6 och ved eld på lägre nivå. Köket har en dubbel elektrisk spis, elektrisk frypan, mikrovågsugn och en full storlek kylskåp. Alla apparater, bestick, porslin och redskap du behöver kommer att finnas tillgängliga.

Badrummet innehåller en dusch och toalett, men det finns en utomhus kall dusch, för efter det uppfriskande badet.
Tvättmaskinen har en tvättmaskin, torktumlare, mobil BBQ och en full storlek frys. Det finns också en separat stuga med dusch, toalett och handfat i sig.

Tillträde kan vara från egen båt eller från AWD-fordon på grusväg, nås från Awaawaroa Road. Uthyrning av bröllopsplatser är tillgänglig på begäran

A special place

A completely private and secluded beach on marine reserve. So special. We loved staying there and swimming and relaxing. If you have a boat recommend using that to get there if not used to driving on steep roads.

Great location - but remote

Lovely little bach at a beautiful location. Kayaks and paddle boards available and nice to walk a bit around the property. Bach was clean and tidy and the sleep out was great for the kids. As per other review it was adventurous to get to and that’s also the draw back. The kitchen facilities are limited and with a family and no restaurant in the vicinity that requires proper planning ahead when it comes to grocery shopping and meal prep. No oven available and very limited grocery storage so you can’t shop too many days ahead. There was a good BBQ (large Weber) which helped though. All in all a great place to stay for a couple of days if you have a 4WD to move you around and a limited desire to be out and about too much at wider Waiheke.

Great location but not good in the rain

We arrived in terrible weather unfortunately and the floor in the kitchen/dining area (main area downstairs) was so wet, we had to use one of the four towels left for five guests to dry it. It looked as though it was left wet from the last clean. The sleepout was freezing and the heater left in the back room was rusted through and didn't feel safe to use. Some new towels would go a long way as we were left with not enough for all guests and a couple had bleach marks on them. We left a day early but this was mainly because of the weather.

Stay Waiheke

Property Manager Simon was brilliant. We loved interacting with the donkeys and the birds. The towels were new and fluffy.Property was not what was expected. I booked expecting to have a mooring although explained to me why later it was too late to book another property. The house was comfortable and the kitchen well equipped but no stove. The bunk house was not at all good. Felt the linen was not clean seem to have been used for storage and was only cleared out on the day we arrived. The shower dirty with mould. I certainly would not have 2 many people stay at the property. An elderly family member was suppose to have been with us and at the last minute could not join us because of health reasons - was a blessing. She would not have coped. Although we experienced a few negatives we enjoyed our holiday and the property was gorgeous.

Gorgeous Holiday Bach

We really loved the isolated position of this bach, the access to the pier, the beach and the farm animals. We didn't expect to see peacocks, eels or donkeys :). The landscaped setting is lovely. We were allowed to use the kyacks and paddle board, but we didn't do this due to poor weather. Some food for thought, the bach takes up to 10 people, but there is only room enough at the dinner table for 4, 6 at a squash. There is no lounge to sit in, but there is a couch which transforms into a bed. The upstairs area consists of 2 generous double bedrooms with beautiful views. The cabin has 8 bunk beds and one normal bed. It has a small ensuite bathroom. The hot water is supplied by a gas hot water heater, placed high on the wall, and therefore needs to be operated by an adult. It has a covered pilot light and appears to be safe. People coming here will need a 4-wheel drive vehicle (or 2 of you have a big party). It takes about 40 min to get to Oneroa. The private road is a light gavel and well made, a RAV 4 handles it well, and it is fun to drive. However, there are very steep areas to navigate along the way. Consider it part of the adventure!

Private Waiheke escape

We loved our stay in this beautiful private property. The house is small but cosy with the fire going and the location is stunning. Perfect for young kids. We will be back

Location was very good, especially as we came by boat and were able to use the jetty when the tide was not too low. The accommodation was quite good although the cottage could do with a bit of attention i.e. light bulbs replaced, only one hot plate worked very slowly, shower door was a bit wonky. All the linen and kitchen equipment was clean and new.
