I loved this suite! Everything I needed plus was thought of by Marilyse. Very cozy & comfy. Great location! A five minute walk to stores and markets. Also five minutes to the seabus which takes you right downtown .I’ll be coming back!
There was no ice in the freezer and only 2 coffee pods for a two day stay. Kitchen was well supplied with cooking apparatus.

Awe! Thank you so much Kari ! We are glad you enjoyed!!! Come back soon!
What a wonderful oasis! Marilyse and Mike are wonderful hosts and the location in North Vancouver can’t be beat. Bonus points for the sealife - an otter and a seal.
Our family had an excellent stay over thanksgiving weekend at Sea La Vie! The property offered all things necessary to make our stay perfect. This location was very convenient on the North Shore, with close access to transportation like the Sea Bus and a variety of restaurants. Marilyse was a great, communicative. host and our family would surely stay here again!
We had a great stay on their floating retreat with beautiful views. Easy access to the SeaBus to head to downtown Vancouver but lots of things to do near the boat community as well! Clean and had everything we needed. The host were super nice and very responsive. Would absolutely stay again!

Very chic, clean, comfy bed, lots of bedding, great kitchen, great amenities. Great location to the Quay, restaurants, etc. Only one criticism - uneven/gap access to front door - safety issue - need a covering ramp.

About the host
Hosted by Marilyse Mayerhofer
We’ve always been drawn to spaces that feel a little different, a little special… and creating this floating speakeasy was exactly that. We wanted to design a place that feels cozy, unique, and memorable — not just somewhere to stay, but somewhere you actually experience.
When we are not hosting, you’ll usually find us enjoying the outdoors, spending time by the water, or exploring great local spots around North Vancouver and Vancouver.
We truly enjoy hosting and helping guests feel comfortable and taken care of. Whether it’s sharing local recommendations or making sure everything is just right for your stay, We want you to feel relaxed from the moment you arrive.
We looking forward to hosting you !
Why they chose this property
Life here moves at a different pace.
Mornings start quietly with coffee on the water, watching the marina come to life as boats gently sway and the North Shore mountains glow in the background. There’s a calm, almost hidden-away feeling — like you’ve escaped the city without ever leaving it.
Step out of the marina and within minutes you’re in the heart of Lonsdale Quay — a vibrant waterfront hub filled with great restaurants, local shops, and casual spots to sit with a drink and take in the views. The SeaBus is right there, making downtown Vancouver feel effortlessly close.
What makes this location so special is the balance. You get the peaceful, tucked-away charm of marina living, but with instant access to everything — ocean walks, beaches, hiking trails, and the energy of the city just across the water.
Evenings are our favorite — the marina lights reflecting on the water, the skyline glowing in the distance, and that cozy feeling of being somewhere truly unique.
It’s relaxed, scenic, and just a little bit magical.
What makes this property unique
This isn’t just a place to stay — it’s an experience.
A converted boat shed turned into a modern speakeasy-style retreat, this floating suite offers something you simply won’t find in a typical hotel or condo. You’re literally living on the water, surrounded by the calm of the marina while still being minutes from the energy of downtown Vancouver.
Wake up to mountain views, then step outside to take in stunning skyline views of downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park — all from one location.
The space blends cozy luxury with character: warm lighting, a gas fireplace, and an intimate, stylish design that makes it feel like your own private hideaway.
Add to that the rare combination of: • A secure, gated marina setting • Walkable access to Lonsdale Quay and the SeaBus • Quick access to the city, beaches, and North Shore mountains
…and you have a stay that’s both peaceful and perfectly connected.
Perfect for couples, weekend escapes, or anyone looking for something memorable, different, and a little bit special.
