Opposite of What Was Expected
Upon arrival at the property, the neighborhood is listed as older, which is correct, but itâs also completely rundown. There was trash, shopping carts, boxes, cans, glass, plastic, etc. scattered around surrounding properties. There was also graffiti on a few nearby houses. Street parking was on a âfirst come first serveâ basis but there was nobody else parked on the street.After getting inside the house with our belongings, we took a quick look around to make sure everything was pretty much what the pictures showed but that wasnât the case. There were multiple spots that couldâve used a simple dusting job like the TV stand or the countertops. The vent in the bathroom had dust, dirt and maybe leaves hanging from it. There were dead bugs on and around furniture that we had to clean up. The internet was not even plugged in upon arrival and we had to contact the guest host to get someone to come out and fix it. The person who came out to fix it didnât speak any English and tried their best to fix the internet but said it was not theirs so they didnât know. We had heard a critter in the walls multiple times, scurrying around and munching on something, which we were told was probably a squirrel. We did not stay at the property overnight as we did not feel cozy or comfortable which are two things you want to feel while on vacation.I would advise any future guests looking at this property to make sure they do their due diligence before getting their vacation possiblyruined.
