Comfortable house just a couple of minutes away from the Lakeview Hotel at Shanty Creek. Well located for exploring further afield (Traverse City, Charlevoix, Boyne City etc.)

Great winter getaway!

We rented this house along with another family for a ski weekend at Shanty Creek. The house is in a great location between Shanty Creek and downtown Bellaire. We have rented it two years in a row and will try to get back next year!

Great house and property!

The house was very clean and we were very happy with our stay. Nice and quiet location with access to pools and beach area. We had 5 adults and 3 toddlers and had plenty of room in the house. Also close to beautiful Torch Lake where we rented a boat for a day. Wonderful property!

First VRBO experience. Place was spotless and in excellent condition. Wonderful location close to Crystal/Schuss. We loved the large great room and big windows overlooking the woods. Shannon was very responsive to our questions. If you're looking for a place to stay near Crystal/Schuss or Bellaire, this is it!

Peaceful Get Away

My husband and I love this property. It was just the right peace and quiet that we needed. If you love mtn. biking, golfing, fishing and breweries this is the perfect spot. The house is in awesome condition and very homey. We loved sitting out on the porch. my husband feels this is the perfect sot for a small group of golfers to stay. More private then the condos.

Great house for 2 families

We stayed here comfortably with 4 adults and 4 kids. A huge bonus was that there were 2 king rooms. It's hard enough to find 1 king and that's 100% required for my husband and I. The weather didn't cooperate for skiing, but the house was great for hanging out around the large kitchen table playing games and watching movies in the nice living room. Kitchen had everything you could want. The neighborhood was also super cute and hilly. I was hoping to take a nice walk, but it was rainy, so we headed up to the Lakeview Hotel pool and had a nice time there. Would definitely stay here again.

Peacefull cabin in a wood, perfect for families getaway.

Thanks Shanon and Marc we had a wonderful time. The cabin itself was spacious, comfortable, just renovated, fully stocked and decorated very nicely. We could not ask for more. The property location was perfect for heading to Mackinac Island for the day. (1.5 hour). The owners provided accesses to the beach club, where you can swim, barbecue, play tennis- very lovely beach. At night we had a bonfire with wood in a privacy of the forest. Kids enjoyed watching bright stars (you can’t see it in a city). The owners thought about everything you maid need at your stay. They were very responsive and made the transaction quick and easy, directions and suggestions came few days before we arrived. I would suggest this to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable getaway for a large family or even 2. We will look forward to hopefully going back next year.

A very nice place!

This house is very clean with no smells. It has a well equipped kitchen. Other than food you really don’t have to bring anything. All linens, towels, toilet paper, and paper towel are provided. They even provided garbage bags. Comfortably sleeps 6 to 8 people. It’s a great wooded location. The owners are quick to answer if you have any problems or questions. The coffee maker wasn’t working and by the next day a new one was brought to us! A map of the area would have been helpful. The pools are are only a mile away but the private beach was about 5. Both were very nice! Our only complaint as a family were the chairs around the firepit. They were very dirty. Overall this place is well worth the visit!

This property is roomy and beautiful. It has a lovely firepit, but it rained and unfortunately, we were unable to use it. It has a great location to see all the sites in upper Michigan--Mackinaw island, St Ignace, the Dunes near Traverse city, Traverse city itself, Torch lake. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nice location, some minor issues

When we arrived, was advised that the dryer was not working. Owner did his best to correct problem, but it took a week. He offered compensation for our inconvenience. The place was roomy and comfortable.

A+ top to bottom. Thanks again for a great ski getaway in the woods. 8 minute drive to Schuss Mountain, tucked into woods, private yet reliably plowed for easy access. Cannot recommend enough. Property manger/owners are always prompt in replies if questions arise. Thank you!

Had everything we needed

This was a well-stocked home with all the kitchen pans, appliances, and utensils needed for cooking. House is light and very open with tall ceilings. All 3 bedrooms had at least a double bed, which we find rarely and really appreciate. I think a set of instructions for using the very modern stove would be helpful.
