Lime Hut with wood burning sauna - Waipara Narrows offgrid
A short walk down a steep bush track, nestled among limestone formations and regenerating native vegetation, will lead you to our cosy off-grid eco-cabin. This path also takes you by your own private sauna and outdoor shower.
This is your chance to unplug from devices, talk, relax and recharge.
The Hut is well insulated with wool in the ceiling/floor and straw in the walls. The windows are double glazed and the small woodburner heats the space quickly.
The 13m2 hut is our take on a DOC cabin - but is constructed of natural materials - including Clay, Lime, Straw, Wool and Timber. The beautiful floor is of red beech, the ceiling is rough sawn cedar and the interior walls are finished in earthen and lime plasters.
The cabin is off-grid with solar power for lights/usb port. There is no wifi or cell coverage at the hut.
