Welcome to Forest Solitude!

This unique four-bedroom, four-bath home is conveniently located just ten minutes from downtown Cashiers. You won't have to sacrifice convenience for a sense of retreat and solitude. This home was truly designed for nature enthusiasts. Expansive windows on both levels flood the home with natural light and create the sensation of being nestled among the treetops.

The kitchen, dining, and living room flow together into one spacious open-floor plan, making it an ideal space for gathering everyone together. The kitchen has bar seating for four and is equipped with an oven, electric stovetop, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher. An extra mini freezer is avialble as well. The dining table seats eight.

Warming the great room is a wood-burning fireplace. You'll enjoy the ambiance it creates as you take in the view from the bay window seat! The home features a Smart TV, and YouTube TV is provided.

The primary bedroom is conveniently located off the kitchen. It has a queen bed and its own private bathroom, which connects to the laundry room for added ease and functionality. Upstairs, you'll find two bedrooms, each with queen beds and walk-in closets. Both bedrooms have their own sink and toilet, with a shared Jack-and-Jill-style shower. A third bedroom features four twin bunk beds and its own private bath.

Relax on the front deck while enjoying a breathtaking view of Whiteside Mountain. A propane gas grill is available.

There is a fire pit on the property, as well as a pathway that leads to another seating area down by Fowler Creek! The neighborhood is a perfect place for mountain biking, strolling through the woods, and exploration.

We had a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful and the neighborhood was perfect. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to see in the area. We also enjoyed taking early morning walks around the neighborhood before heading out for our adventures each day. The property manager was wonderful to work with, communication was very quick and she was incredibly kind.

Great Views

This property was perfect for our family vacation. The house is unique but worked great for our extended family. It has views of Whitesides and access to Fowler Creek. Great location.

Love this place!

I cannot say enough good things about our stay! From the check-in experience to the cleanliness of the home, everything was perfect. It was a great space for our family to enjoy a weekend get together. The views are absolutely stunning! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful stay

The house was very unique. The layout was different, but we really enjoyed it. Everything was clean and well stocked. The host was very commutative and friendly. Wonderful view in a very quiet setting! Will definitely be back.

Post Christmas Getaway

Property was beautiful with a spectacular view, quiet, properly set up and communication with Hannah was exceptional. House was well stocked and having ample fire logs was delightful given the cold front that came in during our stay. We would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the area.

Most attentive manager and fantastic location

Our stay was fantastic. We had a few moments with the internet, but it was rectified with fantastic communication form the manager who was handling the property. Solitude but not Seclusion

Wonderful stay in a wonderful home! The house is fun and architecturally unique with great views of Whiteside Mountains. Fantastic location with easy access to so much - hiking, shopping, restaurants, etc. Our visit included trips to Cashiers (minutes away), Highlands (30 minutes or so) and Brevard (about an hour away). Hailey, property manager, was so pleasant and easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again!

I could go on and on about how perfect this place was for our family’s vacation, so I’ll stick to bullet points: -impeccably clean, beautiful layout -all attention to details met, from fire wood to technology needs to anything you could need in the kitchen -stunning views, gorgeous trees, windows that let you take it all in -a deck you wanted to live on, propane grill, umbrella -wonderful elevation, felt secluded, but an easy drive to town -top notch communication and generous hosts

The Family

The property was well appointed for all our needs. The layout of the house worked well with one master suite on the first level and the remaining bedrooms on the 2nd floor. Very comfortable in so many ways. Kitchen well equipped and great set up to prepare and cook meals. Views are spectacular and watching the weather change was fascinating. Temperature in the house was always comfortable. A great rental property.

Holiday weekend with the children

Beautiful location, quiet, peaceful and perfect for us. The view from the kitchen sink of Whiteside Mountain made any kitchen work peaceful and a pleasure. This home is so well designed with plenty of storage in bedrooms and a comfortable living space that was easily changed for fireplace or TV use. The property manager was wonderful, available for questions etc throughout our stay. Also, walks just in the neighborhood are like being in a park allowing us to get exercise without traveling on hiking off-days. We will definitely be back.

Great time was had by all!

We had a wonderful stay at this property, despite having poor weather for part of our trip. We are two families, with four teenage children between us. There was plenty of room for all of us to have some space when needed or hang out together for movie nights. The downstairs basement room got a lot of use for pool tournaments and mountain bike storage. The windows on the main level were AMAZING - loved being able to look out from all areas and just feel surrounded by nature! We were pleasantly surprised at how the dry the outside seat cushions were after all the rain - heed the owners’ suggestion and keep the covers on when not in use! Would definitely stay here again :)
