This retreat is your Russell base, away from the crowds, overlooking Orongo Bay and under the maunga, Tikitikiora. The home is two bedroom. One master with a super king bed and another smaller room with a double and single bed bunk. The bathroom is functional but small with a washing machine. The kitchen has all you may need and some pantry items to suppliment your cooking. The living area is open plan flowing from ranchslders on to the deck. Inside are comfy couches and on the deck there's a large table for gathering. There is plenty of space for vehicles, camping and playing surrounded by nature. Take an early morning stroll on the local boardwalk surrounded by the mangroves and learn about the local history. Indulge in some fresh oysters from the bay from Kororareka Oysters. Upon nightfall, listen out for ruru and kiwi and view the stars. This is our family home in a place nurtured over the years. You will discover gardens, fruit trees and places to linger. Relax, enjoy and respect this space. Our ideal guests are able to stay for over three nights, wish to explore the Russell peninsula and by staying here understand their role as kaitiaki of the whenua. Mauri ora.
