Great for girls get away! Typically like sitting around a bon fire but decided to sit on lovely porch instead this trip. Water is a short walk, we enjoyed walking the beach. House is clean and well stocked. The danish and fruit was a nice surprise and appreciated!

Quaint and quiet

My family spent a week in the house for vacation. It was clean and well maintained. Even though the house is on a busy road, it sits a bit off the road. The traffic did not disturb my sleep. We enjoyed spending time there.

Perfect for family visit

This property was perfect for visiting family in Van Buren Point for a 90th birthday celebration. The cottage was clean, kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked and the host was very responsive and welcomed us upon arrival. We had four adults and a baby and could have fit a few more. Would definitely book again!

Close to the Lake

It was exactly what we were looking for. There is a covered porch on one side and an uncovered porch on the other. Which was a nice spot to have your coffee in the morning. Having two bathrooms was the selling point for us. The beds were very comfortable.

Family reunion

The cottage was nicely equipped, very clean, comfortable, and worked well for us. The owners live next door and so they were readily available if we had had any questions or problems, which we did not. They have marked the grassy right of way that leads to the lake access, about a five minute walk.

What's not to love about this property?!?! It is located just outside of Van Buren Bay. Easy access to the beach. Gina was wonderful in communicating with me. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped inside, from the welcome note on the refrigerator, to the mints laid on our pillows. For us, the location was the big reason we selected this property, as we come here annually to meet up with family who own property in Van Buren Bay. We will definitely be back! We've already booked for next year!

Enjoyed our stay very much. House was great. Host left us some welcoming things, loved them. The only problems were the host didn't get in touch with us about check in procedure until 4pm the night before, web site says 3 days before check in. Also host left paper work for registration saying they would come get it. Never came.

Annoying Rooster at 6am

We stayed at this property in 2023 without issue. This year, there was a rooster who crowed every morning at 6 AM. It was annoying, and did not make the stay fun at all. People couldn’t sleep. Not only that, but there were other issues that have made this an unpleasant experience. We will not rent this property again!

We apologized for any inconvenience the neighbors rooster caused. It was explained that the neighbor had taken the young rooster in as an emergency rescue and he was moved before the end of your stay. As for the “other issues “ you had asked to book for another year until you realized it had been booked by someone else. The real issue here is that you brought more guests than you had booked for and have refused to pay for them. In the end, we will NOT allow you to stay in the future due to NON payment.

The property had everything for an enjoyable.and comfortable stay. Property owners were awesome. Very hospitable and friendly. Everything clean and well kept. Visited beaches which we love. Went to wineries. Great drive in theater half a mile down the road. So much to do all within a short distance. Great place.to stay for any purpose

Great clean cozy house

Wonderful Cottage!

This is a pristine property! Gina and Dan are great hosts that make sure you have everything you need. The house is spacious and nicely appointed. The location is close to a main road but otherwise it is very near the lake. Highly recommend!

Great stay

Gina and Dan were wonderful hosts. The house was spotless and decorated to perfection. We fished nearby and had a fire in the backyard every night. Everything you could possibly want which provided for in the home.
