Cabin 2 Miles From Trade Days GRANNY'S CABIN THEMED WITH ANTIQUES

We call this Granny's cabin because we decorated with things straight out of our childhood. There are paintings on the wall done by my Grandmother and furniture items just like my Great-Grandmother had in her house in the 70s. It will take you on a stroll down memory lane. The cabin has one bedroom with a queen size bed (new mattress!). There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, so the property can accommodate 4, but the sleeper is really meant for children. It has a kitchen with full-size refrigerator, microwave, and an oak dining table for four. (The antique stove is for looks only and is not operational). The bathroom features an antique ball and claw tub. The cabin has an adorable front porch with seating and a lovely wine wall which is great for photos. Also, there is a wonderful fire pit shared between this cabin and one next to it (also for rent on this site if you have multiple families to bring.) Property is literally two and a half miles from trade days but you'll feel like your way out in the country on our heavily wooded property. We also have several fun art installations around the property that would make excellent photo opportunities. If you're lucky you might even see our resident owl...pictured on top of our repurposed church steeple! Smart TV with Netflix and HUGE DVD collection. There are also several books and games in the cabin for your entertainment. Free Wi-Fi. Full disclosure...rural internet can be unreliable and that is why we provide DVDs, books, etc. No pets, please. Cabin is non-smoking. There are 2 other cabins on the property available for rent. Loved our three-night stay in Granny's Cabin. Cool little place to stay. In its own little corner of the forest. Got all the creature comforts. just a mile from town and i think two to the trade days grounds. The only distraction is that it is close to the highway. So, if you're a lite sleeper that might be a disadvantage. Did not bother this big ol snorin baby. The bed was so soft and comfy. I do caution if you're a slightly seasoned person, the clawfoot bathtub is a little tough to get in and out of. A sturdy grab bar attached close to the end of the tub would be handy.We will definitely be back next year if not sooner.

Granny’s Cabin is a trip back to your grandmother’s house. Very fun to see the decor from the past. The hosts were attentive to any needs we had.

Perfect Place for a Getaway

The cabin is absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway. It’s also located very close to the trade days at canton. The cabin has a very rustic feel. The decor is very neat and the claw foot bath tub is perfect for relaxing. The outdoor fire pit was perfect for making s’mores. It’s a definite must stay here if you are in the area. The owners are very attentive and will make check in a breeze! Will definitely stay here again!

Cute Cabin

Enjoyed the place overall, very close to Canton activities. Felt a little musty and the cabins are very close to each other as well as to the main home on the property. Would also have preferred to not have been off of a main highway. Super sweet greeter, Splat, the cat. We had a good time and would rent again.

Hello. I am sorry that you felt the cabin was musty. We pride ourselves on clean (and breathable) cabins. The floors, paint, and mattress are only 2 years old. The sheets are BRAND NEW (you were the first guest to sleep o them) 600 thread count. And we have a dehumidifier in there to decrease moisture...East Texas is humid! As far as the proximity of the other cabins, we will post a picture of all cabins on our listings so everyone, henceforth, is aware. Some people might even be excited, as they might have a large party. Also, regarding road noise, we put up an 8 foot privacy fence. We wish it had deadened the sound a bit more but it is what it is... Thank you again for staying with us and we do hope you will return.

Eclipse Trip with stay at Granny’s Cabjn

Fantastic. Cabin clean and true to pictures. Eclipse T-shirt and viewing glasses greeted us. One in party had mobility issues and host brought a walker to cabin without us asking. Great place. Wonder cabin porch for “proc sitting”. Popcorn, honey buns, coffee and peppermint greeted us. Only thing missing was chocolate mint on our pillow - ha ha! Recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Close to Canton Trade Days - not much else

Sadly this place was not renovated like the description or very clean. We had no clue which cabin was ours when we arrived and had difficulty finding the cabin. The floors were very dirty and between the window ac and whatever the other dehumidifier thing was - made the cabin muggy and smell bad. I was shocked because the reviews were good.

I don't think the problem was my cabin or my description. I am meticulous about my cleaning. We have a dehumidifier because East Texas is very muggy and IT HAD BEEN RAINING FOR SEVERAL DAYS BEFORE YOU ARRIVED. The floors were vacuumed, swept, and swiffered before you arrived. However, we have a dirt driveway. If you walked in and didn't remove your shoes, the sandy soil is going to get tracked in. I cannot control the weather. As far as your inability to find the cabin, I sent you the physical address and a picture of the front of the cabin with the key location. Yes, we have 3 cabins but none of them look the same...they have three different color doors, 3 different size of porch, etc. So, not difficult at all to differentiate... I think our cabins are so highly rated because they are very cute (exactly what the pictures show), we provide nice amenities (fire pit, snacks in each cabin, etc), I personally clean each room and my own family calls me "compulsive" about my cleaning, and we are very attentive to our guests needs. I am sorry that this wasn't the Ritz-Carlton but we love our cabins and so do MOST of our guests. The guests who LITERALLY checked in the same day you checked out gave us a glowing 5-star review...

Great location- close to trade days and restaurants. Excellent property owners that handle any needs quickly! Loved that they also decorated the cabins for Halloween- it was a great personal touch!

This by far surpassed our expectations. The rooms were extremely clean. The place they are on is beautiful and well maintained. Very relaxing to the point of where we even talked about how we could live there. They provided everything you could possibly need. It was very close to the trade days parking and shopping for anything you forgot to bring with you. Lots of place close for breakfast. Seriously if you dont pick this place to stay you are very much missing out.

Fun spot!

We enjoyed the cabin, it was cozy and comfortable, and the fire pit and X-Box were both hits with the kids! The cooking tools are very limited, don't expect to do anything gourmet. It is right off the highway, which is good for those who want to get right to trading days, but it was pretty noisy for us. We had a nice time, and were glad for the getaway!

Glad you enjoyed your stay enough to book again already! We always try to work with guests on check-in and check-out but since my husband and I do everything (clean, laundry, etc) and work, sometimes we can't get everything done in time for early check-in. But once we've cleaned, we are always happy to let people come early or stay late (if more guests aren't checking in later). Also, upon rereading, I think I might have made it seem that check-in had to be exactly at 4, but just mean any time after that.

It was so cool. Felt like what I have sleep in as a child. Not fancy, very quaint. Bed was very comfortable. Also our hostess recommended anawesome Mexican restaurant. The porch is awesome along with fire pit. Only down sides were the gas stove is just for show and when we arrived traffic by the cabin has loud. Once sun when down it was much better.
